1.5w pp and I am just emotional. Physically I'm doing great. Up and getting stuff done, cooking, grocery shopping, etc. I think that's just 3rd baby luck. My body isn't phased by it at this point lol. But man, everytime I stare too long at Everly I get so emotional and start crying!

I feel ya on the emotions @MDKC14! 
Ive also been down from being so stir crazy inside. I’m not cleared to drive yet, I’m basically just a walking boob, and DH has been busy so I hate to bother him to say something like “take me out, I need to see the light of day”. 
Tonorrow we do have to do Costco for our Christmas groceries. Plus another store or two so I might regret that after walking around for a couple hours with an infant and toddler.

@MDKC14 did you have a csection? I’m hurting still from mine 5 days in. Boobs are crazy rock hard as well. Trying to get the knots out which hurt like a B!

@mcgeeva my csection seemed to take longer to get over this time. I took my painkillers for probably 10 days regularly and sporadically for about 2 weeks. I started feeling more myself then but I still have to be so careful no to overdue it or I get SO sore. I’m 19 days out right now. 
As for the boob- have you tried a super hot shower, massage them and then pop on a manual pump the second you’re out?

@kristah2 no but I def will. So clearly I forgot how to handle a newborn. I can for the life of me since we have been home get her to lay down and sleep after a feeding without fussing the whole time before 3 am. What in the heck am I doing wrong?!

@mcgeeva No, no csection here or there's no way I could be up getting anything done.

@mcgeeva that’s not forgetting how to care for a newborn, that’s blocking out the fact they refuse to sleep anywhere for a few weeks after birth  
baby girl is the same. She only sleeps in mine to DH’s arms. Last night I got her in her crib for 3 hours but I had to put her down sound asleep. She will be 3 weeks on Monday.

@kristah2 Oh okay good to know I’m not alone! My girlfriend with twins thought it was crazy’s she’s up late at night tossing till 3 because hers were fed every three hours in nicu. Prob is she was home how did they know if they were sleeping or fussing in between. Well here is to hoping tonight is better!

@mcgeeva every night will get a little easier. 
Unsolicited advise here but I’d try to put baby in her crib or bassinet each time. She might only last 10 mins but it’ll slowly get her used to it. 
And around here baby won’t sleep 3 mins in her bassinet but I can get 2-4 hours in the crib so I go with that. 
again still not abnormal though. I went to bed at 11 last night and left baby girl with DH. he came up at 3 saying she didn’t even fall alseep until 2 and it took giving her a bottle sporadically and trying to settle her forever.

@kristah2 last night was 100 times better! Slept in pack n play. Bassinet didn’t work! Def don’t want tk start bad habits but I’m sure it’s her getting settled here as well and as she has more awake time hopefully that will help.

@mcgeeva it’s too early to create bad habits! I’m enjoy the newborn snuggles when I can because they go away so fast. But also taking full advantage of time I can sleep or eat in peace.
