What's going on this week?

I have a funny feeling my coworkers suspect my pregnancy. We are a tight-knit group and work in a shared space with no cubicle walls, so we are very chatty and talk and tease each other a lot. My coworkers have teased me for years about when I'll get pregnant (which was not super fun while dealing with a loss, but for the most part I've been okay with it). We even have a department-wide joke that it could happen "any day now." All the sudden they are not saying a word. It's very unlike them and very suspicious 😂

My classroom heat is stuck on way too high, so I am duper hot and uncomfortable. This is NOT helping my nausea. It may be 40 F outside, but I might wear a skirt tomorrow if this isn't fixed!

@steminist ughhh i feel you. had to go to the dmv today and it was unbearably hot plus all the people with their smells...it was terrible, almost legit threw up as I walked out the door.

@steminist I check the weather daily and change my winter coat according to the temperatures to avoid overheating. Getting too hot in public transit mixed with the smells is the worst for me!!

We just moved beginning of February and did pretty well plowing through all the major boxes but now it’s a bunch of small random stuff sitting in the garage and I have nooo motivation to unpack those... if it happens before October im gonna call it a win 😆 good luck, moving is never fun!

Ugh good luck! This will be me in two months (although I guess technically 2nd tri by then). Moving sucks so much!!

I moved when I was pregnant with both boys, but never in 1st tri. It’s so exhausting

I read this as moving your body not moving where you live. And I was like, yeah, it is awful! 😂

I started lurking the new November BMB thanks to @manillabar's post about it being open. The Nov BMB has a poster named creamcheeseplease and also a poster called justaplainbagel. I'm dying at the coincidence 😂

Hi. Not feeling work this week (surprise!) but I've got a biggish presentation on Thursday so coasting by this week is definitely not going to happen. At least I've got tomorrow to look forward to - the kid's swingset is going to be delivered and even just seeing it in our garage makes me giddy for spring.

Ummm, Luke Perry died!!!!! Where are my other AMA moms?! Remember when I said the fictional place I’d like to visit was The Peach Pit from 90210??? Sad time for those of us who were teenagers in the 90s.

I have fish and chips for lunch, and normally that is super exciting and awesome, but I am feeling sick just thinking about it. But also hungry? I really just want to go out and get a happy meal, but I don't think I have enough time.

ETA: I might just ask my work buddy who has planning after lunch to run over for me...I think I can ask her without outing myself!

Tomorrow we are 10 weeks!  Which is so exciting!  It also means that I get to quit taking progesterone (orally) which is good but makes me nervous....

I feel like this could go in the question thread or the announcement thread too, but I'm going to ask here just for the sake of chatter: when is everyone telling work? 

Ideally, I'd like to hold out until 14 or 15 weeks. But we have a big work dinner coming up when I'm 12w5d, and there will be a lot of side-eyes and nosy questions when I don't drink at this dinner. I think my workmates are already pretty suspicious, so I'm feeling like maybe I should just tell them that day, before the dinner, so at least it comes out on my terms. I'm still debating.

@galentine Last time I told my boss around 7-8 weeks. It was earlier than I would have liked but I was so sick I felt like I should explain. I told coworkers I’m close to around 12 or 13 weeks, once I got the NIPT results back, and made a more general announcement when I was 3.5-4 months. This time, I was hoping to wait until I get the NIPT results, but I might have to tell my boss earlier again since I’ve been having a lot of doctor appointments.

@galentine my boss and HR person know already but I plan on telling the office at 12 weeks.  I’ll have the NIPT results by then so if everything is okay I’ll let them know why I’ve been a slug the last 2 months 😂

@galentine my boss and our emergency response director already know. I needed to modify my travel schedule for the second half of the year. They’re sworn to secrecy though

@junebabyh I was so sad when I heard the news 😭 I'm not AMA and didn't watch BH90210 on live TV, but loved watching reruns and had most of it on DVD.

My mom just texted me and said she has the day off, and would I want her to pick me up at work to take me to lunch? UMMM yes please!! Free lunch AND quality time with my mama! I'm so excited. This just made my day! ❤

Now I just have to make sure I can keep my trap shut about pregnancy during lunch because I am telling her and the whole fam TOMORROW!! 😁

You guys, I may accidentally (or need to intentionally) out myself to a coworker. Our office shares a window and it's always open because we need to communicate back and fourth. Well today everything he's eaten has smelled sooooo good. I have to keep my thoughts to myself.....

Lunch with my mom was great! Not only did she buy lunch, she also brought me chocolate chip pecan cookies. My favorite! She is the best. ❤ Also she kept saying "I'm so excited for tomorrow!" in reference to our family dinner with my siblings and parents.... and I kept thinking "You have NO idea." She is going to be so excited!

We took possession of our house THE WEEKEND before I delivered my first. What were we thinking???

My mom unpacked practically my whole house, lol.

@prpl11butterfly I'm having the exact same problem. I keep making total pregnant lady comments on all the food stuffs and then practically slapping my hand over my mouth as the words come out. I'm pretty sure they know.

Today's random is your friendly PSA: As we're all starting to order all the fun stuff for our soon to come littles, keep an eye on your bank account. On Thursday my card got declined when trying to prepay gas. For some reason I rationalized it that I must have had a really low account balance (which I did). But then yesterday trying to buy my groceries it was declined. Hmmm maybe this was an issue with card reader? Paid both out of another account but all flags finally went up when I tried to take cash out of the ATM and it refused me. Finally I called the bank. I had been hacked, some purchase was attempted for $66 in London. Very happy that my bank caught it as suspicious and declined it, and all further purchases. Bummed though to have had to order a new card (I had that one fully memorized and all my automatic payments are set up through it). So yeah, now I have to go to the bank on the way home just to have some cash to use since my new card won't be here for 5-7 days. Keep an eye on those accounts ladies!

My random thought for the night: I feel like an old woman. At bedtime I take my prenatal, a dha supplement, B6, Unisom, Zantac and (for the last time tonight) an antibiotic for UTI. Too many pills! Especially when nausea and reflux are bad 🤢 I’ve had a couple nights that I’ve had to skip bc I can’t handle putting anything in my mouth

Anyone else run into this problem? It's Saturday night, and my husband has had a few beers. Nothing excessive and I'm not judging him or anything, but.... he's being all chatty and annoying!! He wants to have like big discussions about future plans and I'm like, let's just put a pin in this until tomorrow. Or he tries to be silly and goofy and I am just not a good audience for that, either. But I don't want to be rude, because if I weren't pregnant I probably would have had some wine on a night like this and we'd be on the same page. 

I think I'm going to have to make Saturday nights movie nights from here on out so we can just focus on that!

@Snaps816 that is me durning pregnancy. I seem to lose my sense of humor and my tolerance for slightly annoying things.

Also cleaning up and dealing with a puking kid is a whole different game when you’re first trimester sick.

+1 to not dealing with husband nonsense. I'm tired. I want to accomplish the task at hand and go lay down. I do not want you following me to sneak some kisses and romance while the kids aren't looking (IE DS isnt up my butt).

@kindbytealikat DS has been feverish since yesterday morning and I have been really wrmirried about him getting sick and how I'm going to deal. Likely I would have to put DH on clean up.....

And also. I'm up. I've been up since 530 which was 430 yesterday. Wtaf......

I'm so suspicious that my co-teachers are going to figure it out.
They now I'm trying and there are 12 other pregnant/had babies this year teachers.  
I did have to tell my counter part in the grade below bc she was scheduling IEPs and I really didn't want to come back from leave into a hot mess stress next year.
I'm waiting until 12/14 weeks to tell anyone. Only my husband my mom the teacher above and I know.
