QOTW: I love foxes (I have one tattoo'ed on my arm), so that'd be cool.
QOTW: If you could encounter any animal in the wild (safely that is lol), what animal would it be?
I'd love to encounter whales or dolphins. I've been whale watching before, but to get really close, swim with them, and to touch them would be amazing.
AFM, IUI #3 was on Saturday. Idk how it happened, but post-spern wash motile sperm was 17 mil this time instead of 3.4 and 3.7 like the first 2. Must be the vitamins I finally got DH to take on a regular basis. I'm super hopeful it will work this time around, but I'm also trying to tell myself to not count on it so much and to stop getting ahead of myself. I've already thought about how we could do the belly progression photos. *Sigh* but 5 times more chances for it to work!!

@inthewoods23 I saw your comments about YHs numbers in TTGP and wow! What a tremendous difference! I hope that that's all it takes!
Afm... had my 3rd beta this morning. They have skyrocketed to 19,356. I was blown away by that number. I'm still too scared to look back at my numbers from previous but I feel like this is the highest they have been at this stage (5+5). US is scheduled for 3/6.

@inthewoods23 - that’s great to hear about YH’s sperm motility!! I get you with trying not to be hopeful, but still succumbing to day dreaming and such. I think it’s almost impossible to balance the hope and trying to be grounded in the present. However, I am really hopeful that this good news will be the ticket to success! When do you go in for testing?
@chiblackhawkie - I hope you get a response soon from your clinic in regards to the test results. Hopefully you can start IUI soon as well - that would be great if everything could line up so you could start IUI with this upcoming cycle!
@cigaline - any update on when you can be seen by your clinic to start taking about IUI?
AFM: AF arrived last week and I’m on my fourth day of Letrozole. The earliest I could get seen by my RE is April 2nd due to her being away for most of March. So we most likely will have one more cycle after this one and then will start IUI. I’m nervous that my RE is going to want to do retests, because I just want to get going here! I am actually okay with having one more cycle before being seen because DH and I have just decided to take that cycle off as a break. So that’s the plan for now.
QOTW: I’m totally in the same boat as you @inthewoods23 about wanting to see and swim with whales! I’ve never been whale watching, but definitely have it as something on my bucket list!
The RE might not ask you to retest if it's been recently done. That may also depend if the RE is part of the same healthcare group as your OB. My RE had access to my HSG results from my OB so I didn't need to do one with her. I know in the past year they've tested me 2 or 3 times for STDs though.... Pretty sure if I wasn't infected then, I wouldn't be now, especially since DH is the only person I've been with! But that was part of all the additionally things I've never been tested for.

Since it was my RE who scheduled the HSG and STD, etc blood work, I’m hoping she won’t ask for it again. It was done last October I think. Yeah, it is kind of stupid the whole STD testing; like if we can both confirm that we’ve just been together, it would be nice if they could just skip all that retesting. But I guess they won’t take your word for granted on that type of thing.
So updates on me. Finally recovered from my surgery, it took three weeks but since then I've been fine. Happy to report that my first AF post-surgery was normal! After the first surgery, every month was super painful and heavy, so I was really dreading it. Such a relief to just have the usual cramps that I could handle with pamprin. On CD23 I'm scheduled for a blood test to confirm ovulation but otherwise I don't have anything else for a few months.
Going forward, DH and I decided to stay benched until June. It's a little hard to wait but honestly, not thinking about TTC constantly has been a welcome relief. After 3.5 years of trying I think a break is healthy. The one thing I am thinking about is researching supplements for both of us so we can start taking them 3 months before we get back to TTC. Since the OB said try for six months and then move on to IVF, I want to do everything I can to give us the best chance. So I'm looking at supplements to boost my egg health and Dh's low sperm count/motility/morphology. Does anyone have specific recommendations? @inthewoods23 you mentioned that YH boosted his count, was it just a normal men's vitamin he took or a specific fertility blend? My surgeon said her husband used ProXeed but from what I've seen online it's not as highly rated as FertilAid for Men.
QOTW: This will sound weird, but I love sharks and I want to see them in the wild. Top of my list are whale sharks and great white sharks. I have actually been in a tank with whale sharks at the Georgia Aquarium, which was amazing, but not quite the same as in the wild. As for great whites, I was in a diving cage once for a tour that was supposed to include great whites but there were no sharks! All we saw was a juvenile gray whale. I can say that being in the water with a whale is totally different from watching them on a boat. They're so much bigger in person and it made me feel really small.

@prpl11butterfly Great news re the exploding beta numbers! Thinking of you in this nerve-wracking but exciting time and really hoping for a great scan :-)
@inthewoods23 Really happy for you about the post-wash numbers! That sounds really promising and got lots of fingers crossed for you.
@chiblackhawkie if AF has arrived, hope you’re able to move on to IUI soon. I’m not sure how much there is to set up before the cycle starts and if there are meds to be taken from day 1?
@sincethelastday Sorry to hear that AF was true to form :-( that means that we must still be on pretty much the same cycle though?
@sailorariel Glad to hear things are a bit better for you. DH took Condensyl for 6 months which was supposed to help with DNA decondensation but I’m not sure if it’s available outside France and we haven’t yet seen any evidence of the benefits ;-)
AFM, DH has got his tests booked in for next week (after ovulation seemed sensible) and I should be able to get mine done within the next week too. Annoyingly though, although our consultant has availability in 2 weeks, we probably won’t have the test results, which means we won’t be able to see her until the week after, which will probably be day 3 or so of my next cycle... so I assume we’ll then have to wait another month. Suppose it’s not a big deal, I’m just beginning to be more and more aware of my age and the chances of being able to have 2 children seem to be slipping away :-( (yes, at this stage I probably shouldn’t be greedy and thinking about more than one but we’re both from small families and it’s likely our future child would have only 1 cousin, which seems rather sad. So it seems all the more important to me for there to be at least 2... ;-)
Anyway, so now entering the fertile period so no time for moping, need to get busy!
QOTW: not sure about this although I do love animals... agree dolphins would be pretty exciting, but anything slightly exotic would be amazing. Our main source of excitement at the moment is the red squirrels that periodically make an appearance in our garden - there are practically none in England (and not many here) so seeing one is a special event!
I hope with those numbers this is the month for you!
@sailorariel Good to see your body is slowly starting to work as it should! I also think I'm going to try to convince my husband to start taking some kind of vitamin to help our chances.
@sincethelastday Hopefully you don't need to repeat blood tests and can get into the swing of things!
@cigaline I don't think you're greedy at all! Whether you have 0 or 1 kids, it's still frustrating to have to wait and wait for your chance for a new loved one.
AFM: Went in for my US today and they found a cyst. I'm being put on birth control and was told to come in 3 weeks from now to check in on it's progress, hoping it goes away on its on.
I'm very frustrated, especially when I wanted to start IUI last cycle. I maybe taking a hiatus from the board until we get things going again. I do want you ladies to know that I'm keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers... Hoping for your success!
