I’m Sam from Alabama. I’m 30 years old and have been married for four years. We have a two year old little boy and an adopted dog who is our first baby. I’m a working mom (lawyer) and will go back to work after this bean is born. We’ve been somewhat loosely trying since January when I got off birth control and are very excited! I love riding my Peloton, watching crap TV (just started Jane the Virgin, it’s darling) and traveling.
Best wishes to you ladies throughout the upcoming weeks!
@Knottie6958755 - Congratulations! It's really hard to get to know you or to be able to tag you in anything because you have a screen name that start with "knottie" followed by a long string of random numbers and letter. Please head over to The Knot and change your screen name to something we can get to know you with! And that way we'll be able to mention/tag you in posts. Also, you have to log out and then back into your account for your name change to take effect here.
Hi Everyone! I am due January 8th with my first baby! My husband and are college sweethearts and have been together for almost ten years. I am feeling a little nervous for what the next 8 months will bring and am excited to have you all! I have only been at my current position for 6 months but will be here for over a year once the baby arrives. I’m feeling a little nervous to tell them even though it is months away! Looking forward to any tips you may have!
Hi everyone! My name is Caroline and I’m 34 years old. My husband and I live in Nashville and we have been married for 9 years. We have a 3 year old daughter who is just adorable. We were not exactly being intentional in trying to get pregnant so I’m still trying to process it and trying not to panic about childcare expenses for two kiddos 😳.
We also have two dogs and a black cat. I rescued my cat while I was pregnant with my daughter. So I had to promise I wouldn’t adopt another animal this time.
My name is Rose and I'll be 28 in June. My due date is January 7th. My husband is in the military and he'll be getting out the month after I'm due, so moving is going to be...fun? We've got an English Mastiff and two cats (all sweeties!) We really enjoying hiking! I also love reading, video games, and long walks in the rain.
Hey my name is Kelsey. Ive been married for 5.5 years. Im 24 and this is our 1st, we are so excited! Im due 1st week of Jan. From the research ive done, i believe i had a loss in Dec. I never took a test to comfirm i was prego but my week late period was not my normal for sure.
Hey hey hey!! I’m 29 & just found out we are expecting #2 after a year of trying. We currently have a 3.5 year old son. I’m a high school math teacher & I love crafting, party planning, & puzzles!! My EDD is January 20th— first appointment is June 25th so super ready for that!
Lurking*** @jesusfreak7 Please do not borrow an issue you don't eve know you had. Your period is regular until it is not. It is highly offensive to loss moms to assume you had a loss when you never tested and more likely ovulated later than usual. Being a loss mom is a club NO ONE wants to be a part of, so please don't go around claiming a loss just because your period was later than you expected.

Hi! I am 36 and have been married for 10 years. We have a cat and we are hoping to welcome a baby to our family soon! I have had a MC last year and we are both so worried about this little one and it makes it difficult for us to enjoy it! My due date is Jan 15th and my first Dr visit is scheduled for June 11. I have not told anyone other than my husband yet and you are the first to know:)
Hello! My name is Celeste and I’m expecting baby #2 on January 19th, 2020. My husband and I have been together for 10 years and have an 8 year old daughter with high functioning autism. We had her in high school so we didn’t want to have another baby until we knew we were ready. Now were out on our own, have good jobs and can’t wait to welcome this new bundle of joy! My current hobbies include planning and fitness! Before I found out I was pregnant I was doing beach body and had lost 20 pounds. I’m still doing it but increasing my food intake and doing the pre natal workouts. Ahhh so excited!
My name is Crystal and I'm from Hawaii. I'm 28 and this will be my first. I am also hestitant to join the group. I was pregnant in Feb '19 and had a miscarrage at 7 weeks. Two weeks later I got pregant again, which is something I still can't get over. I didn't even get my period back. A little overwhelmed since it feels like I never stopped being pregnant, just that it got prolonged. Praying this is my rainbow baby and all will be healthy. Since, I never got my period, Im really not sure how far along I am. First doctor's appointment is 1 day away and I am just praying we can hear a heart beat! If my calculations are right, I believe I am about 7 weeks which makes me nervous since its the same time I lost my first. Whew.. happy to at least tell someone this as we are being very cautious before we tell any family or friends.
@cshellm welcome and congrats! That same exact thing happened to my friend just recently! She was just as shocked as you, because what? Didn't even know that was possible! Period never came back, but pregnant again a few weeks later. Crazy. Anyway, she's now in her 2nd tri and baby is doing great. They just found out they're having a boy! I hope you have the same success story she is currently having and that this is your rainbow 🌈 Also, I am sorry for your previous loss ❤
Hello everyone. My name is Chelsea and I am a massage therapist from Maryland. I tested positive, which was a bit of a surprise, last week. We have a DD that will be 4 soon and this tiny human is due, if I got my dates right, on January 15th. I have a doctors appointment on Wednesday and I hope to have the ultrasound on Thursday to confirm a heartbeat. I am currently cautiously optimistic.
My name's Jordan. I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow - first doctor appointment is on Wednesday. We had a miscarriage in October at 6 weeks, so I'm very nervous. Ready to have the appointment and hopefully see our little nugget!
Hello! My name is Jillian and I’m 30 years old. My DH & I have been married for 10.5 years and we have a 5 year old son who was born in April 2014. I’m jumping over to the January board after my due date was pushed from 12/25 to 1/3 after our ultrasound this week. I’ve already seen by doctor once to talk about my medications and have a nurse visit next week to set up all future appointments, etc.
Hi all! I'm Valerie from Michigan, pregnant with baby #2. I'm 33 years old and I'll be married to my husband, Steve, for 5 years on June 7th, together for 9.5 years total. Our first born, Harper, was born May 22, 2016 and I was part of the May '16 BMB. I have my 1st appointment May 30th where I'm hoping to have a dating ultrasound to get an EDD since my cycles are irregular.
ETA: This pregnancy was a little bit of a surprise. We weren't exactly trying, nor exactly trying to prevent, it was more of a "I'm pretty sure I'm not ovulating right now so we're good" situation. I'm a big planner and we had planned on beginning TTC in late June after we returned from a week vacation in Mexico. I just returned from 10 days in Alaska where my sister gave birth to her 2nd son and was supposed to have my period while I was there, so when it never showed up I took a test at 3:30am as soon as I got home from the airport and got my BFP and told my husband that morning when we woke up by having our daughter hand him the pregnancy test. Regardless of this baby being a little sooner than we planned, we're excited now that we've had a few days to get over the initial surprise.
Hi, I'm 30 years old. Pregnant with (our last) baby#6 plus 4 angel babies. I married my high school sweetheart a little over 9 years ago, which is also the time I joined The Bump because I was pregnant shortly after. He works hard and long hours so I am able to be a SAHM. EDD is Jan 19. This baby was a little bit of a surprise as we weren't trying and my husband had already been scheduled for a vasectomy before we found out. Last pregnancy was super hard on my body, but I'm hoping with having a little bit older kids now that this time will be better. I'm trying to not get my hopes up just yet in case this doesn't end how we want it to, but am more excited everyday and can't wait to tell my kids. We are a kid-loving, animal-loving family. We live on a mini farm with 2 German shepherds, 2 ducks, 12 chickens, 2 pygmy goats, a Holland lop rabbit, a Guinea pig and 2 sulcata tortoises.
I’m Jessi and a first time mom. My husband and I have been trying for the past year to get pregnant and are very excited! I’ll be 7 weeks tomorrow but my first appointment isn’t until 5/30, ugh!
Hey y’all. I’m 41 and a mama to my just over 2yo daughter. *TW miscarriage this is my 3rd pregnancy after my daughter and hoping this one doesn’t end in another miscarriage. We attempted IVF when trying for our first and moved on to donor eggs and got pregnant and stayed pregnant for our first donor transfer. This was my fourth donor transfer since trying for another. Currently in the Czech Republic (where we did IVF and donor transfers) solo with my daughter and we can’t wait to head home to Colorado and my husband this Sunday after being here for a month.
eta - I was an active member of Jan17 and still talk to a group of those mama’s daily so I’m looking forward to offering support and making lasting friends.

Hello! I'm a 34 year old art teacher mom of 4 year old boy! Expecting number #2 at the end of January! My husband and I are thrilled as it took us quite a bit of time conceiving the second time around. Wishing everyone a healthy 9 months!
Hello Everyone! I'm 29 and this will be our 3rd! We have been married for almost 8 years and have a 7 year old and 13 month old boys. This pregnancy was a complete surprise. I was still nursing DS2 and while I figured I was going to start ovulating soon since he was getting older, we thought we were being careful! It was even more shocking since it took us 15 months and **TW** we had 2 miscarriages while trying for DS2 **end TW**. We had our first ultrasound last week to determine dd and found out I was almost 7 weeks! EDD is 1/4, I have c-sections so it is pretty likely that I will go at the end of December. I'm still close to my board from DS1 and DS2's board was kind of a flop so I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better!
Hi y'all! My name is Erin. I am 31 and living in TX. I found out I was pregnant on Mother's Day, and that puts my EDD around 1-22-20.
I am a pediatric nurse practitioner and I work in a pediatrician's office. I have worked with kids as a nurse/NP for 10 years now (and I have seen many happy and sad things). It is my first pregnancy and though I deal with babies and kids all the time, it feels surreal to be in the opposite role.
I have a husband and 2 energetic pups. I love yoga, going out to eat, wine, travel, friends.
Hi everyone! I'm 30 and my husband and I have been married for 5 years. This will be our second, our DD is a few months shy of 2. I'm guessing my due date is somewhere near 1/15, first dr appt is 5/31. I feel like it's a million times harder keeping it a secret this time around!
Hi Everyone! I'm Ashli from MA. I'm 31 and my Husband is 30. I'm due with baby #1 on 1/30. My first appointment is 6/27 which seems like forever away!!
I’m Kelly, 24 years old. I’ll be 7 weeks tomorrow. I’m happy but at the same time I’m scared because it’s just me doing this alone. My boyfriend left me and I don’t have any family or friend support. Hoping being on here might help make things not so scary.
I just turned 30 and *TW* on my 3rd pregnancy in 6 months so I'm really hoping this one sticks but I have some understandable anxiety about it at the moment. I'm a cell biologist and live in a university town. You can imagine my hiding out in the grocery store trying not to have students recognize me when buying tests!
I've been a lurker on these boards for a while but finally decided I should participate in the community as I don't want to share the news with my friends and family yet. Looking forward to getting to know you all.
Hello, my name is Victor. My wife and I have an EDD of January 26, 2020. We had two unsuccessful FET earlier this year and our last attempt came back with positive results on both hcG blood tests. Cautiously optimistic but very excited.
We have a 10 year old daughter from a previous relationship of mine. We also have five rescue dogs. We both worked at an animal shelter, that’s where we met. From a Chihuahua to a Great Dane.
I've been lying low for quite some while and had previously been on the PGAL thread in the Dec19 BMB but after my dating US on Friday and getting the results back yesterday we found out I'm due January 1st 2020! I know it could go either way at this point but I'm happy to have seen a heartbeat finally and am hoping this is our rainbow baby and that our DD will get a sibling
