PAIF Check In w/o 1/31

I hope it's okay I am starting this thread but I saw it in August BMB and thought maybe others would like it too. I copied the format from them.

Note: This thread will include discussion of infertility and loss. If these topics are triggering for you, please take care of yourself while reading and posting here.

This thread is for those of us who went through infertility testing and treatments before becoming pregnant. Many of us have had different struggles to get to this place and face different anxiety and concerns now. This thread is for us to support each other, and we hope it will be a safe space.  please feel free to post here at any time during the week, whether for good news or bad. Consider this an ongoing conversation.

This thread is for those who have experienced infertility. The struggles we discuss may or may not apply to those who became pregnant easily. If you have not experienced infertility, please be considerate and sensitive if you feel the need to post in this thread.

Any symptoms? My symptoms are pretty light, sore boobs, light cramps that come and go

Rant/Rave? I'm really starting to get nervous about my next appt. I just want to know everything is okay and baby is growing appropriately. I was so excited to see and hear the HB but then my RE said to be cautious cause it's a little slow and baby was measuring a few days behind.

Next appointment? Follow up U/S is on 2/6 to check for growth.

    Questions? not right now

GTKY: In honor of the upcoming Super Bowl, who is your favorite football team?
I'm born and raised in NY, Giants fan for life. Go big blue!

How far along are you? 5w3d

    Any symptoms?
None besides sore boobs but even they aren’t too bad.

    Rant/Rave?
It’s hard for me to explain the anxiety that I’m having. I feel like because we tried for so long and went through everything we did I’m just expecting something else to go wrong. Anyone who’s ever TTC for a couple months knows what type of emotional roller coaster it is. Maybe I just have whiplash from the ride…

    Next appointment?
We had our first US yesterday and saw the gestational sac and yolk sac. We’ll go back in in 2 weeks and then hopefully be released by our RE.

    Questions?
Anyone else taking progesterone? I was hoping my RE would test my progesterone and cut my dose down at the very least. But no, I’m continuing until week 8 no matter what. Oh well.

GTKY: In honor of the upcoming Super Bowl, who is your favorite football team?
    Packers!

@hanshotfirst77 Ugh I’m so sorry your RE said that. It seems like they are putting undue stress on you. A few days behind is nothing at this point. The little bean is so small that just getting the wrong angle on the US could cause you to measure behind but other angles could show you ahead. I’m sorry your RE said that. I’ll keep my FX for you anyways.

    How far along are you?
    5+1wks :)

    Any symptoms?
Heartburn like woah (it's waking me up at night!), tender breasts, and occasional very mild cramping

    Rant/Rave?
Still waiting to hear back from Insurance on their approving my progesterone. UGH.

    Next appointment?
Feb 11th will be my first (and only, if there are no problems) ultrasound (and last appointment assuming all goes well!) with the RE. I'll miss my RE and their office; they're wonderful!

    Questions?
    Any other IVF'ers here?

@LJMoon6 -- Yup, I'm on progesterone. It's 100% normal to not reduce your dose; my understanding is that lowering your dose could lead to miscarriage. I've got to stay on mine until 10wks, ugh.

@LJMoon6 Thanks for saying that.  Ever since my appt I have been googling things and only really finding bad news. It's nice to hear that it could have just been the angle or totally normal or something. I am with you on the anxiety. It feels like I am just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

@soralette I feel you on going to miss my RE. I have been with him for so long and he always seems so invested in my journey, I know it will be hard to say goodbye and go to my OB. But I won't miss having to go to my clinic cause its so far away lol.

Well I started spotting last night. I called the on-call nurse who told me to rest and drink lots of water and call back first thing this morning. Instead of waiting to see me until my next appt Wednesday, they are squeezing me in today. The nurses both told me and I know, that spotting can be totally normal. But I'm still freaked out and so glad they will see me today. Just hoping and praying everything is alright.

Hope it’s ok to play here. I had 3 years of treatment including medicated TI, medicated IUI, injectable IUI, and ultimately donor embryo.

We have one living child from donor embryo after three years of failed treatments and this BFP was without treatments. But all the IF feelings/anxiety/crazy thoughts have come flooding back.
