    Pretty sure I sent DD to school today with an ear infection. We have both had colds and she was up crying last night saying her ear hurt. I was going to take her to urgent care before school but she panicked about being late. Every Friday during the cold months her teacher gives the kids hot cocoa during morning work if they were good all week. This is the last day for it and DD freaked at the thought of missing it. So, I sent her to school and we will head to urgent care tonight instead.

    @mrosek91 & @sourlemon - You deserve it! <3

    @Allycat11 - I would've done the same exact thing. Hopefully, it isn't anything too bad and you have a quick in-and-out experience.

    @lovelikestardust - AWESOME! :)

    FFFC: I have given DH an ultimatum on coming up with a baby name (with the knowledge that it *could* change once we meet her and if it feels like a different name would fit her better) TODAY. I feel like it is keeping me from moving on and getting the nursery put together (we are currently at ZERO percent).

    In regards to yesterday’s UO about ESAs - I write/sign those letters for clients. I mainly have done cats, but have done a couple of dogs. I say it’s bc the liability is higher for me to sign off on a dog. In reality, it’s bc I love cats ways more. Also, I always make sure to write the letter stating it is for the home environment. If they take them in public, that’s on them- not me.

    @jrm_14 - Thank you for adding that specification, I think it is definitely necessary, given what some others are experiencing!

    @mamak225 I will be first in line to advocate for pets helping with emotions. However, they are pets. Service dogs are very different. I have no problem writing for animals (cats lol) to be ESAs for THE HOME. I cringe when I see dogs out in public that are clearly not service animals.

    Eta: However, I do see some people that would benefit from a service animals but the price is so out of reach, ESAs are the only other option.

    Update: DD has an ear infection. Because I have been sick too I decided to get checked out while we were there. Turns out I also have an ear infection and pneumonia.  Another FFFC I do not have a primary doc and before today I can not tell you the last time I went in for something other than OB related.

    @Allycat11 No judgement on sending a sick kid to school, I’ve been there. Glad you both got seen and can hopefully get well soon!

    Our power went out for about 30 minutes this evening. I used it as an excuse to take the kids to CFA and I totally intend to let them play on the indoor playground until we go home for bed.

    @Allycat11 the last thing I went to a PCP for was to get prescription allergy medicine. And before that it was because I got hives and my lips swelled so much I looked like a failed at the Kylee Jenner lip challenge. But I do see multiple specialists.

    My FFFC is that I'm a terrible house keeper. Like awful. I hate cleaning but I also hate clutter. But I am just not good at cleaning up
  • Options
    @Beauxbaton I am a terrible housekeeper too. I am never great at it but it gets worse when I am pregnant. Over the past few years I have learned clutter is a big anxiety trigger for me...but when I get anxious I procrastinate taking care of things. It is a vicious cycle.

    @allycat11 girl. SAME. I can't handle the mess and clutter so I'll get overwhelmed and DH, who works a lot from home, will just be like "why don't you go rest?" And so I go rest. And nothing get done.

    @Allycat11 THE RELIEF to hear I’m not the only one without a primary doc!! I’ll get one any day now I promise! But I was under close medical care for infertility stuff for years, and I see an allergy specialist every so often (I don’t need primary doc clearance w my insurance so I just go straight to the specialist) (plus both my parents are doctors so they’ll prescribe random things in a pinch) so I just never really felt like I had the time to establish care. I’m determined to get one this summer.

    @cato99 - Same! We have a PRN at our on-site health clinic and she's been the only other person I've seen besides my RE or OB in the last 5 years :D One day, I'll be back to being a "normal" person lol

    FFTC: I’ve done next to nothing at work today and it’s almost lunch 😒 and I’m not really motivated to do anything this afternoon either. I was at a conference yesterday, so I should be working on my laundry list of responsibilities followed by maternity leave prep, but I’m having trouble functioning today. I thought about calling in sick (actually tired) because I didn’t sleep hardly at all last night, and my hip and lower back are hurting pretty bad today. But my annual performance review is complete and should be presented to me anyday now, so I don’t want to call out .... plus I’m hoarding vacation time... so I’m “here”, but not really here.

    I don’t have a PCP either 🙈

    Re: PCP... I technically have one because my last insurance required you declare one, but I haven’t been to the practice in years and the last few times I was there I couldn’t see “my” doctor, just this creepy guy who always has openings. With my current insurance it doesn’t cost anymore to go to doctors care, so that’s where I end up on the odd chance I actually go in for something non-maternity related.

    I have a PCP because I recently switched endocrinologists, and the one who was recommended to me won't see me unless I also have a PCP. When I went for my new patient appointment she was like "If everything is fine, why are you here?" She was really sweet about it, but seemed genuinely confused as to why I felt the need to see a doctor.
