Does old navy maternity run big or small?

Re: Does old navy maternity run big or small?

  • It depends on the item.  I've found their sizing to just be weird in general.

  • Big!

All their maternity clothes run massive, in my experience...

  • I'd recommend going in and trying it on.  A large in one fit was huge on me...in another fit it was snug. Bizarre!!
  • it has been hit or miss with me depending on the item and the material.

  • It depends.  I bought some pants there in early 2nd tri and bought them about 3 sizes smaller than pre-pregnancy size.

I just ordered a track suit, and 2 shirts a few weeks ago adn I ordered my pre-pregnancy size and they fit perfectly.  I would suggest if you don't have a store near by to try on the clothes to order two sizes of each item and then just send back the one that doesn't fit.  It's free to ship it back!

  • I agree, it depends on the item.  I have a few shirts in size M that have fit me for a while and then I have two cami's that are also M that FINALLY fit me this week!
  • In my experience, generally big- but agree with pp that its not consistent from item to item.

I've had the same experience.  I'm normally a large in ON regular clothes.  I started out buying medium in the maternity.  Now that i'm further along i've started buying large.  Generally it's working out so far but once in a while because of the material or the item in general I need a larger or smaller size.

  • It depends.  I have two of the same shirt and they are a M and a L and fit the same.  Their pants run really weird too!  I can't wear them at all.  They are ALL too short, but they fit different in the waist and in the rise.  It depends on your body and how things fit on you.  Good luck!
  • All Old Navy sizing is random. I think they draw the tags out of hats and then sew them into the clothes.
