I can’t stop getting sick. I’m on Diclegis but I’m vomiting or insanely nauseous almost every single day, still. My morning sickness has gotten progressively worse each pregnancy, but I cannot wait until I start to feel at least somewhat better.
Yesterday was the worst I've felt in a while and the first time this whole pregnancy that I actually got sick. Started off with a killer headache yesterday and then once the Tylenol kicked in and I could eat I was queasy all day long until dinner when I took two bites and had to run off. MH and DS are very sensitive to puking and I started crying thinking about how I ruined dinner for them. They took good care of me though and feeling much better today. Don't know what could have caused such a miserable day 🤔
Overall I'm better. Still have nausea but about half as much as a few weeks ago. And still having random vomiting. My fatigue seems to have let up a tiny bit. Heartburn has kicked in, and if its similar to last pregnancy I'll be living on tums until the moment this child makes an appearance.
I’m having more moments that I feel better but still overall feeling icky and nauseas. I’m very thankful for no headaches!
Also I have a bloodwork results question..Is anyone else on thyroid meds? I just got my blood results from Friday and my tsh is now super low at 0.02. Of course it’s after 5:00 so I can’t talk to my endo today. I started on levothyroxine in September after my tsh was up around 5.5 and I was going through IVF, they wanted it below 2. Any insight on if this can be harmful to baby? I’m concerned of course and kicking myself for not asking to have it tested before 10 weeks.
I have been pretty bad off today. My back was hurting pretty bad. I took a warm bath with Epsom salt and that helped a ton. Then I got lightheaded again and felt like I was going to pass out. Now, my stomach is upset really bad. What the heck is happening to my body today?!
Starting to have some painful cramps but they don't last long... assuming it's my uterus expanding. Still have trouble brushing my teeth and not much of a healthy appetite--- bring on the carbs! Oh... and so so so very tired still
@Kriztyn I'm having the cramping too. It seems to be worst for me in the mornings. All day long, I only want junk food and fruit. Around 7 every day, I hit a wall and can barely keep my eyes open.
@Kriztyn@Rawa1416 I'm with you on the cramping. It's kind of freaky. And lol about the either junk food or fruit. That's me. I'll like have an orange and then really want french fries for dinner.
I'm glad everyone is experience cramping bc it makes me feel better since I was feeling it yesterday. I'm assuming it's normal due to the uterus stretching. I'm not gonna lie, I was freaking out yesterday. To the point I was on my couch drinking water and trying to stay horizontal.
@emeraldcity1214 I woke up feeling crazy lightheaded today, like almost more drunk/hungover/room spinning than lightheaded. This is a new pregnancy symptom in general for me and today has been ROUGH because of it. Sorry you were dealing with that yesterday.
In general, I feel pretty decent (as long as I eat every 2-3 hours). Overall exhaustion, headaches and going back and forth all week between constipation and diarrhea. It’s a good thing I feel decent, we have too much going on both at home at work for me to feel miserable 😆
I’ve had a bit of cramping too, but feels more like Braxton Hicks felt at the end of my last pregnancy vs menstrual cramps. I know it’s not BH yet but it is the same sensation except I feel it more in my back and legs some. I don’t remember scrutinizing all if these feelings with my first pregnancy, but I definitely feel more in tune now.
@KateH1216 I’ve had a lot of dizziness too, it’s no fun! I walk led straight into a door last night when I got up from sleeping to go to the bathroom, I was so off balance. I did find out my thyroid is out of whack so I’m hoping that it’s related to that and will fade as we get my tsh back to normal.
Is anyone having sciatica pain? I had some a few weeks ago, but it went away after a walk. Today my tail bone, left cheek and inner thigh are killing me. I can’t lay comfortably and walking hasn’t helped.
Also on the the list of symptoms: super gassy, hungry ALL the time, easily get lightheaded, and forgetfulness.
@kmb412 I’ve had some sciatic pain, it’s quite common unfortunately. I never had it with my son, but I’ve been seeing a chiro for it this past year. It has definitely gotten worse the past two weeks. My friend who just has her baby had it pretty consistently until about 17 weeks, then it just went away, so I don’t think there’s much rhyme or reason to it. A heating pad helps when mine is being stubborn!
@kmb412 I had sciatic nerve pain soooo bad with my last. I finally went to my massage therapist I think in the 3rd trimester for a 90 minute massage that ended up lasting almost 2 hours and she got it all worked out and it didnt bother me the rest of the pregnancy! It was to the point where I could barely get out of bed or walk. Hope you get some relief!
My nausea went away after week 10/11 and I had been good for 3 weeks. Now I’m back to nausea ugh. Not as bad as it was in the first trimester but still frustrating.
And add me to the lightheaded count. I was in a meeting Monday and it hit me hard I thought I was about to pass out in front of everyone there. Also my balance is off, which seems weirdly early because I always thought that would be due to the big bump. But I fell over trying to put on underwear two days ago, like not just wobbled a bit, legit fell onto my bed face first and also tipped over walking up the stairs and bumped my head against the wall.. what the heck??
@rogro118 I have no insight but I am in a similar boat. Was started on the same med in Feb when they found I have hypothyroidism. One week later I got a positive test. My OB hasn't been testing my tsh even tho my endo wants him to so hopefully my levels are ok. I would definitely contact your endo asap as complications with tsh can cause problems for baby such as developmental delay.
@terbear2007 that’s why I was so concerned. It’s my endo that told me to keep the same dose. Honestly, I took half yesterday and today. It’s too low for my comfort zone, and I was never really regulated, it was always on a downward trend since the Fall. I’m getting it retested in 3 weeks and I’ll talk to her about dosage after that, and if need be find a new endo.
@kopp5988 I thought I was finally on the other side as of a few days ago...then I vomited 3 times this morning. I really just hate it.
I have diclegis but I honestly hate it too. It knocks me out like a zombie...and I've been trying to take it in the evening so it wears off by the next day, but nope. For me, it replaces the vomiting with awful fatigue and drowsiness.
Holy crap Im feeling more nauseous and on the verge of vomitting than I have this whole pregnancy. Ive been eating like crap though so that might have something to do with it. Driving to my in laws today about an hour and a half away. Praying I dont throw up in the truck.
@purplefan1 during DD2's pregnancy I drove 8 hours one day and by the time I got there I was so sick I felt like I spent half an hour in the bathroom. So it could just be from riding/driving.
@purplefan1 bring a trash can on the road trip! We drove 3.5 hours to my inlaw last night and while I didnt need it, I was glad it was there just in case!
@emeraldcity1214 the nausea started last night middle of the night. Hoping it is just pregnancy and not a bug coming on.
@gumby22c I have a travel puke bucket!! It was the first thing my husband bought me as a married couple on our honeymoon. Someone at our wedding gave every one the stomach flu so I spent our entire trip to Gatlinburg throwing up.
Maybe TMI warning.. I haven’t really pooped since Thursday other than a few small little “nuggets” (sorry but don’t know what else to call the size) I may have to call the doctor if I haven’t fully gone in the next day or two because I’m starting to get a little worried.
@kopp5988 meh, I wouldn’t really worry about it. I would go a week + between while pregnant with my daughter, so a handful of days wouldn’t concern me. It gets way uncomfortable, though, so make sure you stay hydrated. I also had to start with miralax daily just to stay comfortable. Oh, and lots of fruit and veggies. Otherwise, you could always do a colace or something, but that gives me diarrhea and makes me super uncomfortable for two days (tmi, sorry), so I just roll with miralax.
@kopp5988 try prune juice, that usually works for me. I also have gone a long time while pregnant, during my last pregnancy. It sucks but its not too concerning I don't think.
@creamcheeseplease@KateH1216 thanks for the reassurance that it’s totally normal, I’m not super uncomfortable yet more just annoyed but I’ll try prune juice or miralax if it gets bad, thanks!
@kopp5988 try a half cup of coffee if you don’t drink it already, it helps! A warm bath can help too and when you go put your feet on a stool, squatty potty style 😅. I’ve come up with lots of tricks, it’s no fun! Good luck!
I *almost* made it to 12 weeks without vomiting 😩. I definitely feel way more sick this week, what the heck?!?!
Coffee definitely gets things moving for me, so I second that suggestion if you dont drink it.
So embarrassing (and gross so skip if you have a sensitive stomach)....I had the most violent throw up session yesterday, I peed myself in the process 😭also broccoli is the worst thing ever to come back up. I may not touch another veggie for a long time. 2nd trimester is supposed to be better, but that's not the case just yet here.
I'm sorry y'all are still sick. I hope that lessons soon. I couldn't imagine being in second tri and still vomiting. Last pregnancy I was super sick all the time and it was like a switch just flipped and turned it off at 10 weeks.
Yesterday I decided to take the kids to the park late in the afternoon so not at the hottest part of the day. 15 minutes in and I was feeling sick and lightheaded like I was going to pass out. I stuck it out for 15 more minutes but then I had to gather my crew and go home. I'm pretty sure the heat brought it on. This makes me sad because I couldn't even go outside during my last pregnancy because of the summer heat. It's not even June yet. 😳 I guess I'm thankful we are moving to AK because it won't be this hot and we can likely play outside without me passing out.
@emeraldcity1214 I was getting ready to take my little one to a play house when I started feeling sick, lightheaded, and dizzy. I felt like I was running a temp but wasnt. And I am just inside my house in jammies! So maybe it wasnt the heat that affected you and maybe it is just the yuck end of 1st trimester/2nd tri beginning? I do recall more dizziness during 2nd tri which always makes me feel sick to my stomach. Stay hydrated and take lots of breaks. I just took a bath and that helped a ton.
I lied. The bath only helped while I was in it. I feel like hell today!! I want to get out of the house and take the toddler to do something but I also want to just lay around and read my kindle while she watches her tablet. I feel like a crap mom but I also really feel like yuck.
@kopp5988 Not to worry . I feel ya a few weeks ago I had a scare with this. Hadn't gone in several days and was so backed up that I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital with compacted stool! Called my doctor and she talked me down. Had my husband go to the pharmacy and pick up glycerine suppositories. After a warm soak and using those, had instant relief. A BM within 10 minutes. Was so relieved as we were leaving for vacation the next day and didn't want to get on a plane feeling like that.
Since then increased my fiber and water intake and added Colace to my meds. Not anywhere near pre-preggo regularity, but doing much better.
@purplefan1 I'm positive it's the heat. I have to be careful with hot showers and baths too because I start getting lightheaded while I'm in them and it only gets worse once I get out. This happened during DD2'S pregnancy. I literally couldn't go outside without getting lightheaded. One time I blacked out and nearly didn't make it inside before I dropped to the ground. It's something about the Southern heat. I could be outside when I lived in NE and it didnt bother me.
Ugh... I don’t recall getting up to pee so much in the night with previous pregnancies! For the last week I have literally gotten up every two hours. And then of course it takes me forever to go back to sleep. Naps have become my afternoon staple.
I am so nauseas... throwing up every morning. I am 14 weeks this week. I am a teacher-- this is making the end of the year even harder. Looking forward to this ending soon (I hope!!!)
@Kriztyn I was constipated for about a week! I drank tons of water, apple juice, prune juice, pregnancy safe stool softeners and Metamucil... I ate lots of fruits and greens and the only thing that finally helped me (per my dad’s recommendation) was a cup of caffeinated coffee with cream and sugar, lol. I don’t usually drink caffeinated coffee, but it took care of matters within 30 minutes! It was such a relief! My dad was right! .....Again... lol.
