Mamas with twins...

Hello ladies!

For those of you who have had twins, what were your beta results early? I'm currently 4w4d and yesterday my first beta was 1100 which seems pretty high to me, but my nurse said it could just be that little baby implanted early. Does anyone remember their numbers? When did you know it was twins? Did you have crazy early symptoms?

    @ktrabing you can look at beta-base website.... but beta numbers are not super indicative of multiples. Some singletons have really high numbers and some multiples do not.... With my twins at 16dpo (IUI) I think my beta was 360...  we knew there was a chance of multiples (I had 4 follies at trigger) but had no clue  it was multiples till the US. On a subsequent IUI I had 4 follies again but only 1 embryo implanted. I know its hard but you'll just have to wait for that first US. I did not have crazy symptoms... honestly my singleton pregnancies were harder than my twin one with way more symptoms. Congrats though on a successful transfer and I hope you have an uneventful pregnancy.

    @wabash15 thats great info thanks! I know that betas aren't super indicative of anything other than a successful pregnancy....I was just curious of other peoples' experiences! I am not necessarily hoping for twins so if its a singleton with a high hcg I'm super happy with that. Obviously we would be thrilled if it was twins too though :)

    I did have high #s with my twins but it was 10 years ago so I don't recall the actual values. We did IVF and transferred 2 embryos on day 3. When the #s came back I figured they had both implanted and even though our RE said it could just be a singleton, she was pretty certain it was twins too. Confirmed on u/s a few weeks later.

    For me, it was progesterone numbers that were much higher (this was before IVF so I was not on progesterone supplements yet). In my previous pg's I had progesterone #'s in the 20's early on. With my twins, it was in the high 50's! My HCG # wasn't much higher than normal. When she told me it was twins on the first U/S, I was NOT surprised because I had seen my bloodwork a few days before!

    I found out at ultrasound at 6 weeks 1 day that I was having twins. My betas weren't higher than normal and I did not have any different symptoms than my 4 prior pregnancies 
    Me: 29  DH: 31, married 6/21/14, TTC since 7/14
    BFP #1 EDD 7/17/15, MMC 1/9/15 @8w
    BFP #2 4/3/15= ectopic treated with methotrexate 5/1, YET ruptured 5/18/15= One Tube Wonder!
    2 Cycles of Femara, Ovidrel, & Progesterone= BFP #3 DS born 5/17/16
    TTC #2 March 2017 (initially med free) 
    BFP #4 8/14/17 *natural cycle* EDD= 4/25/18, MC @5-6w D&C 9/22/17
    BFP #5 12/29/17 w/ Femara/Ovidrel/Progesterone/Synthroid, EDD= 9/11/18 found out 1/18 ITS di/di TWINS!!!
    DS and DD born 8/21/18
