Upcoming Appointments: 4/10 to discuss bloodwork results from my 1st appointment, and do more bloodwork, I guess.
How are you feeling?: Starting to get a lot better, nausea-wise, but now I'm in a phase where I sort of have to remind myself to eat. Nothing I see really looks appetizing, so I'm having to make myself eat good food. I am also still sleeping about 11 hrs a night and am tired after one activity for the day.

How are you feeling?: Lots of RLP the last few days. Having a little bit more energy during the day but exhausted by 8pm. Starting to feel a bit more emotional.... crying and such.

We have 3 wonderful rescue dogs!
Buddy was DH dog before we got together so he is the OG. He is getting older so he enjoys sitting in his chair (yes, he has his own chair) and making sure there isn’t any funny business. He loves going for walks and will come and tell you when it’s dinner time.
We got Grace 4 years ago from a shelter. She runs off of love and has an obsession for tennis balls. She is definitely my sidekick and won’t leave the bedroom in the morning until I leave the room.
We found Nolan a year and a half ago. *TW It was right after our miscarriage otherwise I don’t think DH would have let me keep him. I needed this pup as much as he needed us! He is, by far, the most spoiled of them all and is such a cuddler!!
We also have 30 chickens but I won’t name all them. Pictures of the pups in the spoiler. Buddy is the black one, Grace is the big white one, and Nolan is the little guy ❤️❤️❤️

-I'm wearing maternity pants for the first time ever and HALLELUJAH are they heavenly! So comfy!
-I told all my aunts and uncles this weekend! Everyone was pretty excited. We also shared the baby's sex with both immediate families.
-I'm telling work this week. I'm terrified of everyone knowing, should something go wrong. But as my H keeps reminding me, my anxiety probably isn't going to go away before my belly gives me away, so I should just be brave and jump in. I'm scared, but also excited to be out in the open!

I have one fur baby, a high energy Australian Shepherd. She is a total spaz and I love her to death despite her inability to chill. Her favorite things include: treats, playing fetch for 153736 hours, and stealing every single sock out of the laundry hamper.

Questions: How long did you guys wait to get your NIPT blood test results back? I had mine this morning.
GTKY: Tell us about your pets! We recently had to rehome our pup. I miss him dearly but the couple that adopted him are just wonderful people, so I know he’s doing well. Right now we are pet less and I’d like to keep it that way for a while. I’m not ready for another pet and with another baby coming I think its poor timing, for me at least because I can be a scatterbrain.
@galentine So exciting that you got to tell extended family last weekend. Did you do a special gender reveal for them? Good luck telling work. It actually feels really good when you're totally, completely public!
@emily1052 30 chickens??!! I forget if you live in a rural area or a city? Urban chicken farming has become kind of a huge trend in my neighborhood. I don't think it's for me, but I am totally intrigued by it.

How are you feeling?: Anxiety was squashed today with good news! Physically, I am still exhausted at night, have to pee 84576891 times a day, and my sense of smell is still off the charts.
Rants/Raves: No rants. Just raving about how awesome my OB is. I didn't have a scheduled ultrasound today, but when I mentioned some minor spotting she was like "Lets just do a quick sono to check." I knew she wasn't worried in the slightest, but it was early and the office was not busy. So YAY!, I got to see baby and it was amazing. He/she was moving like crazy--like pushing off with it's legs and sliding back down, over and over like it was just playing around. So fun. Strong heartbeat, too. Feeling comfortable with the fact that we've told so many family and friends lately about the news.
GTKY: Tell us about your pets! No current pets. I grew up with a cat named Pickles. And had a pug in my 20s. I'm kind of obsessed with pugs and smushed-face dogs. But we probably won't get one until our kids are old enough to help.

How are you feeling?: actually fairly good! Sneezing a storm but my bump is cute, my tits are sore and I’m feeling mellow and pregnant which is nice. I think it’s just birthday magic and I’ll go back to being a hot mess tomorrow lol
Rants/Raves: it’s my birthday! And my partner & toddler are currently making me pancakes so woo hoo!

GTKY: Tell us about your pets! I have one dog, Lyra, who is turning 13 this month. I’ve had her literally since she was born. We adopted her mom when she was pregnant when I was a senior in high school and my mom ended up being out of town with a family emergency when the dog delivered. My sister and I took over the whole thing and I got to raise and train 8 adorable puppies. It was an incredible experience and I got an amazing dog out of it. Sharing my all time favorite photo of her with my little one from way back in the day. We also have a cat, Sophie, who is turning 14 this year. We’re not cat people and basically took her as a favor to my mom (long obnoxious story) but the kiddo loves the cat and I have a friend who visits often and loves her as well.

We we have two dogs, a 5 year old black lab mix named Finn and a 2 year old Siberian Husky named Kai. They are super loyal and great with our kids. We also got 3 goldfish for our kids 6 months ago that we fully expected to have died by now and now aren’t sure how long we are going to have fish haha.

Upcoming Appointments: had one this morning! We got to see little bean waving at us and hear the heartbeat. All the scary things from my last ultrasounds (SCH, empty sac) were gone so I’ve graduated to monthly appointments. Also had the blood draw for the NIPT.
How are you feeling?: so gross. DD brought home some sort of cold last week and I’m battling that on top of the nausea and vomiting. I normally wouldn’t stay home from work for a cold, but I did today because I don’t want to risk this getting worse.
Rants/Raves: Everything just tastes wrong. I miss enjoying food.

None now. I had a cat growing up and would have pestered DH for a cat a long time ago but he’s allergic. We’ll get a dog when the kids are older.
@junebabyh we live in town but we have an acre of land so that’s why we can have so many. I grew up on a farm so I always knew I’d have some sort of livestock.
@galentine I am also a huge fan of maternity pants!! So glad you’re getting comfy!!

@quidditchcapn1120 I had a goldfish when I was younger...we done some sort of experiment on them in school (how cruel?! I think it was just like cold water vs warm water or something but still) and I didn’t expect it to live long but I had that thing for many years

GTKY: We have one pup, Nugget. He is a German Shepherd-Chow mix (or "Shapow" as I like to call it) and 100lbs of pure love. We got him from the shelter when he was six-weeks old and he's 10 now. We seriously got lucky with him because he is the most chill, relaxed dog ever, and is so good with DS.

-DS sleeps in our bed but we finally put together his twin bed yesterday. He was so excited to sleep in it...then woke up at 1:30 and wouldn’t stop crying until I laid with him. So I was awake a lot, and feeling like shit, and just wanting to be in my own bed 😩
-I’m so hungry. And so tired of eating. I’m craving like...dinner food too, not snacks, but haven’t been cooking much. So I end up eating crappy frozen food, and then not eating enough bc I’m tired of eating, and then I get so nauseous
-FIL is going thru chemo and has been in the hospital with a fever since Thursday. They can’t figure out what’s causing it and said it “could be viral and take 2-3 weeks to go away”. I’m going to call my dr but I’m terrified of getting a fever and don’t want to have to avoid him for that long
Raves
-DS has been so helpful lately. He helped DS with a lot yesterday and today has helped me wash and fold laundry today. He’s so eager to help and it’s so fun to see him accepting responsibility
-We went to a birthday party on Saturday and they had a brunch buffet. I’ve been day dreaming about the food ever since. It was so good

Our son adores her and always gives her kisses and tells her how cute she is 🥰 She’s coming around to him a lot more the older he gets. She was a little iffy about him when he was younger but she loves him and is so good with him (picture behind the spoiler)

I saw in the portal that they billed it to my insurance and when I called my OB's office the receptionist looked it up and said "Oh yes, let me see if a nurse is available to talk to you." Of course no one was so they are supposed to call me back. But that was FIVE HOURS AGO! Argh.

GTKY: Tell us about your pets! Two cats for us. We both want a dog but our travel schedules have made it tough to commit. The long haired gray one in the picture is Oscar, DH's cat that he's had for 13 years now. He's a big old cuddle bug. The smaller, short haired gray is Callie. We got her a year and a half ago from the shelter. She is my baby - I work from home when not traveling and she spends all day in my office with me, sleeps on me at night, etc. They are both spoiled rotten and embarrass us with their poor manners when we have guests!

We are finding out this time for a couple of reasons, but waited with DS2 and it really was an incredible surprise when he was born. I kind of wish DH was more into being team green, b/c I'd jump the finding out boat in a heartbeat.

How are you feeling?: Super lousy still. I'm having some good days but the last couple I've had body aches and general inflammation. Sooo constipated still. Super exhausted with total mommy insomnia (I swear I wake up if DS breathes too loudly in his room with the door closed).
Rants/Raves: Rant: this one may be petty but DS is teething, again, so he didn't sleep last night and of course then neither did I past 2 am. I asked SO if he could call in a favor with his parents to watch him today as well as the scheduled tomorrow. He wouldn't ask them this morning and I told him then not to bother since that's the hard part of taking care of him. Evening SO is back home and can help, overnight may suck or it may not. He called a little while ago to say he's going to ask them to take him overnight so "we" can get some sleep, ya know, despite the fact SO was snoring every time I checked, but says he didn't sleep either. No matter for me taking on an extra whiney, extra poopy (extra saliva from the teething) baby while not feeling good, on no sleep. Instead I guess I'm just going to waste a sick day tomorrow I think.

How are you feeling?: Doing better overall. Nausea has been tapering off, but not gone completely. Headaches are still annoying me along with the pregnancy rhinitis (I'm so tired of sniffling and sneezing!). Energy level seems to have improved so that's nice!
Rants/Raves: Rave: We're going cabin camping this weekend with friends. We've been going with essentially the same group for over 15 years. We usually do yurts, but this year it's cabins. We have a snack competition and it's a ton of fun. Can't wait! Rant: Our NIPT results aren't expected back until after our weekend away and I was hoping to be able to share the news. At least it should be fairly easy to hide the fact that I'm not drinking.

How are you feeling?: fine. Wish I didn't gorge on junk food in the evenings after putting the kids to bed, though.
Rants/Raves: Stupid brain rant: I've had to supplement with formula with both kids; with DD1 I switched to formula after 2 months because I had no idea how to pump and with DD2 I pumped at work, supplemented when needed with formula and BF at home for 12m+. And no matter how many times I tell myself that whatever amount of milk I can manage is the perfect amount and formula is absolutely amazing I still feel like a bit of a let down in that aspect. So now that my boobs feel fuller and are kinda reminding me of how I felt while BFing I'm all hopeful that maybe this time my body won't have supply issues. Of all the things to get hung up on...

GTKY: Tell us about your pets! I had 4 ball pythons until about 3 weeks ago. I'd had them since I was 12, so 25 years. I surrendered them to a reptile sanctuary (and paid them a lot of money to house them) because I was just not doing them justice. As sad as I thought I'd be, when I saw the cages and great conditions the reptile facility offered their animals I was just relieved. And it still feels that way. When I do work around the house and am like "oh F*ck the snakes need food/water/etc" I am so happy I didn't forget to take care of another living being.

Rants/Raves: So we finally told the kids on Fri night. It was very unexciting. Niece didn't hint to having known and turned BRIGHT red once she figured out what I was saying to DS. DS was pretty slow on catching on. Now he just yells "wake up baby" at my belly whenever we are snuggling. I'm wondering how long it will take him to tell daycare as he didn't want to yesterday lol.

GTKY: Tell us about your pets! We have 2 cats, 1 dog, and a Guinea pig. My cat is old and cranky but adores me and DS. DH's cat is a total smart ass (in furry form) and is always causing trouble. But then will quickly turn Into the most lovey thing on earth. Our dog is a mutt who is for sure smarter then he let's on. He's such a baby but has a big bark and is a great protector (especially when I'm preg). Then out Guinea is pretty much what you'd expect in a rodent. With an INTENSE love of tomatoes.

GTKY: Tell us about your pets! We have 3 dogs, A yellow lab named Moose who is literally the laziest sweetest dog ever. I’ve seriously never seen a lab puppy (he’s only 8 months old) so lazy and laid back. We also have 2 Corgis, Maggie and Annie who are wild, crazy, so basically just typical Corgis. We also have 3 rabbits that are our kids 4H showing pets named Bingo, Cupcake, and Rainbow.
