Any appointments? Questions?:
Rants/Raves?:

Re: group 1 check-in w/o 1/14/19
Due date/W+D: 5/2, 24+4
Baby is the size of a(n): eggplant/puffin
Any appointments? Questions?: Just a check-up next week.
Rants/Raves?:
How are you feeling?: Exhausted, and my hips are not down with me sleeping on my sides, even with pillows.
GTKY: With the recent announcement of the new Game of Thrones season premiere date, do you belong to a "fandom" (that is, is there a particular book/series/show/etc you are a huge fan of)? What is your favorite thing about that franchise? A lot - Harry Potter, Disney in general, Game of Thrones, Westworld, and so on. But, my favorite is Harry Potter - no matter what, Hogwarts will always feel like home.

Baby is the size of...I forgot...grapefruit?
Any appt.? Not for a couple of weeks.
Rants/Raves: We got the nursery painted and the crib put together. I wanted it done before the semester started so I could just leisurely decorate as I have free time. Plus one less thing to worry about later on! It feels so real now and I can't wait for her to get here!
GTKY: I love Harry Potter, but I've never really been part of the "fandom" world.
@mrsdee15 I feel ya on the achy hips, can never quite get comfortable. It only gets better from here right 😂
Due date/W+D: 24w+3/May 4th
Baby is the size of a(n): cantaloupe/puffin
Any appointments? Questions?: Appt on Wednesday - just the usual. I'm actually more anxious about finding coverage for the last 10 minutes of the school day than I am about the actual appt itself. I think I'll be scheduling my glucose test this time. Ugh, not looking forward to that.
Rants/Raves?: Rave - love that DH is home. Rant - not happy that he has jury duty this week. He spent the entire day at the courthouse waiting to be called on for questioning for bias and didn't get called. He's juror #47 out of 100 and they are on #12... Bright side, he's not juror 100...
How are you feeling?: Good, just tired but can never fall asleep. Once sleeping, I'm good, but falling asleep is the hard part.
GTKY: With the recent announcement of the new Game of Thrones season premiere date, do you belong to a "fandom" (that is, is there a particular book/series/show/etc you are a huge fan of)? What is your favorite thing about that franchise? I loooooove the Harry Potter series. I have the entire set of books in English and German. I'm going to start reading them in German to my son this summer or at the beginning of next school year. I'm trying to up his vocabulary in German and it's hard when you live in the US and no one outside of myself is speaking the language to him. If anything, I'm hoping that he'll just love the books and his world of words will start expanding even if he can't say them back to me (yet).
Due date/W+D: 5/5
Baby is the size of a(n): Cantaloupe... doesn't seem possible.
Any appointments? Questions?: I had an appointment yesterday, all was well. I got my glucola drink and instructions for when I decide to do that... not really looking forward to it. I'll probably do it at my next OB appt.
Rants/Raves?: DD2 (2.5) has been staying up way late, turning on her light to play after bedtime (even after I'm in bed), and coming into our room to snuggle at like 3AM... if anybody has advice, I'm all ears
How are you feeling?: pretty good. My support belt has helped with my muscle pain, and I don't even have to wear it every day.
GTKY: With the recent announcement of the new Game of Thrones season premiere date, do you belong to a "fandom" (that is, is there a particular book/series/show/etc you are a huge fan of)? What is your favorite thing about that franchise? Harry Potter! I can't wait to get my kiddos to enjoy it too. DD1 and I started reading the first book a while back, but she wasn't super interested and I didn't want to be too pushy and put her off it so we've backed off.
What house would you all be? I'm definitely a Ravenclaw.
Due date/W+D: May 4
Baby is the size of a(n): No idea.
Any appointments? Questions?: Thursday!
Rants/Raves?: Feeling pretty mellow at the moment, so nope.
How are you feeling?: Fine, for the most part. I'm definitely feeling like my belly is in the way. And I'm not sleeping very well. I mean, I'm sleeping, soundly enough that I don't hear our toddler wake up. But I'm not sleeping restfully and I wake up frequently through the night. Not a symptom I had with my other two until well into third tri.
GTKY: With the recent announcement of the new Game of Thrones season premiere date, do you belong to a "fandom" (that is, is there a particular book/series/show/etc you are a huge fan of)? What is your favorite thing about that franchise? I used to. I've been know to write some Harry Potter fanfiction in my youth. But as I got older, I started consuming media broadly and these days I can't read two books by the same author in a row. Also, I had some negative experiences in elementary and high school connected to the books I read and the way I used to geek out over things, which I know affected the way I interact with media now. So... no, I guess I'm not a fangirl.
@brie_and_almonds I always thought I would be Hufflepuff. Loyal and steadfast and welcoming of everyone. But then I did the Pottermore test MORE THAN ONCE and it kept spitting out Slytherin.
I guess I'm too ambitious for Hufflepuff.
DD1: June 2014 - VBM4lyfe
DD2: October 2016
DC3: coming May 2019
Due date/W+D: May 2, 24+5
Baby is the size of a(n): cantaloupe. I don’t believe this one. My belly isn’t big enough for a cantaloupe sized baby yet.
Any appointments? Questions?: We had an ultrasound with the MFM doctor and everything looked good.
Rants/Raves?: My rant this week is that I’m being seen my a MFM for a few things that we are monitoring like my hypothyroid and thrombocytopenia but everything is fine at this point. I just feel like my midwife could be monitoring my blood work and we can do a consult if they numbers go past what we understand is my normal. The MFM barely sits down for 2 minutes to say everything looks great and that’s it. I feel like I am wasting my time and money when I could just skip the MFM doctor all together.
How are you feeling?: I feel good. I am sleeping really soundly and not waking up to pee which has been so nice. I wish I woke up feeling rested but I really just feel exhausted when I wake up no matter how much sleep I’m getting
GTKY: With the recent announcement of the new Game of Thrones season premiere date, do you belong to a "fandom" (that is, is there a particular book/series/show/etc you are a huge fan of)? What is your favorite thing about that franchise?
I just listened 60 podcast episodes on Harry Potter called Binge Mode that was very entertaining but also very thoughtful and had some really great breakdowns of bigger themes in HP. Despite that, I don’t feel like a fan girl because I don’t own any merch, never researched any of the theories, etc. I’m def a fan but maybe not in the fandom.
@brie_and_almonds one thing we do with our daughter is have a special night light hat you can program different colors for different times. When it is red, she has to be in her bed (but not necessarily sleeping), yellow means she can be in her room quietly playing, and green means she can come into our room and wake us up. She can go potty no matter what color the light is. We do this leading up to bed and in the morning for wake up. She definitely breaks the rules but when she comes in and the light is red, we just ask what color the light is and she generally goes back to bed without too much of a fight. She turned 3 in late October so maybe 2.5 won’t be ready for it but it has been a lifesaver. Our daughter is also pretty unruly and wild but she respects the rules for this surprisingly. It’s been pretty neat to watch.

Baby is the size of: a cantaloupe
Any appointments? Questions?: no appointments until next month
Rants/Raves?: My son slept in his bed all night last night 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. Also, my husband had drill this weekend and my son was at his dads all day Sunday so I had an entire day to myself. I'm not sure I've had an entire day alone since I was pregnant with my son. I didn't know what to do with myself so I deep cleaned my house 🤦🏻♀️
How are you feeling?: like I've been hit by a truck. I'm so congested and just overall yuck feeling.
GTKY: With the recent announcement of the new Game of Thrones season premiere date, do you belong to a "fandom" (that is, is there a particular book/series/show/etc you are a huge fan of)? What is your favorite thing about that franchise?
All of them😂 I love Harry Potter the most but I'm definitely a huge fan of Game of Thrones, Outlander, Disney, Lord of the Rings and Firefly to name a few, lol. My favorite thing about any fandom is the connection it brings between strangers. Since becoming a parent most of my friends exist online since we all have limited time and varying schedules. Many of my "mom friends" I made through geeky wraps.
@brie_and_almonds My son almost always comes to my room around 3 am and we try to bring him back to his bed immediately. I coslept for most of his life so he likes to snuggle us at night. It's been a struggle to break especially not since climbing over the bedrail to snuggle in his bed isn't as easy as it used to be with my big ol belly. Also I'm a hufflepuff according to pottermore but I identify with a slytherine more. I'm a slytherpuff.
Due date/W+D: May 3rd, 24+4
Baby is the size of a(n): cantaloupe
Any appointments? Questions?: had one yesterday, no gestational diabetes, yay!
Rants/Raves?: none
How are you feeling?: fine, getting a little worried about getting ds’s new room done and him into it well before baby but I’m sure it will all work out
GTKY: With the recent announcement of the new Game of Thrones season premiere date, do you belong to a "fandom" (that is, is there a particular book/series/show/etc you are a huge fan of)? What is your favorite thing about that franchise? Umm I was obsessed with Lord of the Rings (books then movies) in middle school! I still have the movies but never watch them. My friend and I went to all the midnight movie premiers.
This thread is for those due May 1-7
Due date/W+D: May 4th, 24+4
Baby is the size of a(n): apparently an Ear of Corn
Any appointments? Questions?: My next appointment is at the end of the month with my midwives. I do have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow to get the whooping cough vaccine.
Rants/Raves?: Raves: I started listening to a Jenna Kutcher's podcast and it really helped me realize that saying no to clients in my personal business (I have my own side business, apart from my 40 hour day job) was not failing or saying no to my business but is saying yes to myself and my baby. I have decided to not take on any clients for the months of May June and July so I can just have time with my little guy.
How are you feeling?: Really good. I was starting to get stressed with my business but taking a step back has been a great decision for my family and mental health
GTKY: With the recent announcement of the new Game of Thrones season premiere date, do you belong to a "fandom" (that is, is there a particular book/series/show/etc you are a huge fan of)? What is your favorite thing about that franchise? Ohh @fuscok88 I'm definitely and Outlander fan! I also like Harry Potter, Firefly, and the Discovery of Witches series. Hate to admit it, but before Twilight became huge and crazy, I loved those books and I still remember reading them in highschool when no one knew what they were.

Due date/W+D: 05/01/19, 25 weeks
Baby is the size of a(n): as long as a women’s size 6 shoe
Any appointments? Questions?: MFM appointment Friday to check on DS2’s possible cleft lip. And another OB appointment Monday for a weight check for me because of my HG.
Rants/Raves?: Mostly just annoyed with my HG, I have to spend most of the day laying flat and DS1 wants me to play with him and doesn’t understand that I can’t do as much right now.
How are you feeling?: Just awful. Only 15 more weeks though!
GTKY: With the recent announcement of the new Game of Thrones season premiere date, do you belong to a "fandom" (that is, is there a particular book/series/show/etc you are a huge fan of)? What is your favorite thing about that franchise?
Quite a few. Harry Potter, GoT, THT, Disney. Most of them I just love how “real” and relatable the characters are, and it’s nice to have a little escape from the real world every once in a while.
