DS1’s preschool is delayed today, so obviously this means I just called out for the day lol. He’ll be on the bus in about an hour, and then I’m lounging and packing for our move. If only the builder would tell us when our house will be done 😪

GL to everyone in this Polar Vortex! Jeeze! It's going to be 57 degrees here today and that's too cold for me. I would turn into an ice sculpture if I had to deal with negative fifty!

I sliced my finger cutting my bagel in half this morning. The bleeding finally stopped, but I am so mad at myself because right before I cut myself I thought, "You know, you should probably move your finger." *facepalm*

@elle-0409 we’re moving about 35 minutes away. Our daycare and DS1’s preschool will all stay the same (he’s in an integrated/inclusion program so he’s safe since we chose a program that is accepted by both our current county and new one), but it’s so much more convenient. We signed the contract to build almost 11 months ago and the lack of communication is a major source of frustration for us. The house should have been done in the fall 🤦🏼‍♀️

I sliced my finger a few months ago like that. I was so mad! Like, I knew to move my finger but didn’t do it in time. Epic fail 👎🏻

@lillywonderland LOL! Luckily, I have yet to experience "avocado hands" and will do my best to delay that particular adventure for as long as possible.

@lillywonderland, aww you are so sweet. I miss you a buttload and a half too! Life is good, and being KU is great. I don't really have symptoms yet, other than maybe insomnia. How about you?? How many weeks are you now?

And LOL to triplets!! Did you ever catch the episode early in the series when Leslie goes on a date with an MRI technician? He gives her a free MRI during their date (creepy!!) and tells her her ute is great and she should go for triplets right off the bat.

I rewatched the series recently, and I freaked out at this scene! Total foreshadowing!! But in answer to your question, NO, I do not anticipate triplets 😂

I seriously don't think I could do -50.  I moved from Colorado to Texas for a reason, well multiple reasons but the +50 degree winters were one of them.  Stay warm friends!! 

I have an OBGYN appointment tomorrow.  I made it for 10:30am so I could sleep in.    I'm really-really looking forward to sleeping tomorrow.  It's pretty much all I can daydream about today.

@galentine I vaguely remember that episode. There’s some clever writers on that show!!! 😜 I’m 7wks today (woo!) and I have no symptoms other than tiredness and no AF, LOL. Thank godness for that, I hate tampons and pads and all that sh*t. I didn’t have any MS with my son, so I’m not anticipating it to show up at my door soon (but I did have tailbone pain ~8-10wks). I was that super annoying PG girl who loooooved pregnancy and had the best time ever and it was great!! Pls don’t hate me, lol!

Hi all! I just intro'd above. I'm currently in the process of trying to find childcare for my daughter 2 days per week and it seems IMPOSSIBLE. I'm so stressed about this!

Snow over here, too. Since we live right through a small patch of forest away from DC, I regularly take friends of DD1 home with us at pick up. Like every Wednesday a different friend will come along and play at our place until their parents come. This way DD1 is occupied and I can collect brownie points for some reciprocal babysitting on date nights or similar. Bonus? With all the snow, everyone was outside until pickup and nice and tired for bedtime.

Definitely makes up for the days where I am seriously debating sealing off the playroom and just throwing in some goldfish crackers every half hour.

Hi! I introed on TTGP and you were really kind and welcoming and then I never came back lol. In my defence, I introed and then went on a 5 cruise and then it was thanksgiving, and then it was christmas, and I just never had a chance to particpate the way I would have liked so I just decided to fade quietly into the background lol. So glad to see you got your BFP! 

Edit: Forgot something I wanted to say. Is it too early to blame pregnancy brain?

My randoms is that I am hosting a Friends themed baby shower for my sister in law this weekend, and I am super excited about it. Been going nuts with making decorations for difference episode references. I can’t decide if my favorite thing I made is a slip cover for the chair she will open her gifts in that looks like the central perk couch, or the fake TV guide addressed to miss chanandler bong 15 yemen rd, Yemen.

@ceclarlinetlo Oh my gosh, that baby shower sounds AMAZING! I’ve been binging the show (again) and only feel slightly bad that I should be doing dishes instead of watching “The One Where No One’s Ready” and mobile bumping.

I‘m enjoying the quiet before the storm that is my children and having my measly two cups of coffee. 

I miss alcohol. The day I got my positive (because I’m that SS who has higher hcg at night), I stocked up with the leinenkugel winter porter and now I have 3 cases sitting in my garage. I’m hoping they hold flavor for 9 months 🙈

Does anyone else play Pokémon go?... maybe I should have saved this for tomorrow’s FFFC. Oh well

i’m just full of randoms today.

1. I will have unwrapped tootsie rolls for mocklate
2. I am going to hide a ring in some lasagna soup and who ever gets it in their bowl wins a shower prize
3. I am making Rachel's English trifle with fake peas  (lime green sixlets) and ground beef (chocolate rice crispy treats)
4. I am going to make meatball sliders for a reference to Joey's meatball sub
5. I am also going to hide a copy of Little Women in the freezer (can't find The Shining booo!) and Ross' moist maker sandwich in the refrigerator. 
6. The Geller Cup pictured below is going to be the prize for winning trivia (which will be on a white board like in the episode they fight over the lease to the apartment. 
7. I am going to decorate with cups like when Phoebe was in charge of cups and ice for Rachel's surprise party.
8. The purple door pictured below is going to be a photo booth area. I bought some printable props off etsy, but I am also going to have the cup fez phoebe wears and some old shirts and ties sewn (for Could I BE wearing anymore clothes?!)

It was “the one where SIL has a baby” lol. And it also said “OH...MY...GOD...SIL and DH have found their lobsters and are expecting baby T. Please join us for a Friends themed shower to celebrate his impending arrival” 

I probably only like friends half as much as her (I am a parks and rec girl, like yourself lol) but I have had SO much fun putting this together. I did an a similarly over the top Harry Potter party for Halloween this year. I think I have found a niche in pop culture themed parties lol. But HP and Friends will be tough to beat so I am thinking about retiring while on top 😂

This autographed photo of Viktor Krum was the prize for catching the golden snitch I hid. I made our costumes too. DS was Dobby and I was Hermione promoting SPEW. DH was a generic gryffindor because I ran out of time lol.

@ceclarlinetlo Oh my gosh, that HP theme is EPIC! I live close to Universal Studios and have so much Harry Potter merchandise it's ridiculous. I figure that once I get huge in this pregnancy, I'll just wear my Gryffindor robe everywhere.

We went to HP world this past April and it was THE BEST. I am such a hufflepuff lol. I hate that the books make it out to be bad to be a Hufflepuff. I tried to deny it forever, and pass as a Ravenclaw,  but I finally caved and accepted my true house. I really do value loyalty above the other house characteristics and I am hard-working to a fault.

I would be happy to! I have no idea how but I’ll have some time to figure it out here in a little bit. Its been 2 years since I have “bumped” because we moved over to a fb group after the babies came, and spoilering pics/gifs is new to me. I was wondering why people were putting gifs as spoilers but that makes a lot of sense! 

Edit to add: OK I figured it out thanks to the guide in the board organization thread so thanks for whoever typed that up! Made it super easy. 

Now the question is - is there a way to keep the pics from being enormous in the first place? I feel like if someone clicks to see, it would still struggle to load if their connection is slow?
