I originally had a polyp removed via a D&C in 11/2017. When we started visiting a fertility specialist a year later, she found another one during an ultrasound. She said my previous doctor may have missed a polyp during the procedure or didn't "grab it by the roots." Gross. Anyway, she didn't seem particularly concerned. I had a hysteroscopy/polypectomy (slightly different from a D&C) in 11/2018. Once I healed, we started monthly IUI's for which I took Letrozole. No success in December 2018 or January 2019. In February, during a routine ultrasound associated with the IUI process, they found another polyp. At this point, we gave up on IUI and I opted to begin IVF. We decided to go through the process and freeze our embryos prior to having another polyp-removing surgery since the doctor and I agreed that the high-estrogen drug regimen might encourage more polyps to grow. Anyway, my question is this: has anyone else experienced recurring polyp problems in which the polyps came back really quickly? Did that affect/not affect your pregnancies? I am deathly afraid that they will come back between the time of my next polyp removal and embryo transfer, either affecting implantation or leading to miscarriage. Thanks for any feedback!
