Ironic Question

We are finishing up our routine testing this month for my first IVF round. Since our protocol doesn’t start until the first day of my next period (27 days!) do we still try naturally to get pregnant on our own or wait for the protocol? I’m advanced age and nervous about egg quality after reading too much. I start a clomid test this week too. I feel dumb asking this question, but curious if others have debated it too.

I would ask your doctor. Ours was very specific on when we could/should try and when they absolutely didn’t want us to for various reasons. Good luck on your first round!
