@aecm DH just turned 30, and he and his twin are still asked if their identical. I think they look nothing alike (including BIL being several inches taller, and quite heavier.)
@thirdtimesacharm2019 it amazes me how in 2019 people can still behave that way and really have no understanding of the world! DHs father is from the Middle East (a topic in and of itself controversial with way too many people for my liking). However, his mother is German and he got all of her coloring so you would never know by looking at him. But obviously our last name (and his first name too) are representative of his background and the amount of stares, questions, and condescending comments we get are amazing. He literally explains his name daily because people just can’t understand why some blond hair, green eyed guy has his name.
