Trying to Get Pregnant

R/R: why am I bringing so much stuff on this trip?? It's only 4 days. Eh whatever. I'll be waking up well before sunrise the next 3 days yay.... As nice as it is to be away from work, this is no vacation lol.

CS/Q: idk if anyone can answer this, but does the BCP cause acne/breakouts? Seems to be worse on my shoulders and upper back lately. Boo

@kbrown2385 Ikea is so addicting! That comforter sounds so dreamy!

@inthewoods23 TB was down for like what felt like forever lol. Hope you can enjoy the competition! I think any time there's a shift in hormones is when your skin reacts. So I'm assuming yes. How was your birthday!

  • Good morning! I'm going  to try to keep up a little better today. Where is everyone??

    Month/Cycle: 12/12

    CD: 12

WAYDTGKU: Haven't been doing so good on these, but this is what I strive for: BBT, CM, PNV, baby aspirin, B6, B-complex, no caffeine or alcohol, HIO

R/R: Finally got a good night's sleep last night, even though DH had to work late. He's home tonight, so hopefully we'll be able to have a family night!

CS/Q: Forgot again this morning to take my temp. At this rate, FF's not going to be able to give me CHs.
  • @marebear15 Great news you were able to get some restful sleep! Hope you have fun tonight :).

  • @brookert615 - Get in that BDing! Don't you feel great when you sleep well!

@kbrown2385 - Glad you slept well too. I've never been in an IKEA, but I hear so much about them. Happy shopping!

@inthewoods23 - I must have missed it, but where are you traveling and is it for work?
  • @brookert615 ah! I got to sleep in a bit this morning so I had no idea!

@kbrown2385 Ikea is the bomb! Love that place! I think the least amount we've spent out of the few times we've shopping there was like $500 😱. It was just supposed to be me getting a desk and chair but then DH wanted it too since his desk is old and his chair is horribly uncomfortable.

At least everything we've bought has been great in our house. Although the Besta TV stand that we wall mounted nearly fell off.... Still need to patch up the wall before we try something else to make sure it's secured to the studs.

  • @kbrown2385 Oooo I must have been sleeping while it was down. I suppose this is why we are so light over in the TWW today?

    @marebear15 Enjoy your family night!

@inthewoods23 Any change in hormones can mess w/ your skin for sure, I think. Moving messed with mine! It took me forever when we moved down here to get in the right skin routine--like, which facewash, toner, and moisturizer to use. do you have one and it's just not working bc of the hormone shift probably?  Also, I always overpack.

@brookert615 I've never seen CBD on someone's WAYD... list--what are the benefits there? MH uses it sometimes, so we've got some around.

    Month/Cycle: 7/3AL

    CD: 10!

WAYDTGKU: pnv, bbt, cm, hio (fw officially begins!), coq10, vitd, green tea, all the good stuff

R/R: no rants except DH hasn't been sleeping well & I feel bad. But a rave: He texted me this morning to "watch out for the spider web!" as this spider has decided once again to make a huge web on our front porch. We get so many bad bugs, & he says it's not a poison spider, so we're gonna let it do its thing. I totally forgot yesterday was my dept's awards ceremony until like halfway thru the day, but we went & I received my teaching award. The guy that announced me is a total goofball & talked the longest of any presenter and by the end I was thoroughly embarrassed, but in a good way because he raved a lot about my teaching.

    CS/Q: Thrilling stuff:

  • @brookert615 @kbrown2385 jealous that you both got such great sleeps! I never sleep well during AF so I was struggling this morning.

@inthewoods23 BCP always helped acne for me but I could totally see it having the opposite effect for others

R/R: AF arrived yesterday and I had a pity party for myself. Trying to snap out of it today

  • @kagesstarshroom I read somewhere on accident that it helps. Although I initially started taking it because I have a handful of autoimmune diseases and got it for inflammation. This is from a quick search I just did "By relieving stress, CBD may have a positive impact on fertility.” ... Even so, she offers that CBD could support fertility by reducing oxidation or inflammation, enhancing hormone balance or egg quality, and acting as an adjunct to diet and lifestyle changes." Anywho... That's a bummer YH isn't sleeping well :(. That spider needs to go away! Congrats on the teaching award, great job!!!

@bows22 Awe, sorry you didn't sleep well. Sorry about AF!

@kagesstarshroom congrats on the award! that’s so fun!
  • @bows22 - So sorry that you were on the good sleep train. I don't sleep well during AF either. I always let myself have a day or two to feel down before making myself climb out of that dark hole.

@kagesstarshroom - Congratulations on your teaching award! That's awesome!
  • @kagesstarshroom congrats on the award! It’s always nice to feel appreciated:)

@bows22 the beginning of a cycle is always the worst. It’s ok to feel down.

@brookert615 that’s so interesting. I was wondering what it was so I’m glad someone asked! Every time I see you post it though I’m thrown off cause they are my initials lol

@kagesstarshroom such a love/hate relationship with spiders. I mean, I love them keeping the insect population in check, but they are still creepy. We have brown recluses here so I’m over here all “kill all the spiders!” I don’t want to take the 30 seconds to figure out what kind it is and risk it escaping lol

CS/Q: just two little dots. Not much going on yet.
  • @brookert615 Thanks! Inflammation and oxidation both seem to be consistent walls in the way of fertility, or at least that's what I learned from reading IT STARTS WITH THE EGG-- so that makes sense.
  • @madcouplewithabox Oh that's too funny! Hope YH's interview goes well! Good luck with going through all of your clothes!

@kagesstarshroom It is kind of crazy. I'm finding out a lot of things I was taking for this or that ended up being beneficial for TTC!

@brookert615 I could spend so much money there! I told dh it’s good we don’t own a house or I’d be redoing every room.

@kagesstarshroom yeah it wasn’t down too long but long enough to annoy me lol. Congratulations on the award!

    @bows22 sorry for af’s arrival.

@marebear15 glad you got some good sleep too! I wouldn’t recommend going to ikea unless you want to buy things you probably don’t need haha.

    CD: 5

WAYDTGKU: all the things...... this is my second cycle using the Ava I bought off FB marketplace. Pretty neat little thing. Checking CM/CP, using OPKs, recently added a vitamin B complex in addition the the prenatal I take.

R/R: *I have Hashimoto's, moved from Florida to the UK six months ago* A week ago it clicked that my luteal phase is too short. Like 8 days long too short. I went down the google rabbit hole and panicked. We already had planned a trip back to Florida (got back on Saturday) for a wedding and my brother's graduation, so I called the OB who saw me with my first pregnancy. They were able to get me in on Monday. Surprise! She was stuck in surgery so I saw another OB who I never met. I was a ball of nerves. The OB looked at me like I had 19 heads when I explained to her that based on my OPKs & temps, I am ovulating on CD 21 and my LP is 8-9 days long. I happened to be on CD 3 so she did some blood work. I am at a loss at what to do and I am upset at the outcome of the meeting with the doctor. I feel like I identified the problem (either ovulating too late or LP needs to be longer).... why couldn't the doctor give me a solution to that? I know that this is probably me being hasty so I feel a little crazy/all over the place. Blah.

  • @nolemama24 I would suggest looking into a endocrinologist for your Hashimoto's. My endocrinologist and OBGYN work together on my medications and everything. Are you on medication, if so what are you on? Sometimes the type of thyroid meds don't agree with the patient. I was on Synthroid for a while and they kept upping it because my levels just weren't right. They put me on Armour Thyroid and the difference is night and day.

  • @brookert615 oh, that is interesting. I was seeing an endocrinologist when I lived in Tampa, but then stopped because I felt like my GP could handle the treatment. I was originally put on Synthroid. Since moving to the UK, my GP switched me to the generic of Synthroid but I never thought of actually changing medications all together. Maybe I should call up an endocrinologist while I am back in Tampa to get another opinion.
