  • Thank you @feelingsoflove. It hasnt fully sunk in yet, it exciting but at the same time absolutely scared shitless!
  • @leprechaunlady holy moly what a surprise! Were you extra nauseated or notice anything that would tell you in hindsight?
  • @biolprof not really, ive been quite sick but I was sicker with my first pregnancy with dd. Its different this time in that im constantly queasy but only throwing up a little but last time I threw up constantly & was fine after for a bit. I feel more tired this time too but put that down to having a 2yo. Im 36 so higher probability of multiples but didnt really enter my head til I saw it on the screen today!
  • @leprechaunlady how exciting!! 😁 congratulations ❤
  • @leprechaunlady - Wow, how exciting and definitely a bit of a shock I bet! So happy to hear that they're both measuring where they should be and are healthy. Enjoy your trip!
  • @leprechaunlady - How exciting and how terrifying at the same time! You will need the strength of a village behind you for the next 1.5 years (maybe longer), but I know you can do it!
  • @marebear15 thank you! Its so daunting but slowly coming round to the idea.
i have amazingly supportive parents who are way ahead of us processing the news & offering all sorts of practical help & support which is amazing but also a little overwhelming!

I had a nromal ultrasound and got a print out of pic of baby. Tech didnt say nething else. Then today I got written results saying  something within gestational sac near placenta and gave three possibilities? Anyone ever get anything liek this before? It says possibly a second gestational sac. I was 8 weeks 3 days during ultrasound
  • @surprisebaby23 - can you call your doctor and ask for clarification?  That seems like an odd thing to send without talking to you.  It sounds like the tech saw something small and just couldn't tell exactly what it was.  I would just call and ask for clarification.

  • @surprisebaby23 - A tech isn't supposed to tell you anything that he's found. Only the doctor is supposed to explain things. Do you have a follow up appointment? It's likely that whatever the spot was, it was too small to figure out what it was. If it's a subamniotic hematoma, you might spot a little or it might resolve and absorb the blood on it's own. If it's a cyst, likely one that small would also resolve itself in the next few days or weeks. If it was a secondary gestational sac, since it's so small, that baby has probably already passed and your body is absorbing the remains. At any rate, it's hard to know what it was, and they will likely just check for it again on your next ultrasound.
