Me: 36, DH 37.
August 2014- 6w MMC
July 2015- CP
PCOS, plus some medical issues that make me high risk.
2. How are you feeling? Physically? Mentally? Physically I’m feeling big, if I’m not sitting up properly, or sometimes when I cross my legs I feel very compressed. Mentally I’m ok.
3. Any appt updates? Growth scan on Monday, 28 week appointment and glucose test Tuesday.
4. Rants/raves/questions? So, I’ve already posted about this, but it’s definitely been top of mind for me this week. Over the weekend I noticed a slowdown in fetal movement, called into our nurses line Monday (knowing they’d likely send me in) and they scared the crap out of me and sent me immediately into my drs office. The US Monday showed baby looking good with a strong and consistent heart beat and good fluid levels. However they referred me for a growth scan, so I’m still feeling nervous. She definitely been moving more since then, and hopefully the growth scan on Monday will help calm the anxiety.
5. GTKY- decorating for the holidays? Yep, all our Christmas decorations are out, we got a fantastically huge tree, and DH even got lights up outside! However the boxes are still sitting in the dining room...
2. Physically: just the usual of back pain, nausea/vomiting, had a the first headache that I had to tale tylenol, I'm sure there's more. Mentally: I woke up in a panic this morning because lo didn't wake me up last night dancing. Laid there until I felt 10 movements.
3. Not until 26th/27th.
4. Not really a rant/rave: I have this feeling that I need to pack my bag, but haven't yet as that means what ever I put in there isn't coming back out. Plus, I don't have some stuff yet to pack. That might be a rant.
5. GTKY: only what is getting put up is up. Some lights and decorations. No tree or anything. We are celebrating at both sets of parents so no reason for us to put up anymore.
2. How are you feeling? Physically? Mentally? Physically I am feeling large, achy and slow. I have made my way back to the gym but wow is it different now. Mentally I am just fine at this point (thank goodness)
3. Appt updates? My next appointment is 12/24. I had my annual physical late last week and my serum sodium level came back low, so those labs are getting sent over to my OB as a precaution in case he'd want to / could do anything about it.
4. Rants/raves/questions? Rave: I just finished up my financials for a business case that I've been working on for what seems like foreeeever, and after today I only have one more day in the office for the rest of the year! Question: for those of you who've had previous pregnancies and pump prescriptions written - how does that work and how long did it take up to get your pump? My prescription got sent in last Tuesday, wondering if it'll come to me, my OB and when?
5. GTKY- decorating for the holidays? We have Christmas decorations out and went and cut down a tree and put it up. We woke up the next morning and it was on its side laying on the couch. Oopsies!
@lelkcot I hope the growth scan helps ease the stress a bit @Kenneylynn3 sorry you're still feeling sick!
2. How are you feeling? Physically? Mentally? Physically, slowing down. My work sched is crazy right now so I’m making it to the gym about 3-4x per week as opposed to my regular 5-6x. That, coupled with it being later in the pregnancy, are making all things active more difficult. In any event, still trying to keep it up since working out is my only source of stress relief these days. Mentally, see below.
3. Appt updates? Had an appt on Monday. All my test results have been good. Recently, I passed my glucose test and blood work revealed I’m not anemic so very happy about that. Baby is well and kicking away so loving that! Belly is measuring a bit small but within normal range so my doc isn’t concerned. Love hearing the strong HR on the Doppler.
4. Rants/raves/questions? Rant - As mentioned in my week 3 update, sincere apologies for being MIA. I usually try to participate in this thread, week3, fit moms, and HDBD, but have failed recently. The readers digest version is that I’m struggling balancing/juggling the insane life events thrown my way: 1) FTM with mid-March due date; 2) intense multi-week jury trial scheduled to take place weeks 35-37; 3) massive home remodel (will be shaking up with my in laws while on leave with a newborn); and 4) mom was recently re-diagnosed with a serious medical condition so she’ll be undergoing months of intense treatment starting 12/31. Needless to say, my mom is constantly on my mind and her condition weighs heavily in my heart.
Rave - on a happier, brighter note, heading to the Bay Area tomorrow to celebrate my grandma’s 100th (!!) birthday. I’m super close to her (and named after her), so while we’re together we’re going to do a mini gender reveal with my fam with my grandma being the center of it (she’s strongly and vocally hoping for a girl). During this trip, I’ll also see my mom for the first time since she learned I am pregnant (she visited earlier this year but we kept it a secret until we were far into the second trimester) and since we learned her medical issue returned. It’s going to be a super emotional, but very exciting weekend!
5. GTKY- decorating for the holidays? Will be in Michigan the week of Xmas but was able to convince DH to continue with our tradition of grabbing/trimming a tree the day after Thanksgiving and otherwise putting up our holiday decor before we pack it up for our move. Last year, we invested in super cute faux fur stockings from pottery barn and can’t wait to add another next year after the arrival of our LO! Because I live in San Diego, having our house decked out (plus Xmas scents and Xmas tunes on Pandora), really help me get in the holiday spirit.
2. How are you feeling? Physically? Mentally? Feeling good. This week starting to feel "big." I I think I was in denial before of everything that was going on since it took awhile to really show.
3. Appt updates? Glucose on the 28th, then growth scan the following appt early Jan.
4. Rants/raves/questions? Excited or my grandmother's 80th birthday this weekend. My aunt and uncle are flying in tomorrow to surprise her. Only rant I have is having to do the glucose test right after xmas. 5. GTKY- decorating for the holidays? Yes, we finally got all the lights outside and wreaths hung a couple of weeks ago. Inside didn't go too crazy. Mainly tree and did silver and champagne touches. Figure they can be left out longer since not overly xmas looking.
@lelkcot Hope your growth scan helps ease your mind! Plus side, you were probably about due for it anyways, so get a peek a little early

@BuckeyeNut05 I called my insurance who had me go through edgepark.com They contact my ob and get the script. Says my order will be processed mid Feb. If for some reason I need it earlier, I just contact them.
@beachbaby0523 sorry your life has been so stressful lately. Glad you came back to let us know how things are going.
Adding one more question: is anyone else excessively thirsty? I have drank about 60 oz of water today and I am still so, so thirsty. I don't even want to know how many times I'll have to pee tonight. All I want to do is chug water.
@BuckeyeNut05 Yes! I usually sleep with a water bottle next to me, but rarely ever drink it. Last night, I chugged it 3x during the night and had to refill it before I woke up. I’m notoriously bad at drinking enough water but have made a conscious effort to drink more during this pregnancy. My goal is 80-100 ounces daily, which means many bathroom trips while sleeping, unfort.
1. 26 weeks today 2. I’m been struggling with rib pain and it’s been awful, lots of heartburn. I’m turning into a pretty miserable pregnant lady. But (I’ve been checking in on the high-risk thread), I have a lot of other stuff going on too, so I’m just trying to stay optimistic and hang on to these babies as long as I can even if it means my daily existence is laying on the coach with ice packs. 3. Next appt is the 28th unless we decide the contractions I started having are too much/strong at which time I will be admitted and/or put on bedrest. Also monitoring blood pressure pretty closely. Taking it a day at a time right now. I did pass my diabetes screen though!! 4. Rave: my people have been awesome. I know my husband is so worried but he’s been my rock. I would be a total mess if he wasn’t so supportive. 5. I’m not usually a big Christmas person anyway because of all the family drama that comes with my divorced parents but I did manage to get Christmas presents out in the mail, and I hung up the Christmas cards we’ve been getting. My last day of work at my most demanding job is scheduled for the day after Christmas so I feel like that benchmark has overwhelmed everything else.

@beachbaby0523 sorry to hear things have been so tough lately. Hopefully the visit to celebrate your grandmas birthday is amazing! @3rdtime_charmed sorry it’s getting rough, hoping your babies stay put and you can get a little more comfortable. @BuckeyeNut05 yes! I’m constantly drinking water (granted I drink a lot of water normally)!
2. How are you feeling? Physically? Mentally? Overall I am pretty good both physically and mentally. There's plenty of little physical things I could complain about but nothing that's really causing me any issues.
3. Appt updates? 25 week appt and glucose test later today. Had to get it rescheduled because of snow, and now it's in the middle of the day, and I'm constantly hungry now so I may be in for a rough hour. Oh well... Just something to get through!
4. Rants/raves/questions? Nothing I can think of today.
5. GTKY- decorating for the holidays? We have our tree up and a few other inside decorations, but haven't been able to do any outside lights because of rain, and then snow, and now more rain. Maybe it'll happen this year, and maybe it won't!
@lelkcot Hope your growth scan goes well and baby stays nice and wiggly for you! Those movements are so reassuring.
@Kenneylynn3 I almost opted out of decorating altogether this year.. There's already enough going on!
@BuckeyeNut05 Yay for a break from work! And yes I have days of crazy thirst as well. If I'm not thirsty all day then I'm hungry all day.
@beachbaby0523 Girl you have a lot going on! Hang in there. I'll be thinking of you and your mom.
@3rdtime_charmed I stalked the high risk thread for your updates recently and have been thinking of you. Like you said, just keep taking things one day at a time!
@diaphena Good luck on your glucose test today! Hope you're able to eat soon!!

2. How are you feeling? Physically? Mentally? Physically pretty good, feeling slower sometimes. Mentally, ok. I have placenta previa and I am terrified that I could start bleeding, but it is more self-induced fear than any risk communicated by my doctor.
3. Appt updates? Had a check up today. Glucose test next week.
4. Rants/raves/questions? Rave-ish, finishing up my very stressful interim position in the next week, and looking forward to time off at Christmas.
5. GTKY- decorating for the holidays? Not really. Hung stockings and Garland and some basic decorations. We have a small 2ft tree as city dwellers.
How many weeks are you? 28! Officially passed my milestone with our loss. So. Many. Emotions.
How are you feeling? Physically? Mentally? Appt updates? Welp, based on hitting this milestone lots of feels. I'm happy and yet I know I still have 12 weeks to go so trying to still take one day at a time. Next appointment is Wednesday with a BPP ultrasound (last update: high amniotic fluid and "big" belly so we will see what this ultrasound looks like).
Rants/raves/questions? This is my third pregnancy and I'm built fairly tiny. Oh the comments "Looks like you could have that baby any day!" Um, nope. I work with seniors so they are not used to seeing a pregnant lady every day. Grace upon grace to them. GTKY- decorating for the holidays? Tree and the the little things are up. I told DH he doesn't have to do lights outside this year. Our weather has been so bad, snow early and we haven't even gotten a chance to rake leaves so I feel like lights are out of the question.
Had my bpp today and baby boy was a rockstar! He passed with flying colors and in just a few minutes. So relieved. My amniotic fluid is still high but within normal limits.
