Ugh, so far this month has been the worst for me. I can't figure out if my nausea is getting worse, or maybe I am coming down with something. I can't sleep, I am sneezing a lot which causes me to to stuffed up and I am gagging on things so much more than I ever was previously. It's been windy here, and my hair blew into my mouth and I almost threw up. Like wtf?!

Please let this be the worst of it before all of this goes away. FX

Sometimes when I stand up too quickly my entire uterus area hurts so much! I stand up and am bent over in pain and have to immediately sit down again and just try again at standing up. Doesn't happen very often, but I'm sure I look very odd to people who don't know what's happening.

I started getting round ligament pain last week.  Not the worst symptom ever, but annoying!  And after I eat I get a side stitch when I walk.  The two combined make me feel like an old lady!

@kaceyallan I'm so sorry, but the mental image of you gagging on your own hair as it whips you in the face is making me LOL. I really do feel for you though. My nausea has been so amplified the last month. Can't wait for it to start getting better!

The gas, you guys. It's so bad. I feel like I've burped/farted approx. 49,000 times in the last 24 hrs.

@mamaber2204 the round ligament pain is so real. Started a few days ago for me. It is brutal.

    Still nauseous. Not as tired.

I've had 4 incidents over the last 3 weeks where my heart rate shoots up to 140-150 for no reason and I get super flushed and dizzy. The only common denominators are that I am standing for a long time in a warm environment. It's not fun. Do not like. I think it's just par for the course but it scares me because I frequent hot, crowded NYC subways.

@zuuls_mom It would have been hilarious for anyone watching for sure! Here's to hoping this nausea subsides in the next couple of weeks!

So I just entered the second trimester, I'm 14w and 2-3d. I'm having a mini meltdown right now because I just realized I feel really good, like too good, even my boobies don't hurt anymore. I know it's normal for symptoms to ease up in the second trimester, but is it normal to have lost all my symptoms??? Thanks for supporting an anxious FTM!

@dahliasanddogs It is so normal to feel great during the second trimester. I’ve been waiting and waiting to get there because I remember it being so wonderful!

@dahliasanddogs with DS I remember 14 weeks, give or take a day, as the time all my symptoms went away all at once (including the sciatica that came on at 10 weeks) and the start of two months solid of feeling pretty great. It's pretty disconcerting, but it's normal!

I’m 11 weeks and feel terrible still..I thought I felt a bit better the last few days but still nauseous and exhausted and in a terrible mood...my poor SO..he thinks I’m going nuts..I keep crying cause I feel so bad then gagging because my nose starts running when I cry..just ridiculous. I also think I have the sciatica problem one of you mentioned didn’t even know that was a thing but I work with kids and habe to sit on the floor and keep getting stuck and horrible back pain after. Hope this 14 weeks thing is true!

13 weeks on Wednesday and I’m still so nauseous and still on meds. I really hope this gets better for everyone this month! I can’t take it anymore. It’s like a constant constant hangover.

@cmdesigner as a New Yorker, I totally get it. I live in ct now and commute 1-2x a week for work. Last week on the subway, same thing happened to me. I know the trigger was an unpleasant smell, the heat and a little bit of anxiety being around so many people (nuts that I’m like this now when I’ve commuted on the subway every day since I was 12). I would get it checked out to be safe. I mentioned it to the dr but everything else looked good, so he said it may just be the m/s + anxiety. I know it’s freaky.

@rms924 I am a little over 12 weeks and I am so beyond annoyed that my nausea just will not go away. And I never know when it will hit. I was down for the count all Sunday afternoon/night because I'd get sick every time I moved. Re: crowd anxiety...so real. I am struggling with my commute now. I can't stand being so close to people. It's really cramping my style.

Things that I noticed this week: my abs hurt. Like I worked out too hard. I had to sleep hugging a pillow last night. Also, today, it feels like someone punched me in the vulva? Really not digging that.

    Doing great, ya'll. Doing great.

@cmdesigner I’m sorry you’re still struggling. It should get better for you soon, but there’s also a chance it won’t. I certainly hope you start feeling better ASAP!! Also, not to scare you, but just wait until baby develops muscles akin to a professional soccer player and/or MMA fighter. Suuuuuuuuper fun going to bed at night. 🤣😜

    Isn’t pregnancy so beautiful?!?

@zuuls_mom while I can't say I've had the same experience, your post gave me a hearty laugh this morning, so thank you!! :D:D:D

@cmdesigner Don’t lose hope yet. Last pregnancy, I didn’t start feeling better until 15 weeks. Then I had an amazing 2nd and 3rd tri!

for some reason, I am not getting alerted to tags.

This heart burn is RIDICULOUUUUUUS! I basically am poppin’ tums like candy! Also, today sucks. My blood pressure is low to begin with and regularly will drop really low and I get dizzy. Today I keep feeling like I’m on a tilt-a-whirl or the ground is going to shift on me. I feel nauseous but keep thinking I just need to find the right food to help me feel better... and that’s not true. Ugh, such a mess!

@cmdesigner ughhh the nausea! Sorry you're still dealing with it. I've also noticed sore abs in the last few days, particularly in the oblique area. Weird.
@zuuls_mom actually, yes! I think I already had like a couple fine hairs around my nipples before, but they've been SUPER prominent lately.

@RedBreast35 happy that my nips can bring you laughter!  ;)

@sunshine2417 yes, this heartburn is no joke already. Anytime I have anything even mildly acidic I feel horrible. Tums aren't really touching it so I may have to opt for something stronger. I didn't get it really badly until 3rd tri with DS so I am nervous of what's to come if it's already this bad!

@themadcamel this makes me feel so much better. I was so mortified like "what are you trying to do to me, body!?" So much sexy, all the time.

@zuuls_mom yesssss! I had this bad of heartburn like end of 2nd tri and into 3rd with DS! This is insane! I take the extra strengths tums and basically need one every couple hours—then I realized that per my doctor’s handy dandy pamphlet on meds you can have while pregnant, I’m having waaaaay too many tums. If you find something else let me know! I’ll try to find that sheet and see if there’s another suggestion.

@sunshine2417 my OB said I could take up to 150 mg of Zantac a day (2 of the regular strength tabs or one of the maximum strength). I took one yesterday and it seemed to help.

@themadcamel yessssss thank you! I need to check that out!

@sunshine2417 hopefully you get some relief! I thought I had heartburn a few times as a non pregnant person, but no. It feels awful!!
  • Options
@lillywonderland my MIL probably thinks that about me too, but knows better than to say it!!
Also, 3 hours of commute?!?! No wonder you’re sleep deprived!

+1 to never having had heartburn this early before. Whyyy is this something that starts sooner with subsequent PGs?

Ordered pizza hut yesterday....made a wrong turn so I did a u turn as my husband asked me of I knew where I was going. Of course I do. Made another wrong turn before we got there. This was after I ran into a wall in front of our director...

Ugh, so I decided two nights ago that I’d probably be OK if I stopped taking unisom/b6 at night and have felt so crappy for the last two days! I’m hoping it’s just my body getting used to not being on the meds 🤢
  • Options
@RedBreast35 if you're still feeling the sickness, I'd say it doesn't hurt to stay on it for a while longer. Feeling sick is the woooorst! Do nothing you can to help yourself feel better!

In addition to the insane level of exhaustion, I'm breaking out like a teenager on caffeine pills or something .I don't mean those tiny little whiteheads you give a good squeeze and pop goes the weasel. I'm talking the huge red mountain that you can squeeze and squeeze til you form a blood blister and yet the pimple is still there for days before you can even pop it. Sorry for the gross images I may have just put in your mind but idk how to deal with this. They're everywhere...face, back, shoulders, neck, chest. Wth do i do?

@RedBreast35 I’ve been going through the same thing! I feel awful without the diclegis. I’m talking to my dr today about it.

It’s so nice not to feel like a maniac...I was so sure it was all in my head.

@rms924 How long have you been off the diclegis?  LMK what your Dr. says!!  I wanted to stop the meds because I think they're contributing to my constipation and I don't want to depend on them for sleeping.  But this is day 3 and I'm not feeling much better, so my hope that it's just an adjustment period is really starting to fade...
  • Options
@RedBreast35 I stopped taking all of my anti-nausea meds because I'm sure they were making the constipation worse. Luckily, the severity of the MS is on a gradual decline for me. I've just decided I'd rather be nauseous/throw up than not be able to poop for days and days lol.
  • Options
@themadcamel plus being that constipated makes you feel like throwing up sometimes too!!  Gah, this is second tri, this is the part of pregnancy that you're supposed to be able to look back on and think "being pregnant wasn't so bad!!"
