We’ve been to a genetic counselor, had a level 2 anatomy scan, an echo, and everything is completely normal. She is measuring in the 50th percentile for everything. I’m just so upset but also holding out hope that this could be CPM or just a false positive. I know that we will love her regardless, and nothing can change at this point, but we aren't doing an amnio because we don't want to risk a miscarriage. I just can't help but be mad at myself for getting these tests done in the first place. We never did them with our first daughter and she is 2.5 and 100% healthy. Has anyone on here been through this, or know someone that has? Our EDD is August 25th.
Re: needing some advice, trying to cope
I know that we have at least 2 mamas on here who has abnormalities detected, and went for additional testing, one everything came back clear, and the other I believe is still waiting on results. We also have a mama on here who is expecting a son with Down Syndrome. You can do some searches or look through some old threads to try and find their stories. (I believe the NIPT, and the AS threads, have posts by them that discuss it.)
This really is a wonderful supportive community, but if you want to stick around I suggest you read the **Read this first** post pinned at the top of the board. We discourage one off posts because they clutter the board. Once you introduce yourself on the Intro thread, this would be a great question for the questions thread. I think this week's is a little buried because it hasn't gotten traffic yet, but you can just scroll down, or do a search for it.
