@kbrown2385 that is my favorite part in The Office.

My husband is a twat waffle. I asked him last night to make sure he closed the bathroom door because I had put our cats food dish in there and planned on cleaning it today. We have always just kept their food out but my one cat is getting pretty chunky so we are going to give them 2 meals a day.

Guess what was open when I came downstairs this morning. 🙄

@dumbledoredies ugh, I hate when they don't listen! MH has actually told me before that I need to be very firm when asking him to do something. I'm supposed to look him in the eye and tell him it's important. I can't just tell him in passing because "you know my memory sucks" 😐

My twat waffle is my job. It's mind numbing and I'm just waiting to be far enough along in my pregnancy that I can quit and be a SAHM. I'm sure I'm partly just mentally checked out because I know I'll be leaving soon, but lately, I really hate my job!

@peppyj9 that would get such an eyeroll from me 🙄. How hard is it for them to just be adults and listen? Made me think of this-


I worked for a few months after maternity leave with my son but I knew I was leaving. I wasted so much time doing nothing because I just didnt care anymore so I get the frustration. I also hated my job!

All the other people in line at the bank during my lunch break are twat waffles - how dare there be a queue when I have shit to do & am hungry!! 😂

I might be the twat waffle. MH’s grandpa passed away yesterday and my MIL is pushing MH to take maternity leave and for all three of us to go to her house through the weekend. Now obviously I feel awful. And have every intention of going up there for the funeral and a day or two before and after. But I have zero desire to go spend a week at my MIL’s house. It’s not toddler proofed. They are loud. And they are probably going to be drinking away their sorrows all week. Which is all good and well. But I am miserable and would rather be miserable from the comfort of my own home where I have my snacks and my bed. Plus I don’t feel like it’s fair to DS to mess up his routine. 
Luckily MH is on the same page but I still kinda feel like a TW

@dumbledoredies ugh men can be the worst at this stuff! MH gets mad that I “nag” but also literally never does anything the first time I ask

@MrsJessS im sorry for your loss. You are definitely not a tw though! Can your husband go up to spend time with his mum & then you & da join him later in the week as a compromise?

@leprechaunlady that’s a possibility for sure. It’s only a 2 ish hour drive so not unmanageable. I just know I am going to be mad as a wet hen if he’s up there drinking and swimming in the pool while I’m home solo-parenting. I do enough of that already lol

So I'm a day late, but we didn't do WTF Wednesday.  I'm in the midst of potty training DS, so I'm having a rough week as it is. I was doing the potty training technique where you put your kid on the toilet every 30 minutes (today we moved up to 45). I was really craving a cheeseburger. So I put DS in the car and rush out to Sonic. I order a double cheeseburger (I normally don't get a double but I really needed the extra meat) with no pickles or mayo (food aversions). I get the sack and rush home just in time to get DS on the potty. Turns out they gave me a single cheeseburger with mayo (but no pickles).  I was so mad. What made me made was that they didn't include a receipt so I couldn't go back to show that they had gotten it wrong (not to mention rushing out in between potty schedules is stressful). I texted DH and told him the situation. He was just about to come home for lunch and offered to get me another burger. He went to Sonic, he ordered a  cheeseburger with no mayo or pickles. He double checks with the employee at the window that the burger should have no mayo or pickles. He gets home and hands me the cheeseburger. I unwrap it, a cheeseburger with mayo. I can officially say, I'm done with Sonic for a while.
