Hi. Just had my first test today at 14dpo and my hcg came back at 13.4. My doctor was concerned about it being so low. I'm testing again in 3 days. Should I be worried about a possible chemical pregnancy with such low hcg right now?

@mad16 are you sure of when you ovulated? A low hcg could be a sign of that but it could also be that you ovulated or implanted late. What really matters is that you double . Fx you get good results

@mommystuebs thanks. I had a positive opk on the 21st and usually ovulate the next day but I guess it could have been the day after. Going back in a couple of days to test again. I'm just worried because my faint lines aren't getting any darker right now and the one I took today almost looked lighter. I know I should just wait and see but it's so hard to not do anything!

I just had my first beta draw at 4wks and 6 days yesterday. It was 1554. I dont have mother scheduled until 6 weeks.

After confirming the pregnancy with my regular DR last Monday, which would have put me at 4w5d, he ordered blood work to test my HCG levels. They were just above 6,000.

Based on my research, I felt like this number was high, but I really won’t know more until my first US on May 21st. Kind of nervous, but hoping for the best.

I had second beta on 5/9 and am anxiously awaiting results.

Just got my second beta drawn, still waiting to hear back about the first and my progesterone levels. I might call my doctor in a bit to see if they have the results yet.

My progesterone at 15 DPO was 16, which the nurse was happy with. So weird not to be getting shots in my butt every night this time around.

My first beta taken at 13dpo came back at 84. I go back tomorrow for a repeat at 16dpo.
Hoping so hard for good news.

Just got my results back. My HCG was at 40 at 11dpo, and progesterone was at 10.9. Seems like that's pretty low for progesterone?

@marebear15 Given that the number was from 11 DPO I wouldn’t necessarily call it “low.” What did the nurse say? My nurse told me that in early, early pregnancy (which we both are), they look for anything 10 or above. But, supplements are pretty easy so if they recommend you go on them, it shouldn’t be too much trouble.

@EmilyE13 - The nurse hasn't called yet, I just saw the number on my lab's portal. It does relieve my mind a little to know that maybe it's low because I'm so early. Maybe they'll do more testing.

@kbrown2385 No, just those first two. My doctor also said that my progesterone was fine for how early I am. I have another appointment end of next week where they will do a scan. I'll be almost 6 weeks, so they should be able to see something by then!

@marebear15 Yay, great numbers! I’m glad the doc was reassuring about the progesterone, too.

@marebear15 did you do a medicated cycle or just natural? (Sorry, I cant remember). My RE says anything over 10 is good for natural cycles but they like to see it about 20 for medicated. Hopefully time flies to your scan!

@mokay19 - It was a natural cycle. That actually makes sense as to why doctors and Google has so much variation for those numbers.

It looks like everyone's betas have looked great so far. I had one drawn at 14dpo which came back at 86. Had another draw at 16dpo which came back at 236!

First beta at 11dpo was 52.6. I’ll have a repeat drawn tomorrow.

Just had my first beta 110. With a history of loss and IF, I'm thrilled. I'm not sure exactly how far along I am, as I wasn't expecting it to happen so easily. I know many of you from the IF thread of TTGP. I stalked after I graduated.

I dont know how far along I am, but I thought it was 5 weeks and 3 days. I got my HCG levels from yesterday and was 196. They seemed concerned about my levels, and I get retested again tomorrow. Hoping they double 🤞🤞🤞

@jordanwestfall if you're not sure when you ovulated, 196 could be a great number. If hcg doubles every 48 hours (average, it's 36-72 hours from what I've read), then you'd expect to see close to that at the end of week 4/start of week 5. You might just be off by a few days.

@jordanwestfall - When did you first turn a test? If it was an FRER they have pretty low thresholds (around 10 in some cases). You could use this date as your starting date, and 10 as your first number, and see where you should be at this point.

35 hour doubling time. Not out of the woods yet and asked for a repeat to make sure it keeps rising.

I received my second HcG test today. I dropped from 196 to 70 and looks like I will be losing the pregnancy 😥 I'm not sure how to feel since this was my first time being pregnant and it was just an embryo but I was so excited

@jordanwestfall I am so sorry. It’s terrible no matter how early you were and your feelings are valid. Sending you lots of hugs ❤️. When you’re ready the ttcal board is wonderful and the ladies there are so supportive.
