How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc): Feeling mostly good.  Exhaustion is my big thing now.  A little bit of nausea creeping in, which is reassuring.  With my first, I remember the nausea really starting around 6 weeks.  My jaw pain from last week seems to be gone!

Rants/Raves: I feel like I will be unpacking boxes for the rest of my life 😫 *TW* Seeing all of DS’s baby things we had stored in the attic hit me harder than I expected.  We don’t have an attic at the new house, so everything is out in the open for now.

Questions: When are you planning on telling friends/family about your pregnancy?

GTKY: If you could live anywhere, where would it be? The Pacific Northwest (Oregon/NorCal)

Upcoming Appointments:  5/10 for a physical with my PCP so I can get a referral for an U/S after my 5/14 appt with OB.

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc):   Cheese Wiz?  Is it too early to have cravings?  symptoms have subsided - my boobs don't hurt so much, but I do feel like I'm bloated. 

Rants/Raves: We're getting our sidewalk fixed!  they are out here to break up the old walkway today.

@SpongeWorthy I'm sorry, that's got to be difficult seeing all his things again, and having the mix of emotions that comes with it, especially with the anticipation of using them again with a new baby 

To answer your question, we're planning to tell my family in person when I visit them the weekend of June 14th for Father's Day. We live with DH's family, so if we can manage to keep it secret until then we'll probably tell them around the same time. We're having DS's birthday party the following weekend on June 22, so the plan is to tell friends then, and anyone we don't see at the party we will tell the following weekend at a wedding we're all going to.

Upcoming Appointments: My first midwife appointment isn't until June 3, but I'm hoping to get an ultrasound requisition from my family doctor for a 7 week US like I did last time. 

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc): Tired AF. No real food aversions/cravings, or anything else but I'm sure it's coming. 

Rants/Raves: I'm just so excited I actually got my midwife of choice! The are we live in is notoriously difficult to even get a midwife at all because they're in such high demand, so the fact that she's the sister of a friend of ours helped our case I think, since she has some say about who her patients are. That and applying when I was literally less than 4 weeks pregnant. 

Questions: Is anyone else finding their hair is super greasy-looking compared to usual? I typically use sulfate-free shampoo and wash every other day, which is usually fine, but lately my hair looks gross even right after I wash it. I might need to try switching shampoos. 

GTKY: If you could live anywhere, where would it be? A relatively large piece of land with natural forest/water, but that's within a 15 minute drive from a mid-sized city.

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc): bloating a little, still got mild cramps and boobs have started to hurt a little and feel tender! This pregnancy has already started looking different than my first one!

Rants/Raves: Am not allowed to pick up my son due to pregnancy and I am really missing that and it makes me upset a little. He asks to be picked up but I can’t! I wonder that by the time the second baby comes and I will be allowed to pick my first one up again, what if he doesn’t want to be picked up anymore! I tell him, that my tummy is hurting and he would rub it and ask me if I am better and can I now pick him! It breaks my heart!

Questions: by when should the cramps stop? As in how many weeks typically!

GTKY: If you could live anywhere, where would it be? Somewhere in Australia 😍....

@SpongeWorthy have told our parents and sisters! Will be telling the extended family and friends only by end of May or early June. Especially once the first scan is done!

@SpongeWorthy - My sister and my BIL are the only ones that know.  Hoping to hold out until my first appt to tell others, but I'll likely tell my mom and MIL on Mother's day.  Won't tell my friends until after my first ultrasound.

@SpongeWorthy we don't live near family so hopefully if everything goes according to plan and hubby agrees I want to tell them in person when we go to visit at the beginning of June. Everyone else we will wait until after the 1st trimester.

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc): 
EXHAUSTED! I'm a hair stylist so when I'm at work I'm on my feet all day and definitely struggle with trying to keep my energy level up throughout the work day. And my days off I feel guilty for laying around and being lazy but I'm just so exhausted. On top of that having sore breast and naseau which tends to get worse later in the day. Havent thrown up yet but sometimes feel like if I did it would make me feel better.

Rants/Raves: 
Feel like I'm falling behind on house work cause i just dont have the energy

Questions:
When do you guys tell close family members do you still wait till the 12 week mark?

GTKY: what is your favorite book? Havent read much these past few years so cant really say I have any favorites right now but wanna get back into reading again.

@shingos for my first i told pretty quickly because i was on vacation with my sister and mom when we got our BFP. But it’s up to you. Depends on how close you are with family, and how mi h you trust the, to keep their mouths shut. Lol I’m waiting till I’m 8 ish weeks to tell parents this time.

 How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc): Terrible fatigue.  Some nausea, usually in the evenings.   And my sense of smell is overwhelming

 Rants/Raves: I really don’t want to do the dishes that are waiting for me 

 Questions: GTKY: If you could live anywhere, where would it be?  I love where I live now (Iowa) this is where I grew up and where my family is.   We lived in Seattle for 7 years and moved back “home” when DS was about 18 months old.    DH & I would like to have a retirement on the Washington Coast someday though.

@CapricaAndrea do you use a silicone free conditioner along with your sulfate free shampoo? If not that might be part of the problem. And eventually you will get build up anyway so you’ll want something that’s a little more cleansing than your daily shampoo. But obviously hormones are crazy and maybe that’s why! Dry shampoo?!

@jstinkz I actually don’t use conditioner at all and haven’t for probably 2 decades. My hair is super fine and I’ve never really needed it.
