I've had a flurry of appointments this week for betas. The numbers came back great, right on track. My doctor was able to rule out EP and I got to see baby's heartbeat for the first time today 🥰 Just a small flicker on the screen, but I'm so grateful! I'm 6 weeks and due 3/6/20. Next ultrasound at 8 weeks later this month!
@bluguitarhannah I am glad that the doc is not concerned and hope all is well when you go in for u/s #2.
@tiffanylea0320 Glad you were able to see the beat & glad to hear yr #s look good!
AFM: I just scheduled my first appt. for August 1! The receptionist was fine with me not wanting to do any HCG draws like last time, but did say bc of my history they'd want me in a little sooner than 8w--so I'll be btw 6-7 weeks when I go to that appt.
First ultrasound on Tuesday 7/23! I'll be 6+2. I'm excited, trying not to feel nervous.. Wondering if it will show two sacs. Twins run in my family and people have always said I was going to have twins. Not really even sure if I want twins though...just having one successful pregnancy could be cool, but two babies at the same darn time sounds like alot. Hmm. We shall see!
I had my first appointment July 12 where I had my sono an blood work done! I go back August 7th for 10 week for more blood work an another sono. Due March 2nd heart beat 115 at 6 weeks an 2 days
Just had my appointment! He said everything looks normal, and they’re sending me for an ultrasound now. It’s annoying that they don’t have ultrasounds on site, but I’d rather drive and be able to see little bean.
@miss.sally yay for good news so far! My OB practice schedules ultrasounds outside of regular appointments too. I either have to go to the imaging department in the basement, or they usually have an u/s tech scheduled with appointments in their office about once a week.
Second us was today at 7+3. Saw the heartbeat at 161 bpm and all is looking strong. Going back in 3 weeks. I’ll have additional scans this time around due to some health issues which means we get to see our little peanut more often!

I saw my little bean! Measuring about a week behind where I originally thought (which makes sense because otherwise baby was immaculate conception). Saw the heart beating at 118bpm, which they weren’t concerned about, but I can’t help worrying that it’s a bit low. However I’m not sure the ultrasound tech had the line exactly on the heart so who knows.
@ajp03d What relief. Seeing a strong heartbeat at 7 weeks + is such a good sign! Congrats! @miss.sally Yes 118 doesn't seem too low. I went through a lot of this and just... stay away from Google. You can find good/bad/irrational. When you don't know your exact dates, the HR is hard to gauge!
I did it, ladies! I had the courage yesterday to make my first appointment/ultrasound. It will be on August 9th, when I am 9 weeks + 1 day. I was TEMPTED to do one earlier, but I feel like this gives me a good amount of time to get more definitive news and to have more accurate/rational feelings about this pregnancy!
@stassischroeder thank you, that makes me feel better. **TW** I had a low HR with one of my miscarriages so it is a bit of a trigger for me. I’m going to ask for a repeat ultrasound in the next few weeks just to check though.
@momoftoddlers I went with a midwife group last time! I loved the prenatal care. All of my appointments were 30 minutes to an hour depending on what questions I had and there was so much trust and care there. No one touched my vagina until I was at 38 or 40 weeks. I didn't have to do the GTT with that glucose drink- they gave detailed instructions on what to eat for breakfast however long before the test and that was that.
I did happen to have the only midwife I didn't like on call when my water broke (PROM, unfortunately) so that was a doozy of an awful experience, but honestly can't imagine getting prenatal care from anyone but the midwives I loved! (hissssssss at she who shall not be named)
@NTbaby17 Holding my breath would be an understatement. I am an absolute wreck the day of any US and always will be because I'm wired that way and PGAL. GOOD LUCK! You are going to love it! Can't wait to hear!
@EmilyLove25 phew thank you, will send an update ! My best friend has been through a lot recently with pregnancy and It's starting to sink in how much of a miracle it is to be able to go in and see your baby with a healthy heartbeat, Trying not to take anything for granted this pregnancy ❤️ @bluguitarhannah crossing my fingers for you for you that your next US puts your mind at ease !
Okay ladies, saw the heartbeat ! Obviously have to wait for final dr report on the scan but things looked good to me. And I’m happy! Good luck to all waiting on first scans!
Had my 1st ultrasound today and confirmed pregnant with a lil squish! Heartbeat visible at 126bpm measuring at 6wks 3 days. Had bloodwork done too and all came back normal, although may need a little kick of thyroid medication again like I did with 1st pregnancy. So relieved

Oh @bluguitarhannah I’m so so sorry. My heart is so sad for you. I’ll keep holding out hope and please keep us updated. When is your next ultrasound? PM me if you want to talk
@bluguitarhannah holding out hope for you. A girl in my last bmb had been told something similar but it turned out she had ovulated late and the next scan showed everything was okay. I hope you get a similar outcome
@bluguitarhannah I am so sorry. My heart is breaking for how you must be feeling right now, but I’m going to send positive prayers that good news is just around the corner. Xoxo
