So the pain I thought was my ribs this entire time is actually my upper abs separating. Yay. Also reeeeally over my heart racing for no reason whatsoever.
Indigestion, heartburn, and reflux. The worst part of my first pregnancy coming back. Also seriously if anyone has tips on how to get one babe out of my ribs I'll love you forever.
@MRDCle you can take prilosec or even a prescription proton-pump inhibitor. They are considered safe for pregnancy. I re-started mine this week and it has helped with the reflux sooooo much. I don't know if you drink Caffeine, but I do find that gets my baby to move. I also find that he moves a lot more when I'm fairly still. Mom moving around a lot tends to lull them to sleep.
I've been whining about this on the randoms thread, but my main symptom recently is just debilitating exhaustion.
I’m right there with you when it comes to the debilitating exhaustion. Mine always hits during the day and I find myself face first down snoozing. At night I’m up like an owl or waking up every hour on the hour. I have zero energy.
My pelvis is sooo loose and feels so unstable. When I sit in a chair, legs out in front with my ankles crossed and I push my feet against each other in opposite directions (does that make sense...?) I can feel my pubis symp move. By the end of the day my tailbone and SI joints are just screaming. I'm glad everything is loosening up so baby has room to come out but I'm not sure how I'm going to walk for the next couple of months.

@professormama so far I've just been managing it with taking a Pepcid Complete either before bed or just as needed through the day. If that stops working I'll be moving on to something more serious, ha. I used to take omeprazole (which I think is generic Prilosec) daily so maybe I can just hop back on that.
And in terms of moving - its more that each day when he's NOT moving, he's wedged transverse in my ribcage, and sitting up all day at my desk compresses my torso. I need to get better about stretching throughout the day to give him more space.
@MRDCle I'm in the same boat with the baby in the ribs. Honestly, I lean back and physically push the baby downward with my hands. Its not perfect but it can usually give me a few minutes of relief!
For me the biggest symptom is the constant pain really from pelvis to ribs. I have a SUPER short torso, but am overall pretty tall, and I think the baby is pretty long too. So it feels like there's no room for her to go... Also, can decreased tolerance for other people's BS / increased levels of sarcasm be considered a pregnancy symptom?

My heartburn and reflux keeps waking me up at night. I can just roll over and find a new position when I have other aches and pains but there's no relief for this incessant burning and fire.
@lilpotatomama I think mine are too. I didn’t get diastasis recti with DD but I’m pretty positive all my muscles are separating and it feels like they’re tearing. Yikes. It really hurts. And my skin is painfully stretching. I think everything is gonna be stretched much worse this time around than last time.
Also lately he’s been pushing hard enough it feels like he’s pushing muscle in between my ribs or something and it really hurts too. I have to get down in my knees and hammock him to get him out of there.
Overall just exhaustion, reflux, back pain. Three more months! Lol.
My weird symptoms include waking up in the middle of the night and in the morning with the WORST dry mouth and throat ever. Also, my teeth and gums hurt way bad the last week or so... So weird. I've got a pretty long torso, so I'm not too terribly uncomfortable in that department yet! But I will join in on the crazy exhaustion. Literally holding my eyes open all. The. Time.
@frenchfrymama Have you looked into getting a humidifier? Especially with the winter air, that happens to me too if DH and I forget to turn ours on at night. Honeywell makes a nice one that has a uv light in it to keep the tank/mist clean.
It’s not particularly unpleasant, but the baby likes to poke/kick me along my sides and it really kind of tickles and feels weird. Otherwise she’s happy to chill on my bladder. I’ve got no idea which way she’s oriented because it feels like she’s all over the place.
@MRDCle usually if I lay on my side and DH rubs by back I can get baby to move out.
Reflux and hunger are new symptoms I have. But literally nothing sounds good to eat and I’m trying not to eat too horrible before my 3 hour glucose on Friday. Waiting to hear back from the doctor to see if I have another UTI or Bladder infection, because I literally pee every 10 min and have blood in my urine. Also PT is suppose to call to schedule for my pubic bone separation. However my entire state is shutdown for this winter storm so I don’t think I’ll be hearing back from anyone soon
@frenchfrymama My torso is pretty long as well, so I luckily haven't experienced anything too uncomfortable (yet) in terms of baby pushing all up in my space. But I still have this wonderful reflux! I can't remember what thread and who said it before, but I literally just throw up in my mouth at least a couple times a day. Honestly, though, I'll take that over heartburn - which I do get from time to time and I hate it! I have a new symptom that popped up a few days ago. My hands are starting to tingle - they're not really going numb and I hope that doesn't happen, but there's definitely some nerve pinching going on. At night I have woken up to my hand(s) completely numb which is weird. And yes, I'm exhausted and tossing and turning most nights. Ah, the joy.
Same on heartburn and reflux. I put one leg forward and bent down to get into the fridge the other day and felt my pubic bones separating! Creepy.
Anyone else with ankle swelling? I’ve never had problems with my joints but I must’ve done something to my left ankle and now it won’t stop being swollen. Wrists get swollen by the end of the day too, and I’ve had my hands go numb from carpal tunnel a few times. No one tells you all these details before you get knocked up...
@mermaidca Yeah, I have read that so I'm not concerned. It's just so weird! I just hope it doesn't get too bad because I work in a lab, and if my hands are numb that will affect both patient safety and my safety!
@frenchfrymama I second @lin0442’s humidifier suggestion. I got a pretty nice one when I started having nosebleeds in October and it’s held up really well, and should be good to use for baby!
@HGRich it’s awful, and I’m frustrated. I’m trying not to think about what postpartum will be like, dealing with this, but I hope it isn’t painful after too.
Also, I too can no longer deal with BS anymore. I may not SAY much, but I’m pretty sure people can read how I’m feeling all over my face.
@MRDCle I used an ice pack the other day to convince baby to get outta there. My friend also shared using an ice pack and a heat pack to truly motivate some movement.
@kayceebaby1 that worked for about 24 hours one day (Ice up high heat down low) but he moved back the next day when I was at work! He’s a stubborn little man.
I lost my wrist brace in a store. Went back the next day to ask if anyone found it. Nope. I've been without it since Monday. No bueno. Both my wrists have CT now. One worse than the other. No ankle swelling though.
Baby is still not giving me grief in the ribs. Yaaay. Not feeling especially short of breath, either. 60ish days to go. Yeah, I'm counting down to the post-EDD induction date, that's 70.
1st trimester nausea and vomiting has come back, I cant freaking believe it and I am so pissed. No food looks good and when I do eat, it either leaves a nasty after taste in my mouth or a vomit it up.
@rennie1108 Its horrible. I cant even drink my morning coffee so im absolutely miserable all day at work. Im talking to my doctor about it tomorrow at my appointment.
@snowhite12 Yeah, I definitely would. I know if my reflux gets any worse, I'm getting meds for it! I only very recently started developing a taste for coffee again. But I haven't been drinking it much because, well, heartburn sucks.
All of the congestion (can't even tell if it's a cold or just pregnancy), coughing and peeing myself, migraines again, hip pain if I sleep wrong, super bad anxiety...
I'm sure some of it are those magical post-birth hormones making me forget, but I really don't remember being this miserable with DS1. Ten weeks to go feels like forever .
@ everyone with morning sickness issues - is it sudden nausea still or do you think it’s an amount/type of food issue? I’ve definitely been noticing that too much food makes me feel sick and scaling down my meals/turning into a grazer in order to accommodate that.
@lyse01 For me it was not an amount of food issue. I had a small protein shake and about a cup of cereal. Then the sickness came about 90 minutes later
Re: Symptoms 1/30
My hips hurt, especially the left side, and I walk with a limp almost all.the.time.
