    Due date: 3/12

Any appointments? Questions?:  Next appointment is on the 10th.  Because I'm AMA, they're going to do a growth scan.  I've never had a sonogram this far into my pregnancy so I'm excited for it!

Rants/Raves?: After 4 weeks of working part time because we were without childcare, and 2 weeks off for the holiday break, I'm finally back at work full time and it feels SO good.  I absolutely adore my children, but I love my job, too, and it feels great to be back to my normal self!

How are you feeling?: I'm still getting the heartburn and nausea in the evening, and my hips are killing me, but otherwise good.

GTKY: Other than LO(s), what are you most excited about for the upcoming year?  Work!  2018 was a really, really rough year for me, professionally, and the institution where I work has gone through some tumultuous times, as well.  I'm excited to see what 2019 brings!

@dtspmama fx 2019 brings lots of good opportunities professionally!

    Due date: 3/12

Any appointments? Questions?: Next appointment is 1/8 due to holiday conflicts.

Rants/Raves?: So, we officially found out the little in-home day care we’ve used with DS is closing in March (she’s wanting to focus on homeschooling her son) and it’s totally throwing me for a loop. I didn’t really think I was going to have to deal with finding a new daycare again... and finding a truly part time option has been sincerely difficult. So I’m currently feeling super stressed about that fun new development. And when talking about what we were going to do, DH response was “well maybe you should just go back full time” which is a long discussion we had before DS was born and we had both agreed we wanted me home part-time. Plus I seriously dislike my current job and definitely don’t want to be full time there. Add in a terrific cold, and I’m just a cranky bundle of fun... (sorry for the novel!)

How are you feeling?: big, ribs already starting to feel compressed at times, pelvic pain.

GTKY: Other than LO(s), what are you most excited about for the upcoming year? Ugh, right now, not sure... per my long rant above, I’m feeling a bit apprehensive about a few things this year.

@lelkcot I am so sorry - that sucks!  Finding childcare is (I think) truly one of the biggest parenthood pains in the a$$!!!

    Due date: 3/16

Any appointments? Questions?: Next appt on the 11th.

Rants/Raves?: Raves: my cousin from California and best friend from Idaho are both flying in for my baby shower. I'm so excited to see them!

How are you feeling?: pregnant. No other way to describe it.

GTKY: Other than LO(s), what are you most excited about for the upcoming year? Nothing really. This lo was the plan and main event for the year. The last two years we have moved across states so I'm good with just that. We'll see what the year has in store for us though.

@dtspmama good luck on the professional front. May I ask what you do?

@lelkcot fx you find a great pt childcare!

    Thanks, ladies!

@Kenneylynn3 I work at a law school (don't want to be too specific or they'll see past my anonymous Bump identity.  LOL.).  In the past year I've debated going back to practice, but I really can't imagine doing that so I'm pouring all of the positive, professional energy I have into my current institution in the hopes things will be better this year!

    Due date: 3/16

Any appointments? Questions?: Next appointment is only on the 23rd. Still on a 4 week schedule until 36 weeks. It's surprising to see everyone else move to every 2 weeks already.

Rants/Raves?: Rant: I can't find any prenatal massage specialist working with my insurance. It's an HMO plan, and the clinics were bought a year ago by a larger provider. And it seems that the massage specialist I went to 3 years ago is not in network anymore. I tried asking on a moms mailinglist at work, but I have the feeling everyone else is on the second insurance plan offered by my employer and didn't choose this one.

How are you feeling?: Oddly enough, pretty good. Only complaints are the extreme tiredness in the morning (can't get out of bed before 8:30, and even that is a feat) and the little "joys" of pregnancy which require Preparation H and keep reappearing. First time in my life dealing with them and it's not fun.

GTKY: Other than LO(s), what are you most excited about for the upcoming year? I'm taking it one thing at a time, so for now the baby is the main focus. One he's here, then we might plan a vacation for the summer when DS1's daycare operates as a camp and you can pay for only 2 weeks at a time and not lose the spot.

@dtspmama I'm with you on actually enjoying work after spending so much time at home over the holidays. Although, I didn't take any vacation (saving it to supplement my maternity leave a bit) and let DH handle the one day when daycare was closed, but it was still enough to leave me exhausted. High energy toddler + pregnancy = just nope!

@mihaelams1 I'm glad I'm not the only one who was glad to get back to work!  Yesterday DD1 (who is almost 3) had a 27 minute (but who's counting) tantrum because a blanket touched her the wrong way, and DD2 (who is 15 months) wanted to be held. All. Day.

You want to know who needed to be held at work today?  NOBODY!

    Due date: 3/12

    Any appointments? Questions?:

Next appointment is Friday. I'm super excited to see baby again. He or she has been super active lately, so I'm curious to see what position they're in.

    Rants/Raves?:

Rave: DH has just been everything I need him to be in a really emotional few days, and I am eternally grateful for a partner who knows how to love me exactly how I need it the most.

    How are you feeling?:

Sad. My grandmother passed away today. It was not completely unexpected, but the end came much more suddenly than expected. I am feeling very regretful, because I never told her we were planning to give the baby her middle name (if a girl), because I thought there was more time, and I wanted it to be a surprise. But she passed peacefully at home in her own bed with my aunt and uncle by her side, so there is comfort in that.

GTKY: Other than LO(s), what are you most excited about for the upcoming year?

Hard to think of anything else, to be honest. I'm just so excited to be a mom and meet our little peanut that I could bust!

@lucysmom2016 I'm really sorry about your grandmother passing away! Even if I'm not very religious, sometimes I would like to think they still watch over us one way or another, and she will find out about your nice gesture with the name. DS1 shared a birthday with my grandmother, and his middle name was her brother's name. Even if the only time she saw him she already had advanced dementia and couldn't understand he was her great-grandson, I'm sure that she would have given him all her love and attention if she had had the chance, just like she gave to me.

Lurking but wanted to say that i am truly sorry for your loss @lucysmom2016. My grandmother passed Sept 24th so i completely understand what you are going through. Same as it wasn't unexpected but i was hoping she would be here when the baby was born to meet her. I already had a name picked out, but i am already named after my grandmother. I decided to make the theme of the babys' room elephants because it was my Granny's favorite thing, to honor her and keep her memory alive. I will keep you and your family in my prayers and thoughts. Hugs to you.  <3

I’ve been so MIA but I enjoyed reading all your updates! Sorry for your loss @lucysmom2016
Due Date: 3/12. Actually booked the c section today. Get to meet little man at noon-ish.

Appointments: had a growth scan on Monday and OB visit today. Everything looks great. Have another growth scan with MFM in 3 weeks and then I start weekly “fetal surveillance”. Next OB is in 2 weeks and then we move to weekly the same time as fetal surveillance starts.

Rant: my new job is very stressful because there is a ton to do/fix and my team is not well suited to the task. One of them was supposed to retire yesterday and I was looking forward to hiring someone capable, but she pulled her paperwork at the last minute and is staying.
Rave: this weekend is my and DD’s birthdays. I took today off and am getting my hair done and doing a little party shopping/prep. Tomorrow is my bday (hoping DH has a surpise for me ) and her first day of “lil kickers” soccer and her bday party. Sunday is her actual birthday and will hopefully be a nice family day.

Overall I feel good. My groin pull seems to have healed and not much other pain there, sciatica & heartburn still bother me and not getting much sleep, but cherishing all his crazy movements.

GTKY: obviously we are excited about baby, but we also just booked our family beach house for July and are actually staying on the sound this year. Has the bonus of being cheaper/nicer but there is also a little sandy beach area that the kids can play in with nice shallow water and no waves. We also are planning a Disney trip for November that I am super psyched about because we *should* be able to make one of my bucket list items of staying in a theme park view room at the contemporary work.
    Me: 30 DH: 31

Due date: 3/12 but will deliver no later than 2/28

Any appointments? Saw my regular ob Tuesday, an uneventful appt as usual.  She gave me samples of Integra f for my anemia but it appears my insurance covers nothing but one kind of ferrous sulfate, which makes me sick.

    Rants/Raves?:  not really

How are you feeling?: other than feeling full term at 30nweeks... I'm ok.  The varicose pain isn't as bad and my lower back pain isn't as this week.  I have no clue how these babies are supposed to find more room though.

GTKY: Other than LO(s), what are you most excited about for the upcoming year?  A less stressful year and getting more settled.  2018 sucked a lot.
