  • Good morning! Month/Cycle: 8/6 CD: 3 WAYDTGKU: PNV, CM/CP, HIO, ordering OPKs R/R: rant: I had a ton of stuff I needed to get done today but I am putting it all on hold to go sit and wait in an Army visitor center. Maybe for five minutes, maybe for five hours. So that's going to be super fun. CS/Q: nope
  • @jennifer_louise:  yay longer LP!

@Kbrown2385: hoping sickness stays away!  And also, that class sounds awesome.

    Month/Cycle:  cycle 7/month 9

    CD:  14

WAYDTGKU:  OPK, letrozole, BBT, CM/CP, HIO (ugh, see below)

R/R:   in a major funk this morning due to some "failure to launch" last night.  And now a +OPK this morning, so I'm feeling like we've missed prime-time BD for this cycle.  UGH.

CS/Q:  nothing exciting to see here, but +OPK this morning makes me think I'll have a temp shift soon!

  • @emeraldduchess ha! We were saying at work how it feels like Friday! Ugh!

@kbrown2385 I hope you feel better! Maybe it won’t turn into anything!

@lcking82 ugh! Sorry! Go for it today! You never know.

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 13

WAYDTGKU: OPK, BBT, prenatal, supplements, timing

R/R: I got the blinking smiley face today! Woohoo! I sent a video to my husband who was already at work I was so excited!

    CS/Q: none for now!
  • @lcking82 Sorry for your funk/possibly missed opportunity! Maybe some launching today/tonite will help?

@jennifer_louise yr waydtgku made me giggle. i think it was "ute."

@holly321 are they spiked as in all around higher orrrrr creating more spikiness?

@emeraldduchess the word "snow" reminds me not to bitch about the weather when it's 50-69 degrees like i was doing yesterday but a week in Jamaica and a day in Miami will make anyone, even a Louisianan, bitch about the weather. I hope the snow misses you this time.

    month/Cycle: 5/4 / 1 AL

    CD: 20

WAYDTGKU: benched but pnv & also other stuff i hope helps in the long run, like-- going organic/bpa-free & drinking rrlt & stuff like that.

R/R: back from vacation! tried to post yesterday to WTO, since I live here now in AL limbo lolz, but dealing with computer issues and also all the things i didn't do while we were away.... vacation-related rants: i almost puked on a long crazy bus ride from very wild driving combined with motion sickness, a new thing in my life. also, the neighbors where we were staying were burning plastic one day while we were on the veranda and I was kind of flipping out. vacation raves: we really had a good, relaxing time and got to know my Mom's Jamaica-- met her friends who live there and saw the sights. It was also great to spend time with my fam.

CS/Q: Of course bc we are benched, these last two days have been the first time I have noticed EWCM since I started tracking! wtf. anyway, here is my weird ****tw: loss**** post-d&c chart, waiting forever to ovulate, hope today's higher-than-yesterday's temp is a good sign?

  • @lcking82 I’m using all the immune boosting things I know to hopefully nip it in the bud. Sorry last night didn’t work. Those nights are so frustrating.

@kagesstarshroom glad you had such a nice trip!

@ejoseph16 yay for positive opk! Time to get busy!

@jennifer_louise a trip to Alaska sounds awesome!

@holly321 enjoy your trip to target. Hopefully you can get out with just the brace lol
  • I am back!

    Month/Cycle: 11/11

    CD: 14

    WAYDTGKU: Prenatals, BBT, OPK, Ubiquinol

R/R: New job is going well! It is a very good team. I am excited!

CS/Q: My temps have been crazy this cycle. I've had a cold but I don't know why it was so low a few days ago. Tonight's OPK will be important. If it's positive, that means I will O tomorrow.

  • @emeraldduchess more snow for you? I am sorry. I only like snow if I am in a mountain setting, skiing.

@kbrown2385 I hoe this tickle is nothing. For the last few weeks, it seems like I have a hair stuck in my throat. So far, nothing. Knock on wood.

@kerco925 I feel you. I tend to forget I am in the FW also. I think it's a good sign though. It means we're not obsessing over it.

@MrsJessS Hello! I think it's the 1st time I am tagging you. Glad to have new people!

@holly321 sorry about your knee. But yay for SB!

@jennifer_louise I hope you can go to AK this summer. This sounds like a great trip. And having a longer LP is GREAT. I know it sucks to wait a couple extra days but this hopefully will mean good news for you soon.

@lcking82 you only need one session for it to work. There's still time.

    @ejoseph16 yay for a + OPK!

@kagesstarshroom burning plastic??? Why would anyone do that? Sounds like you had a great vacation minus the motion sickness.

@kerco925 the week is definitely moving at a glacial pace.  I shouldn't complain though since I just had a week off.
    @holly321 enjoy that Starbucks!
@rikiteacup welcome back!  That's awesome that you are so excited about your new job.
@kagesstarshroom it sounds like your trip to Jamaica was a wonderful experience(minus the burning plastic. Ew.)
@jennifer_louise hope AF packs up anf vacates your ute asap. 🤣 I hope you get to plan that trip to Alaska!
@lcking82 hopefully you can get in one more session before O.
@MrsJessS I hope you didn't have to wait too long!
@ejoseph16 I might need to try these OPKs that flash smiley faces.  Are they Clear Blue?

  • @emeraldduchess yes! Clear blue advanced digital. I love them! The smiley face just made it extra joyful! Lol

@emeraldduchess snow, snow, go away...I hope your Wednesday is treating you right. I don’t know if you watch the office, but there’s an episode where Dwight thinks it’s friday when it’s Thursday, so Jim keeps making comments to pretend that it is Thursday in order to have Dwight miss work on friday. I guess if you believe it’s friday strongly enough, you get an early weekend. 🙂
  • @ejoseph16   do you still have the instructions for the clear blue tests??? i conveniently threw mine away......I'm debating whether to use one tomorrow or not....I'd be on CD 12 tomorrow- which is when I used one last month- and got the solid smiley.  However, we are coming off a loss- and I'm still waiting on my dr office to call back with my lab results to confirm that all is back to normal.  I don't want to waste a test on a wonky cycle- so trying to figure out when i should start using the clear blue ones.....but really my question is about the "symbols" or signs you get......you get a flashing test stick or pencil looking thing if you are dipping the test stick into a urine sample?? and that tells you that it's working/processing the sample?? right?? and then it will be either a solid smile or a flashing smile??
  • @MNturnsVA:  I think it depends on if you're using the Advanced or "non-advanced" ones.  The advanced ones give you a blinking picture of the stick ("test ready symbol") while it counts down.  Then if you get an empty circle it's low fertility, a flashing smiley is high fertility (based on climbing estrogen levels), and the solid smiley is Peak fertility (LH surge - displays for 48 hours).

@kbrown2385 Glad the class is going well! I read a couple books to help me, and then I felt like I kept getting stuck on how to follow through with the advice, so that’s great that it’s been helpful!

@kerco925 Glad to hear that the last week or so hasn’t been stressful for ttc!

@MrsJessS What are you doing in the visitor center? Did I miss an earlier comment?

@holly321 I hope your knee feels better soon!

@jennifer_louise Is your bestie @emeraldcity1214? Lol, I don’t hear about ppl moving to Alaska that frequently! But, yes! Plan all the vacations! I’m telling myself that the silver lining of this or next cycle not working is that then we can splurge on pto that won’t be needed for newborn leave.

@lcking82 That sounds so frustrating! I am sorry!

@kagesstarshroom someone burned plastic in a bonfire at my ILs house, and I got irrationally upset about it. I just don’t understand why some ppl do what they do.

@rikiteacup Glad to hear that the new job is working out!!

@mnturnsva yep, after it flashes after stick is inserted, the 3 sec in stream or 15 sec in collected sample

WAYDTGKU: SMEP, temps, opk, pnv, no booze or caffeine

R/R: Still in a funk. Talked to mh last night about a bunch of different things nagging on me. I finally called a fertility clinic to get things rolling as I get closer to 12 mo of trying. Now I need to call insurance to see what’ll get covered. For some reason, all the paperwork that I need to bring in keeps giving me a sinking feeling. I guess it just makes the length of time that we’ve been trying more real. I was never good at being patient, so I definitely need to work on that.

cs/q: still looking like o is a ways off based on cm and OPKs.
  • @begging4abump luckily it only took 7 minutes! So MH was National Guard before Active Duty. I still have my dependent ID from the National Guard. It works fine but has been deactivated so it doesn’t scan places. So now they put in card scanners at the gates and are confiscating cards that don’t scan. And the next ID card appointment available isn’t until the 19th of March. So freaking convenient. So yeah. Moral of an excessively long story is that I had to get a visitor pass so I don’t get my ID confiscated
  • @begging4abump  I'm glad you put a call into the dr office!! I tried to see it as I was prepared and had lots of information to share with the fertility dr when I went in 2015, but I can see how it would be overwhelming and cause some more "realness" to be associated with it and the time line that you are in.  I also wanted to say- there are so many things to be said for getting a 2nd opinion!! Especially when it comes to this dept!! The first dr I saw did an HSG? I think is what it's called- the x-ray of your ovaries and all that with the dye to make sure there weren't any issues there.  We also did a sperm test on my hubby- and that was fine.  That dr immediately said our only option was IUI- and it was unexplained infertility.  My hubby flipped- he was like we've only been trying and like actively trying for 6 months- and whose to say we got the timing right for the 1st 3 months because I was still figuring all this stuff out about the timing and all that.  I went to see a different dr- it was a night and day experience. The 2nd dr was open to doing a post coital test- which he said was old school and didn't get used as much- but could still share some good information.  so i'm glad to see you've made the first initial steps in that direction so that if you aren't happy with the first one you see, you aren't wasting more time necessarily going to see someone else.
  • @MrsJessS well, glad to hear that you got it all worked out, and under 10 minutes! They really make you have to figure this stuff out! @MNturnsVA Thanks. I could see me blowing one dr’s opinion way out of proportion, so it’s definitely important for me to remember I can get a second opinion. There’s no sa on the first visit at this place, but I’m not entirely sure what exactly happens at the initial visit.
  • @begging4abump   at both of the specialists I saw the initial visit was just a bunch of talking, I think the 1st one I saw did a urine test and maybe a blood draw??? but I can't remember what for because it was a few years ago.  we scheduled the HSG as a just to do it kind of thing- I had really good insurance and I think the timing was right in my cycle in the time frame you want to do them? so it worked out that way.  The 2nd dr was the one who actually asked me lots of questions about my cycle.  I know the 1st dr did- but it was his assistant that did most of the talking before I even saw the dr- and then I don't think he really asked me much or went into too much with me about the information I provided.  The 2nd dr asked me pretty much ALL the questions, and more and different questions than the 1st one did- from what I remember.  So that made me feel better too because it was just such a different experience.  I felt WAY more confident with the 2nd dr than the 1st and that he had our best interest in mind. Sorry you are potentially going down this road, but hopefully it will provide some answers for you   <3

Lurking- @begging4abump at my first appointment, it was mostly just talking. The doctor ordered some bloodwork (can’t remember all of the top of my head, but I know AMH and TSH were among that tested) and told us to schedule a day to do a SA for DH. We had gotten referred to that RE and they had an opening around 9 months of trying which I felt was too early, so we didn’t go back for more treatment after that initial appointment. Wish I could help more! We’re going to a new RE in April so maybe we can be buddies haha.

ETA I also got blood drawn for genetic testing but that was just something they asked if I was interesting. I said sure why not considering I’m adopted and have no idea. I don’t think that’s typical though.
  • @b_1029 Thanks! Hearing about others’ visits helps. I don’t know why exactly I’m so nervous. I just feel extra jittery thinking about it. I currently have an appointment at the start of month 11, but I still need to call my insurance to find out if I need to wait the full 12 months for coverage.
