@oliviaraetz I'm not sure we can help you out with those ultrasound pictures. Looking at them, I don't see anything you could maybe identify the sex by. But I would definitely take them down, as it appears that your personal information is listed on them and there are some internet weirdos out there.

@oliviaraetz Please read the Introduce Yourself Here thread to learn more about how this board operates. We're a welcoming bunch if the "rules" we have in place are followed. We try to keep our community relatively clean and thriving, and that's difficult to do with one-off posts like this. Additionally, the only way you can know the sex for sure (besides waiting for the birth) is to discuss your options with your doctor.
I would also recommend that you edit your photos to remove personal information, such as your name and doctor name. Stranger danger is very real on these boards and we try to protect one another by offering advice that will help.
I hope you decide to join us, but either way, best of luck to you these next few months of your pregnancy!
PPs beat me to it. So much personal info there..... and even your SN is your name. Stranger danger is real. Take the pics down and keep yourself safe.
And yea, you can't tell sex from any of those and if you wanted to know (though it's a bit early since your about 16wks) you should have asked the US tech to fancy a guess.
Wow y’all are either real bored or just real rude. Lol thanks
What were you expecting? Do you think this is a community of medical technicians just waiting for images we can provide our professional opinions on? To my knowledge, none of us are sonographers or OBs.
I think you got answers completely in line with the audience you were addressing and the info you provided.
p.s. Your personal info is all over those photos. Everyone on the internet can now see you full name, DOB and Dr’s name.

I believe you could remain being “clean and thriving” without being condescending. I obviously know I could ask the US tech. I do not have to explain myself to anyone. I just thought this thread would be a nice place for me to be excited about my pregnancy openly, I know I should’ve covered my name and personal info up, I did post it anyhow. It is no reason to be rude. Which is what some of y’all were. But no worries.
We also literally have a thread for ultrasounds stuck to the top of the board. We are all hormonal pregnant women, and The Bump has always been a snark-filled forum. People were being silly, but no one was outright rude or condescending, at least by my reading. Tone is hard online, though.
You're absolutely welcome to be open here, but we ask that you read the top few posts on the board before jumping in. Just as it would be weird to walk up to a random group of people - pregnant or not - and show them your ultrasound pictures to ask what they think, we find it a bit weird when people do it here as well.
We love getting to know new people, but not in such a brash way. I think @mrsinterweb hit the nail on the head.
