@stashattack i'm also in the awkward stage (about 12 weeks) of: is this bloat? is this my uterus? why is this girl's clothes getting tighter but these are clearly not maternity clothes yet. LOL I wonder how many people at work are gossiping behind my back.
@amb0924 yas!! I'm just gonna rock my bodycon dresses anyway because a couple of them are super comfy and stretchy anyway. (i'm also 12 weeks approaching 13). Maybe my body will tell my office before I have to with words LOL
@stashattack I feel that awkward stage. I definitely think that I probably just look fat but I can't imagine people haven't noticed. I plan to just get it out of the way if my OB says the NT screen looks fine just so I don't have the perceived weird stares...
Here I was thinking I was going to get through the first trimester with nausea but no vomiting. That all ended this morning when I threw up my thyroid pill....had to call my pharmacist friend and wake her up to ask if I should take it again. I felt terrible for waking her but also just terrible anyways so that's what friends are for?! I feel fully initiated now....
Insomnia hit hard last night while I was awake from 1:30-3 when my 13 month old finally decided to have his best night of sleep in like a month. (Molars🙈)
So. Much. Gas! My poor husband and stepson, thank goodness my stepson now knows I’m pregnant, and somewhat gets it. I get so paranoid about pains, and it’s always just gas. The worst in the morning and before bed. Gas X does nothing for me.
@clee5711 I can so relate! I have the same issue. I am just wide awake. I listen to podcasts, try to meditate, but nothing really helps. Do you have any tips?
@lbolt2020 I’m right there with you. It’s awful. MH somehow hasn’t noticed yet...probably because he just assumes it’s our dog. But I have noticed and it’s so embarrassing
@Xstatic3333 Oh good, I’m not the only one with food rages. My husband and I got an order to go from our favorite restaurant and they forgot my favorite sauce and I almost lost it. My husband was looking at me like “oh my gosh, who are you and what have you done with my wife”.
@lbolt2020 omg I know what you mean about the pains! My first pregnancy I would get them bad and always thought something was wrong. Once I went to the ER because it was in the middle of the night and my upper abdomen/I couldn’t stand up lol At least this time I know it’s probably just gas!
@MrsJessS I’ve totally blamed it on the poor dog before 😂😂
Today I've legit cried twice for absolutely no reason! I was laughing at my DS running around naked and next thing you know I was crying uncontrollably! Stupid hormones lol
February Siggy Challenge- Post pregnancy indulgences
@smount2011 me too! on thursday I had an appointment at the diabetes clinic to start on insulin & it was a group session. The other girl in there had just found out she was pregnant the day before & had been told she only had a 10% chance of conceiving naturally & had been to the ivf clinic the week before & was put on the waiting list. Well after hearing that, I was bawling!
@valerie4786 I'm sorry. I threw up today too. Twice. I didn't really have much nausea until now. I thought I was a lucky one, but nope, just a late bloomer. Now I also have headaches that seem to last all day and the past few days, insomnia. But the fatigue is mostly gone so there's that.
@valerie4786 and @peppyj9 That’s how it was for me last pregnancy. I was fine all first tri other than heartburn and then puked right at end of week 12/13. It didn’t last, but it was kind of an obnoxious send-off to first trimester. I haven’t thrown up (yet) this pregnancy but had a lot more nausea and other GI issues.
@valerie4786 and @peppyj9 I’m sorry ladies! My first pregnancy, I didn’t get much nausea, but still found that random things would make me throw up even out of the first trimester. One time I ate a mango and it sent me throwing up. This time, the nausea is getting better but I do find myself gagging at things. And I feel you on the headaches/insomnia! That has kicked in since last week.
Omg was at a car show this afternoon and I was fine up until the food vendor’s smells came my way and I had to immediately had to get away. The smell of the grill almost made me puke right then and there. I can’t wait for this to go away.
@stashattack I had the same reaction at Sams Club today.
Ive been feeling fine for the most part except when I’m hungry. I go from hungry to dry heaving and nauseous in a matter of minutes, like I need to eat right away or it may end badly.
My boobs are starting to hurt and feel full. I even had a let-down sensation a few days ago, but no leaking yet. I feel like this is all way too soon. Like can ya wait til 3rd tri, boobs?
@c1kc1kpol1cn1k I haven’t gotten that yet but I’ve heard of it happening. I’ve also heard varicose veins down there can be a thing 😬. Hopefully you don’t have to deal with the latter.
Looks like I need snacks by my bed in the middle of the night. I was up around 3 this morning and had that feeling I was going to start dry heaving any second. Thankfully I had a granola bar on my nightstand so I was able to eat that quickly. I also noticed I get really bad rlp when I haven’t gone pee in a while. Both of things were so pleasant at 3 am.
@c1kc1kpol1cn1k and @kbrown2385 Unfortunately yes. I had one last pregnancy and it’s already back for this one. I **hate** it, though admittedly it doesn’t hurt or anything....just causes swelling on one side. Luckily they do tend to go away after you give birth.
@marebear15 Same here! My boobs are feeling much more full, with more sensitive nipples. Also, DD isn’t weaned yet, though her latest antic of intentionally biting my nipple HARD when she is finished is about to wean her ASAP. She is vicious.
@marebear15 ditto on the boobs this month! They got huge early on and i had to buy new bras, and lately they seem to have hit another growth spurt cause the bras are feeling tight now! 😖
@EmilyE13 😳that sounds so painful! I had a weird dream about breastfeeding last night and the baby kept biting my nipples off!
Ladies! I'm 12.5 weeks and I keep throwing up. I want this to end but it feels like it is just getting worse. I didn't start throwing up until 12 weeks. Uggh
So I had to go to the ER last night. It was nothing serious but I was feeling a bit feverish a d dizzy and when I called the nurse she said I was probably behind on fluids. They have an IV nurse in the clinic but because it was after hours I had to go to the ER. 5 hours later and many pokes I got my fluids. Doc said I had fluid on my ear which might be making my nausea worse and explains the dizziness. He gave me some zofran so I don't get so nauseated and sent me on my way. I felt like such a sham being there but everyone was nice to me and I did feel better when I left!
@biolprof I’m sorry you had to go to the ER and that you felt so terrible! I know it’s weird going to the ER for something that doesn’t feel like an emergency, but it’s good that you went for treatment, especially being pregnant. Glad you feel better and hope it stays that way!
@biolprof - It's so hard to keep up with fluids especially in this heat wave! I definitely have woken up dizzy a few mornings. Glad you could get the help you needed!
@biolprof glad you went in and they were able to get you sorted out!
I’m feeling sorry for myself and frustrated because I’m 13 weeks today and my nausea is getting worse again instead of better. I’m definitely having a pity party for myself about it
@MrsJessS i don't know if this will make you feel any better, but I'm also 13 weeks today. I've had some nausea and 0 vomiting, but last night I yakked up my entire dinner. Same with breakfast this morning. I'm hoping its a blip and then on to 2nd trimester!
Thanks ladies for the love. As much as I didn't want to go, the fluids really helped and I feel so much better now.
@MrsJessS and @amb0924 my advice is to get the nausea meds so you can keep your fluids up. It makes a difference and way less expensive than having the ER do it for you! Plus so many bruises from missed IVs...

Anyone else feel swollen down there by the end of the day?

@biolprof yeah I still have Zofran from when my Dr prescribed it at 7 ish weeks. So I gave in a popped one of those and I feel immensely better
