Oh! So my SIL's BF. Maybe I'll edit this and write a short list. But all that really needs to be said is that there are so many red flags with that relationship I don't understand why she stays with him.

Most recent example: they want to buy a house together but SIL wants it ONLY in HER name even though she makes less than him. The impression I got is that the reasoning is in case things don't work out (or something along those lines). Nah... You two should probably stay in your apartment.

@brookert615 a few other gems include the "she will take my last name without question", they will have ALL boys and they will ALL have his name (not sure how true that really is) and they will ALL play rugby (he did in both HS and college).

When asked "but what if you have a girl" he basically said no, he will have all boys or something stupid like that.

My OB/Gyn office called me again today and of course I could only call them during lunch, which is when they’re closed. I already made an appointment yesterday after 11 calls. What could they possibly want? I’m so stressed out about this.

Late to the TWT party, but I have one.... and at my precious Target, of all places!

There was a long ass line at self checkout, and another long line at the single cashier who was open.
There were three people ahead of me in the self checkout line, a woman, then a man and woman who were together.So two self checkout registers open up, and no one moves. A woman behind me says "those two are open." The three in front aren't paying attention, and don't move. She says it again, no one moves.
I consider just jumping to the register ahead of them, but thought, I should give them another opportunity to move along. So I also say "those two registers are open." The woman in front of me says, "Oh I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention." But the man who was with the woman looks up and says, "Um, we were just talking. I guess you have somewhere to be?" He was sassy AF! Like, yeah dude, we've all been waiting here for several minutes now. But I couldn't respond how I'd like, since I was wearing a jacket with my work logo on it.

I would like to enjoy the TWT spirit on a Wed... Male co-worker as a twatwaffle...
So, Monday afternoon at work 3 of us (all women) were standing around talking. Our unit takes up several offices, and our office is well-known to be the loud office (so people who want absolute silence, sit in the 'quiet office').  We are feds and were discussing the heartbeat bill and some state's new regulations about BC use, and my MCs and the other girl in the office who's had MCs, and all of that.  So basically, a convo about women's healthcare and politics and bills and how it is looking to affect us in the near future (or already affecting us).  And no joke, a guy comes back and literally says "Hey, could this 'locker room talk' maybe wrap up?"  The one girl looks pissed, the nice naive girl is just standing there, and me thinking he's joking and going to join into the convo says "Grab 'em by the p*ssy!"  Then he just looks awkward and mumbles something about the convo going on for a bit, and walks off. And so we disperse. But later we're like, locker room talk is about like sexual conquests and the like, not about female reproductive healthcare... AND why is it 3 women having a convo about reproductive healthcare apparently makes ONE MAN upset for whatever reason, and he comes over and makes some weird irrelevant 'joke' and basically ends our convo... isn't this basically what we were talking about?  Maybe he just wanted us to be quieter?  I dunno... it was all just very weird and awkward.  And in retrospect, frustrating!!!

@b_1029 They always get caught, especially when they are dumb enough to put their lies in writing. The best part is they have to live with the stress of trying to keep up with what they make up.

The number of BS inappropriate workplace conversations among men that I (and I'm sure many of us) have listened that are *actual* locker room talk, and he can't handle women talking about actual real life issues that are affecting them and other women!! The grownups are talking now sweetie, go back to your man cave.

@whitealbum29 Right!?!?  And it was super pertinent. I mean, we were all talking about legislatures that had passed or were being sent to votes and the like. And the 'definition' of abortion. I mean, I specifically was talking about how my chart with my 5 MCs, the medical definition for 4 of them are 'spontaneous abortions' and those were much wanted babies that I'm devastated over. And he just is all like 'locker room talk' and I'm like... uh... this is NOT locker room talk. Loud and maybe inappropriate for a workplace, possibly... but not out of the norm for our office, so WTF do you want?  I'd say he just wanted some quiet, but he legit went back to his desk and then LEFT 10 min later (like didn't come back LEFT)... so I dunno???  Needless to say the women in our office (which is like 7 of us to 2 men) are not thrilled with him right now.

@dpchickens - I hope he left because he had an epiphany about how ignorant he was being and was *mortified*! We have to worry about laws like this and we're also not allowed to talk about it when men are around?! (Sure it's a workplace but like you said, you weren't just randomly chattering!)

I would just like to complain about the number of women I've seen post on the infertility board "baby dust to all!". I think they have the same pinned posts... Don't they know it's an insensitive term?

@dpchickens wow!  Just when I think some men can't be more inappropriate it gets worse.  It makes me angry when they think they can talk about their sexual conquests but we can't talk about medical issues.  I can't believe with everything you see in the news some people still think it's ok to make "jokes" like that.

@inthewoods23 I saw a post recently and thought about saying something about how we don't use that term here but most of the time I'm non confrontational.
