Devastating Loss

Last week we had our 20 week scan to get a gender on our baby.  During this scan we were told we were having twins.  We went 20 weeks and had no idea.. I lost all faith in my dr at that point.  During this scan (which was my only ultrasound) it showed a problem with my cervix.  My cervix was funneling, I was put on strict bed rest.  On Wednesday I received a phone call that a specialist 4 hours away wanted to see the next day.  So my husband and I go out 8 year old ready to spend an evening with our friends.  We were hoping the could go in and stitch my cervix and everything would be fine.  Thursday was my appointment with the specialist, they did an hour long scan.  The dr looked it over and wanted to do a physical exam.  During this time he said he could a sack because I was 4 cm dilated.  I was immediately admitted to the hospital in hope we could slow the progression down, and get the babies farther along.  Friday evening about 11:30 my water broke.  I delivered out babies at 20 weeks and lost both. I pray and hope everyone has a healthy pregnancy.
