Has anyone experienced cold sores during pregnancy? I am having such a hard time dealing with them. Any remedies?

Talk to your doctor. There is an antiviral prescription you can take that is pregnancy safe and will stop you from getting them.

Hi, my experience ...  I just had the worst cold sore outbrake in my life! After coming from a short vacation, I developed 3 cold sores on my lower lip and then a couple of days  later a fourth one on the other lip. It was extremely painful, looked absolutely horrible and I took 2 weeks to heal. My doctor prescribed meds, but I've never taken them before so was reluctant and didn't start. However, I may start it if something like this happens again-- 3 doctors and a pharmacist said the meds are safe during pregnancy.
