My FFFC .... My main motive behind suggesting a separate thread for daycare, yesterday, may have been more because I was getting bored of the Randoms thread. 😛😛 Go ahead, shoot me.
I have another one, I HIGHLY dislike overly nice people. I have a legit reason, though. In my experience, these super nice people are usually fake and when something ticks them off, they respond in a very passive aggressive manner. Homegirl ain't got time fo dat!
My confession is that my diet has gone to absolute crap since I got pregnant. I used to be one of those macro counting, eating healthy people that ate well rounded salads for lunch. Today I am looking forward to my bagel with cream cheese. And veggies are gross now. No more spiralized dishes for me.
@misskimsue it doesn't help that I only had a bowl of Trix this am instead of my usual protein filled fare. I am slinging back peanuts from the jar on my desk but it doesn't help.
@sleepy33 When I was working and pregnant with DS2, I used to boil some water and make myself a bowl of Ramen when I got into the office first thing in the morning...
My eating schedule with twins is as follows: breakfast, snack, 1st lunch, 2nd lunch, snack, 1st dinner, 2nd dinner, then dessert. Seriously. And I must drink a gallon of water a day. I feel like a manatee where I spend 8 hours of my day either eating or drinking something.
@expandcontract - I totally hear you on overly nice people. I call them poisoned sugar. I had a friend like that (key word - HAD) and man, was she nasty when she was pushed to the edge. My wife and I were standing in her apartment frozen in shock while she yelled the cruelest obscenities at her octogenarian neighbor for asking us to move our car to visitor parking. We did not mind at all but our friend had it out for this neighbor and just lost her shit. She's like Mandy Moore's character from Saved, if you've ever seen that.
@heathergirl89 - Yes, I suppose I should rename my meals: First breakfast, 2nd breakfast, elevenses, luncheon, afternoon tea, dinner, supper, and dessert. But if you count them out, I do indeed eat like a hobbit now and it's about the same timing, every 2 hours! Just give me a nice hobbit hole to stay in for the next few months and I'll be golden!
This might be my FFCF but I saw @expandcontract's statement about nice people and though "oh she must live in the South."
Sorry not sorry South. I lived there for 3 years and had to go back and visit like 3 more times and without any preconceived notions I learned all about fake southern niceness. Give me a New Yorker who treats me like shit to my face any day thanks.
I've lived in the deep south (Louisiana) my whole life. I can admit that there's a lot of fake southern hospitality around. I tend to speak my mind too much to ever be accused of being too nice. "Bless your heart" and "honey" are often more demeaning than kind.
I hear you on the overly nice people. My absolute pet hate, though I admit sometimes I have to do it at work just to sweeten the blow when delivering some bad news or asking someone to do a really terrible job.
My FFFC (though it's Monday now... whoops!) I'm perfectly capable of driving to/from work (50-60 minutes) but I had my doctor write a note saying I can't drive more than 15 minutes so I can work from home for the next 3 weeks due to my recent abdominal surgery. Truth is, I just really don't want to go back on site and deal with people and all the office politics that I have no interest in being involved in.
@missmcgonnagal I live in the Deep South and bless your heart is not very nice at all lol! I say it a lot 😂
I bought the first king king cake for my Office and I am seriously thinking about cutting a small piece out and smushing it together bc I want it so bad.
