I know it is early, but I thought this would be a fun one to start. I am always looking for good deals so I'll share what I find!
A few things - -- Amazon and Walmart have a free welcome boxes if you create a registry with them. I believe BabyList does too. -- Honest Company is having a BOGO sale right now on their subscription service. Some of you mamas with little ones already might be able to use it. Or if you want to start stock piling diapers and wipes.
I may or may not have already created a registry but I'm keeping it private so people can't see it haha. I want to buy things and be excited but I know how heartbreaking it is to have to get rid of things when things don't last
Love the free registry bags. I've done the ones at Buy Buy Baby and Target. The Amazon one I believe you have to put something on your registry from each category, buy something off it, then you can get their box.
Target doesn't notate when you pick up their registry welcome bag. You can pick it up at any Target location. Do what you will with that information. Currently there's a 50% off Starbucks coupon in mine.
I don't suggest stockpiling a particular brand of diapers you can't return/exchange. You never know what kind of diaper brand your baby may leak out of or have a reaction to (my dd can only use pampers and water wipes)
The Owlet Smart Sock Baby Monitor is the Amazon deal of the day today. $90 off! Besides Black Friday, I doubt it will be this low again. It is also FSA/HSA eligible.
@nomangos23 I wasn't expecting that either. I have a couple of friends that love them. I am still going to get one, but I decided to wait until closer to my due date so I can return it if necessary.
@nomangos23 I decided to wait too. Tho I know deep down I’ll end up buying one closer to the end anyway. Bc of our history we qualify for a hospital grade apnea monitor thru insurance for the first 3 months, so (assuming it’s not wildly invasive and entirely prevents sleep in its nature?) I am thinking we’ll get and use that at first.
@mommyshark13 I love kohls. I'm a ftm so I have nothing to start with here. I had $10 Kohls cash and a $10 off $30 baby/maternity coupon. It was still pretty early so I was afraid to buy anything baby related but I walk in and they have a maternity clearance rack. I mean $4 for Jean shorts and capris. I got 15 pieces, including a sweat jacket for a grand total of $30!
@cheshyre319 I got one a few months back and it was ok. A bottle, pacifier, some samples, a onesie and a lovey. Not sure what’s been in them in the past though!

@cheshyre319 I got one last year. It had a bottle, pacifier, sunhat, and then a bunch of samples. I would say it was just ok too. That being said, it was basically free, so I'm cool with it.
@cheshyre319 I got one a month ago, and it had a bottle, a swaddle and a bunch of samples - it was OK; I think it was fairly comparable to the one I got with DS two or so years ago.
@themadcamel It was so weird. My friend was telling me about how much they love their Snoo and that they got a deal for $400 off. Then a few hours later an Instagram ad pops up for $400 off. I swear my phone was listening. But yes, I think they have sales pretty often. We ended up buying it. It's nice because it won't ship until right before our due date, so we will still get the 30 day warranty. Maybe follow them on Instagram, since that is how I saw it?
I would imagine the snoo makes it hard to transition the baby to the crib. Did anyone use it with any of their kids and have this problem? I think we are going to use the halo again this time around.
@kgg2241@themadcamel - now I'm intrigued by this Snoo business. Did you buy or rent? (Why buy, versus rent, if you bought?) @septoctkids it looks like it has a 'weaning option' to help transition to crib? I've never used or seen one in real life but, definitely curious.
@septoctkids FTM, so no real experience, but I did a bit of research and it doesn't sound like a big problem. Snoo and Taking Cara of Babies both have blog posts on how to make the transition. Although I guess we will see!
@kiddiesandkitties We bought it because I have two sisters trying to get pregnant, so I know it will get used for (hopefully) several more babies. Plus, we can always sell it later if we need to.
@kiddiesandkitties we’re going to buy it if I can snag it on sale. The cost of renting it for six months and buying it at a discount is comparable. If I buy it, at least I’ll be able to sell it. @septoctkids DH said, “sleep is priceless.” He was sold on the idea as soon as he found out he could potentially get more sleep. @kgg2241 I’m totally convinced that our phones and Alexa are listening to EVERYTHING
@themadcamel haha I like his thinking! Our first did well in the bassinet we had so we are going to stick with it. Fingers crossed! Haha. On another note.. they totally are! My husband won’t allow any Alexa type products in our house for this reason lol.
Just got the Target baby registry bag today and I was happy with it. It had a Dr Brown & Avendt bottle, Nuk paci, Water wipes, Honest wipes & diapers, some creams & soaps and lot of awesome coupons. I thought about making a video on it and the amazon box on my mommy channel cuz I personally was curious and like watching videos like that lol.
Incase you’re planning on using Seventh Gen diapers & wipes, Vitacost has 20% off all seventh Gen products...plus if you’ve never ordered with them, they usually have a % off coupon. Also a great time to buy prenatals...multiple brands on sale.
Not sure if this has been posted somewhere else yet but Target has a carseat trade in right now until 5/4. Bring in an old car seat to recycle and save 20% on a new one!
I’m not sure if this is really a deal, but if anyone in here qualifies for WIC, your county may also have a free car seat program. Mine does and the only requirement is you are on WIC. You can even get one for multiple children.
Another thing i learned is if you if you don’t qualify for WIC, you can apply while you’re on maternity leave and not have to report your income. Assuming your partner doesn’t make too much on their own, you’ll qualify.
@kgg2241 does it apply to their off brand products? ... planning on purchasing the PBK edition of the carseat we're eyeing - but I assume they'd be excluded from sales.
@kiddiesandkitties I'm not totally sure. I was curious of it worked on the Uppa carseat, so I just went through checkout to enter the code and it didn't work.

I also got a gift bag full of goodies/coupons when I got some jeans at Motherhood Maternity.
Also, you can get free samples of Enfamil and Similac if you sign up on their websites.
