BTDT Moms— When did you go in to labor?

This is just for fun since there’s no way to really tell when you’ll go in to labor unless you have a planned c/ induction. Moms with several kids— how many weeks were you when you went into labor with your LOs? 
I was 39 weeks with DS last time and MH keeps telling me it’d be more convenient if this one came at 40 *eys roll*

38+5 after PTL at 24. Had been dilated for a long time, water broke and baby out within 6 hours or something, it was crazy fast. Hoping to make it til 39 weeks this time!

41+2. DD1 took her sweet time in picking a birthdate, but labor was fairly quick. Woke up with contractions/cramps at 3am and had baby with maybe 1 hour of pushing by 6pm. Water didn't break until the poor OB checking me at 8cm busted the bag all over herself. Hopefully DD2 won't wait quite as long to make her appearance.

40 weeks+ 3 days was the birthdate, but labor started at 40+2. I was only dilated 3 cm when I checked in and I wasn’t really in a lot of pain, but I had a fever and they ended up breaking my water because of that.

39+3, contractions started in the middle of the night. We aired on the side of caution (due to GBS+ and traffic concerns) and got to the hospital too early. 20 hours later DS joined us!

Labour started at 40 + 3 around 4pm and I had DD the next day at 4:30pm, so birth date was 40 + 4

I'll be watching for fun. I was induced with DD1 and it is looking like I could actually make it to going naturally this time.

I unfortunately (or fortunately) had a scheduled C/S with my first due to failure to progress...i was not dialating/effacing/anything during my weekly checks so doc decided to schedule at 39 weeks exactly. Commenting bc as of now i have a schedule date for this one...but who knows how nature works! This pregnancy has been a bit different from the first so we will see.  I'm still excited for the countdown. and enjoy hearing you all's stories!

Never went into labor on my own. Was induced with a foley bulb at 41 weeks, labored naturally for 24 hours, got stuck in transition for hours, leading to an epidural, pushed for hours with no progress, and finally my giant baby girl was born via c-section at 41+2. 

Life lesson for me: Labor is unpredictable 🤣

Contractions started at 38W6D around 1am, water broke at home at 3pm, went to hospital at 6pm. Was a 4cm when I checked in. Got epidural at 1am when I was at 8-9cm. Slept for awhile then pushed from 9am-11am. C-section due to failure to descend, so he was born at 39W exactly. One of the hardest and easily the best day of my life

My water broke at 2:00 AM when I was 40+4. I was having mild contractions but didn't progress so they induced me around 1:00 that afternoon. At about noon the following day I was still only 4cm despite having stacked contractions pretty much every 2-3 minutes, so I got an epidural. Blood pressure crashed, they stopped labor, put me on epinephrine to stabilize me, the started the pitocin back up maybe around 5:00 PM? By 7:00 I was fully dilated (finally) and DS was born about 8:00 after an hour of pushing. 

As @maggiemadeit said, labor is unpredictable.

I had an appointment with the midwife at 39w6d, she said I was not dilated at all and I should consider acupuncture. The same day I scheduled an appointment. And then at 40w exactly my water broke at 3am! I had to cancel my acupuncture appointment  DS was born the next day after 23h of labor (sped-up with Pitocin because of meconium in the water, plus antibiotics for GBS, plus epidural when I was at 8cm, plus 3h of pushing, etc.). Hoping for a quicker labor this time with less interventions.

My water broke the evening of four days before my due date. So 39+3, I guess? Funnily enough, that was my original due date before it was adjusted to take into account my long cycles. She was born the next morning.

My water broke the morning of 39+3. I felt a pop as I got of bed but questioned it all day! ...Spent the day very slightly leaking but no contractions. Went to the hospital that night and they confirmed my water broke and DS was born 38 hours later a few days early at 39+4

4 pregnancies and I started laboring naturally only once!  39 weeks 6 days (and like @meggyme water didn't break until poor nurse tried to check me and I was at 6cm). She was born 2 hrs before her due date.
Next time I was induced with water breaking (nothing happened, had to touch me with pitocin) at 39 weeks 4 days because all signs were pointing to a fast and furious labor and nobody wanted DH to have to deliver a baby by the side of the road. She was born that evening, 3 days before due date.
Other ones were emergency csections for baby in distress at 39 weeks and PPROM at 29 weeks.

My water broke around 5pm at 39 weeks exactly. Went to the hospital and I was also having contractions, just couldn't feel them. They kept me since I was GBS+ and they wanted to start abx.  I fought them on using pitocin to speed things up which is good because things moved along fine on their own.  DS was born at 3:30am at 39+1.

I was induced at 39+6 due to high blood pressure. They started when I was already 2 cm dialated on my own and about 70-80% effaced at around 7 am and he was born at 7:01 pm. I was very scared of an induction and it’s not my first pick but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I imagined it would be.

I was 38 weeks 6 days with my first. Very fast, 5 hour labor! My second was 39 weeks 4 days, 6 hour labor (but I had an epidural, first was natural). Who knows what baby number 3 will bring!

42 weeks with DS1..nothing really went according to any plan, waterbroke 8 hours after contractions started and then after almost 30 hours of labor...emergency c-section. This time around scheduled c-section at 39 weeks.
