It has been a while! Let's hear it, ladies...

I confessed to DH the other day that I really don't wash my hands prior to prepping and making dinner 😬 I definitely wash my hands after touching raw meat and moving to something else in the meal.

I cook everything through so it should be okay right?

@inthewoods23 haha I do this occasionally too, especially if I know I just washed them not too long ago... BUT... we should probably be better about this

I usually cut up an onion or so and dip it in hummus as a snack. Like it could be vidalia, yellow, red, IDC what kind of onion it is - I'm eating it lol.

I can never think of any but @inthewoods23 reminded me.... I don't wash fruit/vegetables/salad etc before using/eating. Salad always says "pre washed" and with other stuff I figure if there's something bad in it, water isn't going to do anything.

@brookert615 WHAT IN THE ACTUAL WORLD? Raw onions? You've got me lol-ing at my desk today. I sincerely hope you only do this in the privacy of your own home.

@brookert615 I love onions as much as the next person, but I'm not sure I could just eat them raw by themselves?! Do you go home and brush your teeth like 30 times before YH comes home???   

I'm trying SO HARD to encourage DH to go play golf with his dad tomorrow so I can have the house to myself and binge watch Chicago Fire (recent obsession).
He said he doesn't want to go so that he can "help clean up the house and do yard work" but I already know that probably means he's just going to sit on the couch all day while I vacuum around him and I just don't feel like dealing with it this weekend.

This is supposed to be flame free LOL. I usually do it in my own home unless it's green onions because those are socially acceptable I think? Funny story when my BIL lived with us (it was rough patch in his life and he wasn't paying rent) I totally would eat my onions and he would be so upset because the onions were so strong sometimes they would make his eyes burn/water LOL. I started doing it on purpose when he was around trying to hint that this is a TEMPORARY STAY.

@whitealbum29 for some reason I absolutely always wash certain things (like apples and potatoes), but I don't think I have ever washed an onion after peeling the inedible first layers. Why do I do this??

@brookert615 a little weird, but I would definitely happily eat raw onion with you 🙂 I don't like hummus though so you can have that! Maybe I'll have some garlic or french onion dip with my onions

@inthewoods23 I was my produce but I've never washed an onion. 

@b_1029 I will admit to encouraging MH to have guy time just so I can watch something or get something done or if he's just getting on my nerves. 

Most nights MH and I sleep in separate beds and we both sleep better that way.  I know some people say it's not healthy but he likes the firmer mattress in the guest room and I apparently hit and kick in my sleep.  We don't do it every night but I do feel more rested when I have my own bed.

@celticknotfire we don't typically sleep in the same bed either, at least not on weeknights...I'm glad to know we aren't the only ones! I think DH would if given the choice, but I'm such a light sleeper and he moves/heavy breathes/sometimes snores so we're both happier this way. I sleep better and he doesn't have to deal with me being a raging b*tch because I'm so exhausted.

@celticknotfire & @b_1029 I know a lot of people that do that! I know a good bit of nights I end up having to go to the couch because DH snores so loud!

@inthewoods23 - oh yeah the onion has skin on it! No way am I washing that. If you ever need validation for not washing other foods, I'm your girl.

@brookert615 I had never heard of people just eating onions until a year or so ago. My MIL puts out a plate of whole scallions with her big holiday meals. I’m wondering if this is another regional thing. 😂

@b_1029 @celticknotfire I’m a little jealous of separate beds. Dh gets all sulky when I want to sleep somewhere else because he’s a snorer. It’s cute that he wants to share, but not so much when he won’t stop snoring.

I LOVE raw onions!!!! Especially with Everything But The Bagel seasoning sprinkled on top. Yum! Raw bell peppers, too.

Plus one for wanting my own bed. DH rolls so loudly (is rolling loudly a thing? lol) And he always comes to bed way later so get woken up then can’t get back to sleep.

FFFC: I just gave up a playoff hockey ticket for tonight so DH and his dad can go. I 80% Really just want the house to myself for an extended time and 20% am semi sick and it’s CD1.... I don’t feel like screaming at the ice tonight

@begging4abump Hmmm it's quite possible?! Apparently on my dad's side everyone does it, but I'm the only one of my siblings that enjoys the raw onions! LOL

My husband recently discovered that he’s allergic to raw apples, peaches, and cherries...and I think it makes me like them even more.

I’ll continue with the food subject: I buy flavors of ice cream I know DH doesn’t care for so I can offer him some to seem nice and most likely not have to share...

My FFFC is I eat fast food on my way home from work a couple times a week because I know when I get home I won’t have time to make something to eat and tend to the dogs and clean up whatever they’ve decided to destroy. I don’t tell my BF this even if he asks. 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

I have somehow managed to go 2 - 2.5 whole weeks (2 days were PTO) without doing a single thing for work other than sitting in / running meetings and sending meeting minutes. I've been so disgruntled since I didn't get the promotion on my team. I know I need to get over it, but so far no one has said anything, soOoOo...

Today's the day I thought I'd be graduating w/ my PhD until... things.... got in the way this year, and I am more sad for myself than happy for the people in my cohort who ARE graduating today.

From yesterday's UO, my FFFC is we do not use a top sheet in our bed. DH and I also have separate blankets.

I am also guilty of buying snacks that DH doesn't like. The things he does like, I hide before I open them so he won't get to them first and eat them all (Cheez-its, Goldfish, etc.)!

Any cash I find on MH's nightstand, in his laundry, or basically any place other than his wallet, is considered community property and immediately becomes my latte money.

@kagesstarshroom MH also keeps cash in his desk drawer in case he needs a few bucks. It's almost always in $1's and $5's, so I call it his stripper money. 😂 I've been known to dip into that as well.

*He does not actually use the money for strip clubs, just to be clear...
