How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with this week? What is going well for you this week? R/R?  Not too much going on over here.  Just SSing at the end of my TWW, and annoyed at people on FB about GOT spoilers because my HBO decided not to work last night (I should have known better than to even log on today).

Any testing coming up/any recent results?  BFN on Saturday, but my boobs are killing me right now.  I'm on CD 29, so I might POAS again tomorrow morning.  But our timing was terrible, so I'm definitely not expecting a BFP.

GTKY: What are some of your favorite shows to binge-watch?  Game of Thrones, Shameless, Forensic Files (I'm a weirdo, I know), The Walking Dead, Orange is the New Black... there's a bunch more, but those are the big ones.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with this week? What is going well for you this week? R/R?   ~~Although our timing wasn't great, I am feeling hopeful for this cycle. I will be disappointed if it doesn't work out, but not too worried. I think once we perfect that timing aspect, things will be better. We had a long & busy weekend. Finally had some decent weather (not warm, just dry) during the day on Saturday. So, we picked up some necessities for spring/summer landscape. I am really hoping to get some stuff done this coming weekend.

Any testing coming up/any recent results?  ~~ I will wait till at least 10-12 dpo to test; I usually have pretty good intuition based on breast tenderness & my BBT. Although, now that I am on the progesterone, some of the side effects mimic pregnancy symptoms.

GTKY: What are some of your favorite shows to binge-watch?  ~~ I just watched the new Netflix show "Dead to Me" with Christina Applegate. It was fantastic. I have already been through so many, I am waiting to see what new one come out. The list is endless. Lol....

  • @shamrocandroll We are definitely cycle twins! Like, to the nth. Weird. Maybe we are soul sisters. ::eerie music plays:: Have you ever watched Bones? I watched all of it a few years ago and really loved it.

@omg1108 DH & I are probably going to watch Dead to Me when we're done w/ Schitt's Creek! GL when you test. I am glad you have some hope even though timing wasn't ideal--but only bc you will be okay if it doesn't pan out. I had good timing & feel that way about this cycle too.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with this week? What is going well for you this week? R/R? I am also SS at the end of the TWW--but to add to that (I've been waiting for this week's TTCAL to post about this!) my BFF, after asking how my testing went, told me I should "keep her in the loop" about this cycle bc she was "curious" how it would turn out. This is basically an implication that the tests were wrong bc she lately has fancied herself psychic. I was like (to myself) "how do I politely tell you not to give a BSC woman that kind of hope?" Anyway, I'm at the point where I am easily irritated, crampy, & just want to get on w/ a new cycle but goddammit it's been so hard to not test again in case my friend actually is a psychic. -_- I think I'm most annoyed at this point because if I test again and get a faint line, I'm gonna be super scared it's a cp, so I've been going down the google rabbit hole. I just hate how she (unintentionally, I'm sure) has made me even more nuts somehow. My OTHER BFF, a very rational dude, was like "K., do NOT let her make you irrational! Be rational!" And I'm like I know, I know. In better news, I'm finally done calculating grades, I just need to check one more time before I post that they're right. I have two hours til they are due, so I'll definitely get them in on time.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? See above lol. Two BFNs last week.

GTKY: What are some of your favorite shows to binge-watch? I recently finished The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and that was super great. I finished ALL of Star Trek: The Next Generation, (and I will fight anyone who doesn't agree that their series finale is the BEST series finale ever). I just started the next Star Trek series, Deep Space Nine, yesterday. DH & I are watching Schitt's Creek as per this board's suggestion--we just got to the last season though bc we are bingeing it like crazy, so we're almost done! 😭We love it.

  • @kagesstarshroom UGH to our cycles!  But I would love to have you as my soul sister, haha.  To add to my own BSC, I just had to leave a meeting to go throw up.  It was super embarrassing, and I've never thrown up at work before.  I then went home because I feel like crap.  I'm pretty sure it was the extra drink I decided to have late last night after my plans to watch GOT went out the window and I was mad... but still.........

  • @shamrocandroll It was me, I was on the edge of my seat. =( sry, girl! I am gonna buy the biggest box of cheapies as soon as AF comes this cycle lol so that I can POAS whenever I want. I have 10 left, but I am the kind of person who needs like 50 not to feel like I'm "wasting" one. I'm so sorry your threw up at work, too, that sucks so bad. I hope you're feeling better in that way at least.

My update is: my grades are submitted & now I'm looking up local bookstore/record store jobs bc if I must have a retail job, it has to be a "cool" one.

Status: LH surging! About to O soon (wahoo!) :)

How are things going? I'm relieved to see that my cycle remained pretty much the same post CP. I got my peak reading this morning on my OPK so the plan is to HIO tonight and tomorrow night. My temps are still on the higher side, but they have seemed to stablize and I'll definitely be able to see a thermal shift on FF once I O. So I guess I shouldn't harp on the pre O vs. post O temps like I have been!

Any testing coming up/any recent results? Nope

GTKY: What are some of your favorite shows to binge-watch? Schitt's Creek, Killing Eve, @omg1108 Dead to Me is next on our list! I'm glad to hear it's a good one. I adore Christina Applegate!

Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc.: 1 early miscarriage in December at 5 weeks

Status: WTO. FF is giving me crap about my rocky temps, telling me it's due to delayed O or that I won't O this cycle. So that's making me feel really good right now. 😡

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with this week? What is going well for you this week? R/R?

I made it through the holiday yesterday tear-free! My mom gave me some beautiful dark pink roses, which I appreciated so much.

Any testing coming up/any recent results?

RE appointment on the 23. The only thing I have been told to expect is bloodwork. I assume they're going to check hormone levels?

GTKY: What are some of your favorite shows to binge-watch? Right now I am binging on "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" (don't judge me!). I also love to binge on "Call the Midwife" and "Downton Abbey". I seem to have a thing for historical dramas. I have been known to binge on "Grey's Anatomy" and "Scandal" too.

Just a heads up ladies, I think Dead to Me should come with a TW for RPL. I haven't finished it yet, but there have been at least 2 episodes that have been hard on me.

Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc.: CP 2/17,  MMC (BO) w/ D&C 5/19

    Status: benched

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with this week? What is going well for you this week? R/R?

Work has been crazy busy, which is good to take my mind of everything. Recovery after the D&C has been mostly okay. I called the hospital on-call OB the night of the D&C for extremely heavy bleeding. I probably should've just gone in, but she had me take 800 mg of ibuprofen. I had NO IDEA that ibu can help slow down bleeding! It worked enough to at least not have to go in. But then a couple days after I almost went in because of the clotting and heaviness again! I have never experienced anything like this.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? Post OP appointment next week. Hoping I am cleared to try again next cycle.

GTKY: What are some of your favorite shows to binge-watch? Greys anatomy, just finished Schitts Creek, currently watching ER with DH although I dont know if it counts as binging with how long it is taking us to get through it...

  • @millpe Thanks also for the heads up re: Dead to Me! I'm super glad a show is covering a topic like that, though. Sorry your post-d&c has been bad =/ I think that the "usual" advice is to wait a cycle, sometimes it's like a hard "benched" & other times it's a "just get thru one so yr cycle is 'normal' again"-- either way & anything in-between, you and your doc & H will figure out what's best for you! I hope you don't have any more difficulties like the ones you've described. <3
  • @emeraldduchess Expect lots and lots of blood work. When I visited my RE in 2015, they took about 9 vials of blood. Hormones, genetic testing, TSH, etc!

  • @puppylove8910 thanks for the heads up. I don't handle bloodwork well at all (I have had panic attacks and/or fainted in the past). I honestly have no idea why I react that way and I always try to stop it from happening. The blood draw at my post-loss appointment I handled like a champ though, so maybe I will be fine. As long as I can lie down...
  • @millpe I am so sorry that your recovery has been rough. It's hard enough emotionally without the physical pain added to it. :(
@kagesstarshroom congrats on getting those grades done and submitted!  I hope you can get a bookstore job, that sounds like you'd be in heaven there!
@omg1108 FX for you this cycle! Always good to have hope.
@shamrocandroll good catch on my writing the wrong date. It still FEELS like March here so that's probably why I put 3 and not 5!  Sorry about the BFN. :( Hope the stomach bug is better today. 💚

Status: WTO still 😩 nothing besides CM is telling me I’m going to O soon. First cycle AL is going to make me crazy.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with this week? What is going well for you this week? R/R?

Finished my spring semester for my masters degree last night(hence staying off of here, had to write a paper)! So excited to get a week and a half break before it starts back up again!

Had a classroom parent threaten to bring in her lawyer to talk to me about her son being bullied at school. I called her, calmed her down, and got an apology from her. Back story: her son thinks someone looking at him the wrong way is bullying. Any time he is truly being bullied, which has happened, it has been handled with appropriate discipline. He didn’t tell her that part. Hello, apology!

I’m really just ready to get through this cycle so we can get back to TTC. The transition back to condoms has been less than exciting, I’m ready to have the excitement of TTC again, even if it makes me crazy!

Any testing coming up/any recent results? Nope.

GTKY: What are some of your favorite shows to binge-watch?

So many! Friends, Gilmore girls, orange is the new black, marvelous Mrs. Maisel, the handmaids tale... needing something new though to throw in the mix.

@shamrocandroll I love shameless! My sister got me hooked on that one! Super addicting!

@omg1108 I’m glad you’re hopeful for this cycle! I’ll keep my FX for you. I’ll have to check out dead to me... it seems a few of you have suggested it!

@kagesstarshroom ugh I hate the hope between SS and your friend then the BFN! Keep that head up high!

@puppylove8910 my FX for you and your timing!

@emeraldduchess girl the WTO with FF is annoying! I know we have seen each other’s charts... ugh. Are you still singing? Lol

@millpe I wish my OB would have told me about ibuprofen. That’s good to know. My MC bleeding was horrendous, especially at work. I had to call for people to watch my class so I could take care of things. Sorry you’re going through it. 😩

  • @ejoseph16 You should join the Schitt's Creek bandwagon. Everyone here loving that show got DH & I into it. Also, if you've never watched GLOW, it's amazing--We loved Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and GLOW bc they were both so damn funny. AFM, I'm on CD1 now, so now I can be TRULY hopeful again--for this new cycle to be a win!
  • @kagesstarshroom I’ll have to check out schitt’s creek! Thanks! FX for this next cycle!

Our thread has been so quiet the last couple days :( Just want to throw a happy Friday to all out there. It has been a rough week, so looking forward to a relaxing weekend.
  • Thanksss @omg1108! Same to you! I've noticed too our thread usually peters out after Tuesday except when people fill out the prompts later than that. There have definitely been weeks though where this thread is hopping. It's been a rough week for me emotionally bc of the news mostly, I'm sorry it's been a rough one for you. I suppose I can update one of my points: I told my one BFF to call me bc I saw from her mom's post on FB that she had gotten this position at work she'd been aiming for--and also so I could tell her how my last cycle was a bust, as she asked to be updated. =/ I'm dying to know if she actually, like, psychically thought something was gonna happen for me that cycle or what and hoping she'd let me know when she calls! But not call yet.
  • omg1108omg1108 member
@kagesstarshroom How is your job search going? I am so excited for school to be out. It has been a rough year physically, emotionally, & mentally. I am planning on doing extended school year with the little people in reading & writing. And I also am in the process for the VIP kid ESL online classes. Not too shabby of a gig to do from home & you get to pick your own hours. I know you teach adults, but you should still check it out. They offer about $20 an hour based on your credentials and experience. I hope you get to talk to your friend soon. It is so crazy how this journey has consumed us. I am starting to get a little bitter...Keep us updated on her psychic thoughts! Good vibes for this new cycle!
  • I'm sorry you're both hurting this week ☹️ @omg1108 @kagesstarshroom I hope you can do something for yourselves this weekend.

As for me, no real updates. I'm just hanging out at 3 DPO trying not to SS every little twinge!

@puppylove8910 Thank you. This progesterone is just really messing with me. My tummy is so bloated. I feel like a house! I have been doing my best to get to the gym 3 days a week consistently and cut back a bit on the carbs. The veggies are burning me up inside though. And it is always disheartening when you feel worse after doing good things for yourself. I hope you have a nice chill weekend as well!
  • @omg1108 I've also been trying to go lo-carb & finding it's changed... certain things about the way my body processes things, if you will! I applied at a local bookstore and sent out a pitch to a website for an article I want to write. I also organized my office around my dissertation--like, all those books are in sight and within reach of where I sit at my desk--because that needs to get finished this summer! I will check out VIP Kid, thank you! <3

@puppylove8910 I was SS like crazy during my past TWW. The only thing that helped was... like, going to work and teaching! I am not looking forward to this month's TWW since I'm currently unemployed now that the semester is over. I am gonna need a PLAN.
