Re: TTCAL week of 7/1

  • @40momma what a beautiful story. I'm so glad your H had that experience. Good luck with the application.

    1. Introduce yourself (if new) not new

    2. Status? Almost positive opk, so still wto

    3. R/R: rant: July is not a great month for us. The edd for my 1st loss was 7/18/17 and my second loss happened 7/13/18 so I'm feeling a little down. Plus this month marks 1 year since my last pregnancy. Yep, I'm having a pitty party lol.
    Rave: **tw lc mentioned**
DS is 4, he has autism and is nonverbal. We use some sign language but just the other day he signed help and said it at the same time! Well, he actually said "hal" but we'll take it!
4.GTKY: What is your dream job? I have said for years that I would love to have my own bakery, but honestly, I just love to create things; baking, cooking, using my Cricut, sewing, all of it. I think a blog type thing where I craft and create and tell the world about it would be amazing.

  • 2. Status? TWW and not feeling hopeful
    3. R/R: I got all my work done last week! Looking forward to a normal bedtime this week lol
4.GTKY: What is your dream job? Hmm anything where I could work part-time or work from home and still make decent money lol

@40momma what a sweet experience for your H to have had! Glad it has opened him up to the possibility of adoption. Good luck with the application process!

@splashmountain  Such a big step for your DS! That is so awesome! I am sorry that July brings some bad memories for you. Hope you’re able to take some extra time to take it easy and just feel all your feelings. Hugs!

    2. Status: surgery went well and now waiting for next cycle.
    3. R/R: Rant: I have had a lot of ups and downs the last few weeks. One minute I am fine, the next I keep thinking about what could have been...Rave: I had great birthday cake over the weekend! 🙃
4.GTKY: What is your dream job? I am a teacher and truly it is my dream job.... I just wish there was not so much pressure on student or teacher performance. 😕
  • 1. Introduce yourself (if new) not new been here since 8/2016 with 3 losses

    2. Status? NTNP DH and I haven’t had the official talk on whether to continue it just seems like we haven’t had the time to talk but I didn’t do OPKs.  I am still temping so I know when to expect AF. Hopefully we can talk about it after vacation

    3. R/R:  we are on vacation! But my DS almost 4 is sleeping with us and hogging the bed so I’m up already.   It’s also our 5 year anniversary on 7/5

4.GTKY: What is your dream job? I’m a federal law enforcement officer which was my dream job but now I can’t wait to retire!  I’m over it lol.  I want to buy a barn and turn it into a wedding venue.  I over being part of the worst part of someone’s life and would now like to be part of the best part of their life.

@40momma I’m glad DH had that experience.  I hope that process goes smoothly for you!

@splashmountain wow that’s awesome for your DS.  My nephew has autism and also non verbal.  He is 10 now.  His school has been working with him and using some program on an iPad for him to communicate.  He now has several words and speaks in phrases.  I’m sorry July is such a bad month.  It was hard for me when I had reached a year without being pregnant.   Totally sucks.  Hugs to you
  • 1. Introduce yourself (if new): New here, first loss last week. Had my first round of methotrexate yesterday, waiting for the worst to begin. I was about 5-6 weeks when they saw the empty gestational sac. It hadn't grown since week 4. They're not sure if it's ectopic or if I'm just miscarrying. It's been an awful week but I came into work today to keep my mind occupied.
    2. Status? I'm ok. Waiting for MXT to kick in and get things moving. They'll monitor my hcg for the next month and hopefully they decrease. In OCt-Nov we'll start trying again.
    3. R/R: After 7 days in bed and trying to smile for my preschooler at home, it feels great to me back at work. Alone drinking a huge coffee and bagel. I've been listening to music all morning and have an incredibly supportive team.
4.GTKY: What is your dream job? I'd love to be a teacher someday. I was going to go to grad school for my MAT this fall but was currently offered a cool job at another university. I'll do that for a couple years and hopefully teach in the next 5 years.
  • 1. Introduce yourself (if new): New, MMC's in 2/19 and 6/19
    2. Status? Benched - I am currently in the neverending miscarriage
    3. R/R: As I said above this MC just won't end. D&C on 6/14, it was incomplete, Misoprostol on 6/21, it failed, ended up in ER on Sunday night out of nowhere was bleeding fast and furious, Now I'm borderline anemic and headed into and D&C tomorrow morning. Really hoping that is it and then this will be over.

I also had a consult with my RE yesterday and found out my most recent loss was a normal embryo. hat was kind of a blow. An abnormal embryo seems much easier to accept. We went through a barrage of possible causes but I don't fit criteria for any of them. So kinda at a loss there. Just like getting diagnosed with unexplained IF back in 2016, now unexplained RPL. (Although technically don't know about first loss as it was never tested.)

But decided to move on to IVF once this MC finally ends.

4.GTKY: What is your dream job? I'd love to be a writer. I love writing and did a lot of short stories as a kid. If money was no object I would totally do it. I've been telling myself I will do it on the side for years but never find the time.

@elmann1 I'm sorry for your loss. I am going through a MC right now too. It is awful. Hugs to you!

@40momma That is such a sweet story, Good luck with the process!

@splashmountain I'm sorry July is such a rough month with all those reminders. I know I am dreading reaching my should be EDD's in Sept and Jan. Hugs to you!

  • @manillabar I'm sorry you're not feeling hopeful this cycle. FX for good news

@Mamaof2beautifulgirls nothing like some good birthday cake to brighten your day! Was it your birthday?

@Mack2342 DH and I had our wedding reception at a place kinda like that, a couple turned their backyard into a beautiful venue, no barn but it had that rustic feel to it.

@elmann1 I'm sorry you find yourself here. Hopefully getting back to work is just the "normalcy" you need to start feeling yourself again. I hope everything goes well with the meds.

@hanshotfirst77 omg you have had the worst time with this loss! I am so sorry the Misoprostol didn't work for you and for your ER trip. I'm sending prayers to you that this d&c does the trick so you can move forward.
  • @splashmountain I'm sorry July is tough for you, I also had a loss in July. Anniversaries are tough

@Mamaof2beautifulgirls I'm sorry you're going through the rollercoaster. Thank goodness for the good days but the tough days are still sucky.

    @Mack2342 enjoy the vacation!

@elmann1 sorry you've joined us here

@hanshotfirst77 oh man, my heart goes out to you. I hope tomorrow goes as well as it can go.  The waiting is simply the worst
  • @40momma that is such a wonderful story! Adoption is such a beautiful thing. I would probably move on with adoption if DH was on board!

@splashmountain yes it was my bday over the weekend! I am so sorry for the anniversary coming up. I know things like that are so hard.

@manillabar I hope this is your month!!! Fingers crossed!!!

    @Mack2342 have a great vacation!

@elmann1 I am so sorry for your loss. I hope your stay here is short.

@hanshotfirst77 I am so sorry! It’s so sad having a miscarriage, but for it to not end quickly! ☹️ I hope the D&C works and you can move forward with your journey.

    1. Not exactly new but I haven’t been active on this board for awhile. I recently lost a baby at 20 weeks. Still waiting on chromosome testing and autopsy report, but at birth it appeared to be a cord accident, in the exact same place where I previously lost a baby at 25 weeks to a cord accident in Nov 15. In between, I had my son in Jan 17, and a miscarriage last December.

    2. Status? Benched, for sure. Trying to figure out where to go from here.

    3. R/R: Rant. I live near St Louis, which has two noteworthy medical schools and research hospitals. l’ve stalked every MFM dr to see if any have published on recurrent second trimester losses or cord accidents and can’t find anything.  It’s so frustrating how underresearched this is.

4.GTKY: What is your dream job?
I work in hospitality/Human Resources and Id love to work for Disneyworld someday.

  • @Kurtni I'm so sorry your your losses and the frustration at not being able to find information to help you.
  • @elmann1 so sorry for your loss. Glad going back to work is helping you feel better. Hope it all passes quickly and that you’re not here for long!

@hanshotfirst77 wow I can’t imagine how you’re feeling at this point. I hope this is the last step and you can finally move forward with healing.

@Kurtni so sorry for your losses, they must have been devastating, and it makes it worse when there seems to be no rhyme or reason and not much research to be found. Hopefully your doctors will be able to find out some information for you.

@manillabar @splashmountain thank you both.  My recent loss was one week ago and I am still just in complete shock that it happened again.

  • 1. Introduce yourself (if new): Early loss in May 2019

    2. Status? WTO (CD 9)

    3. R/R: I’m going to try OPKs this cycle. Hoping I have a shorter cycle this month but now it’s looking like I’m trending towards Oing between CD 20-26 vs my old norm of Cd 13-16. For a while it seemed like I was alternating months between long and short but I just had two longer cycles in a row. Tough to tell because I just came off my loss cycle. We shall see.

4.GTKY: What is your dream job? Be a kept woman ha (only kidding. A little). I have had TWO dream jobs. I got my first dream job right out of grad school. I was a NICU and pediatric ICU occupational therapist. I then eventually transitioned to being a SAHM (second dream job).

@40momma What a sweet way to open up your husband’s heart. I’m glad he had that positive experience. Good luck with the application process!

@splashmountain I’m sorry about the anniversary month. Sending you virtual hugs. I love this update on your son! How wonderful! I’m a peds occupational therapist (well, I was until December) and this makes me miss all my kids at work. Getting to witness their victories and hard work was the very best.

@manillabar  Yes! You did it! Enjoy that regular bedtime, girl!

@Mamaof2beautifulgirls What grade do you teach? I admire teachers so much. Because y’all are raising up the future!

@Mack2342 That would be such an amazing thing to do (the barn venue). I hope you get to do that one day. And happy early anniversary!

@elmann1 I’m sorry you find yourself here. I’m glad work was able to offer some normalcy for you. But don’t feel guilty if you need some time to rest. You’re going through a lot.

@hanshotfirst77 I have nothing to offer but hugs. I’m so sorry this has been such a long and drawn out process .

@Kurtni I can’t even imagine the deep pain and grief you’ve experienced with your losses. I am so sorry you’ve had that happen twice. I’m hoping they can find some answers for you. Hugs to you.
  • @Kurtni I'm so sorry you find yourself here again. I'm shocked that something like that could happen twice. Have the drs given any indication that this could be something you are prone to? It's just such a freak accident for it to happen twice. I can't help but wonder if there's some reasoning behind it.
  • @tyrion_I am a special education teacher and my focus grades now are 3rd-5th. I have work with all types of students! That is why @splashmountain’s story spoke so dearly to my ❤️! Children are amazing and I love watching them make progress!!!

@Kurtni I am so sorry for your losses! My heart breaks for you! I hope that you find support within this new group to help with your losses! These lady’s have been wonderful, just knowing we are not in this journey alone.
  • @Mamaof2beautifulgirls happy late birthday! I hope everyone treated you like a queen

    **tw lc*
@Mamaof2beautifulgirls @tyrion_ thanks for the excitement about ds. He goes to a special needs preschool 4 days a week and has an occupational therapist come to the house 2 days a week, so I know from personal experience how much you guys do for these children and how much you and your professions are appreciated 💙
  • @splashmountain I got married outside a barn and reception was in the barn and that’s when I fell in love with that idea.

Welcome @Kurtni and sorry for your losses.

    Thanks @tyrion_ I would love to be a SAHM..jealous!

    1. Introduce yourself (if new): Sort of new. Ive checked on here a few times after each of my losses. *tw* I have 2 beautiful boys ages 6 and 4.  My husband and I started trying for number 3 last July. I had one MC in November at 5.5 weeks one in March at 8 weeks.  Currently having another at 5 weeks. Haven't even seen my doctor yet for this one.
    2. Status?  Well I am mid miscarriage now. I was supposed to see my OB tomorrow for blood work and confirmation of pregnancy. But I am going to call in the morning and see what they say about next steps/going to see a fertility specialist. I really just want to do some bloodwork and see if there is anything obvious going on.  I don't think I would go through with any fertility treatments, unless it was something like taking progesterone etc.  I am currently at a loss and so sad. Don't know where to go from here. So I guess benched for now.
    3. R/R:  Rant: I am so irritable. Im trying to move forward but feel so miserable and I just want to lay in bed and watch Bravo alone.  Rave: despite the bleeding starting on Friday I was able to pull through and have a really fun weekend at the beach with my family.  In my head I knew this one wouldn't work out either.  It  doesn't make it less painful, but I never truly got attached given its so early.

4.GTKY: What is your dream job? Currently I own my own skincare business and work from home so I can say I have my dream job.  I do want to get my license to be a Certified Parenting Coach some time in the next few years.  I was coached for 6 months when my children were younger and we were having some issues with my then 3 year old and I loved the entire process and would love to help other moms who may be struggling.
  • @jd614 Welcome! I am so sorry for you’re losses. I hope you can find some insight as to what is going on. After my second loss, we went to a specialist. I didn’t think we would find anything but surprising we found out a lot. It helps me knowing we are forming some kind of plan.
  • @jd614 I'm so sorry for your losses. *TW LC* I also have two kids and have had four subsequent losses. It's so hard, especially when you can't figure out what is going wrong. Hugs to you.  <3
  • @jd614 welcome to the group. I'm very sorry for your losses. Hopefully you can get some testing and answers soon.
  • jd614jd614 member
Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. Looking forward to getting to know you all-just wish it wasn't through this venue!
  • @jd614 I'm sorry for your losses.  I have one LC, and have had 2 back to back losses since. It is so tough when you don't know why it's happening.
