@bakerstreetboys Oh no. Please know we are all here for you to lean on and talk to and vent no matter what happens or what decisions you may make. No judgement at all. Please let us know if we can do anything. I’m so sorry you have to deal with and navigate this news, and I am keeping you and your little guy in my thoughts.

@bakerstreetboys, I have no words. I am so, SO very sorry that you are dealing with this. It’s beyond unfair and no one, absolutely no one, should ever have to confront this. You are very much in my thoughts and I desperately wish there was more I could do to heal your heart in this.

@bakerstreetboys I am so sorry that you are going through this. I wish I had words right now that I though would be remotely calming beyond fuck. Sending you and your family so much love.
@bakerstreetboys I am so sad to hear this! Please don’t hesitate to ask for anything at all or reach out for whatever support we can provide. I’m thinking of you and your family during this difficult time.
Thank you ladies for all your support and kind words ❤️ Right now I’m flopping between crying and being totally numb. We will still go for our 12 week ultrasound tomorrow and hopefully hear from the geneticist tomorrow for an appointment soon. I’m just having such a hard time trying to understand the heartbeat that I can still hear on the Doppler, and this test result. It’s so hard not to have hope that we could be in that 1% of false positives while still being realistic. I will be lurking.
Hi ladies. A few of us have agreed that not only has today been very hard, but we are all pretty heartbroken for emerald. If you would like to, we (being members of the board) are going to light a candle (tonight, but really anytime in the next couple days) in memory of baby emerald and post the photo in her TW post. You can light a real candle in your home and post the photo or just post a GIF of a candle. Just posting this here and in randoms for anyone who doesn’t check the TW thread again after posting their condolences.

**lurking** @bakerstreetboys I'm so sorry for your news... I hope you get that appointment with a genetic counselor soon so you can evaluate everything. Thinking of you and your family.

Can't even imagine what this must be like, but I'm hoping and praying along with you for a false positive.

Thinking of you today and sending you lots of love @bakerstreetboys. I'm holding out hope for good news, but if nothing else I hope that your scan today can give you some more information that will help you moving forward I wish so much you weren't facing this potential heartache right now.

@bakerstreetboys I am so sorry you received this news. I just want to say, that as someone who had a baby diagnosed with trisomy (mosaic triomsy 15), I did a lot of research and everything. There are some trisomy groups on Facebook as well. I just wanted to put that out there because I know it is a serious diagnosis and doctors will be 100% negative about it (based on my experience). But if you want a different perspective, I'm always here. No matter what you decide to do. I am thinking of you.
Today is my due date for our most recent loss. We should have been bringing home our baby girl just in time to celebrate Christmas as a family of four. I'm grateful that I'm not facing another due date without being pregnant, but as you all know, one baby can never replace another. We saw our perfect bean with a strong heartbeat on Wednesday which I really needed to get through this week.

@coco2787 Thinking of you today. These days are so hard.
I wanted to drop in and update you ladies on our appointments yesterday. We had our 12 week u/s, which didn't show anything that pointed to trisomy 18. Baby's NT was 2.5, so that wasn't an issue. He did have an enlarged bladder, which isn't a marker for T-18 but could cause another problem. We met with a high risk OB because our own doctor was in surgery all day. She was awful, and just sat us down and said "well, things don't look good". She was referring to the NIPT results, which of course we already knew were not good. She said we could terminate based on those results, which we aren't willing to do unless we get 100% confirmation. Although the u/s didn't show any issues, 12 weeks is very early to really be able to see details of the heart, etc. because baby is still so small. So we left there pretty defeated. In the afternoon, we met with the genetics counsellor. While she didn't really have good news for us, she did confirm that there are some very rare situations where the placenta could have abnormal cells but that baby could be unaffected. Although only 1-2% of pregnancies display this, it was still enough for us to book further testing. We will go back for another ultrasound in two weeks to check on growth and structure of the baby. A CVS isn't conclusive so we're going straight to an amnio. Unfortunately they can't do that until after 15 weeks, so I have to wait until January 8, which is going to be very hard. Getting bigger, still being pregnant, feeling the baby move by then...all the while knowing that I will most likely never get to bring this little boy home. We are devastated but trying to remain positive. If we end up being in that 1-2%, it will all be worth it. Please keep your fingers crossed for us. It's going to be a tough Christmas and a long few weeks. I will be checking in to see how the rest of you are doing...I hope this is the last bad news this board sees.
@bakerstreetboys I am so sorry to read this. I will be thinking of you and your son. Somebody has to be the 1-2% and I am desperately hoping that it is you. Sending you so many hugs.
@coco2787 I’m so sorry for all the heartache. I hope you can find some joy in this pregnancy going through Christmas, and you are in my thoughts as you navigate this rough month.
@bakerstreetboys I am rooting for you and your little guy SO HARD. Someone has to be in the 1-2% right? I will be thinking about you guys, and I hope you feel comfortable participating as much as you want to. We are all still here for you, no matter what. Please update us with any news when and how you can.

Oh @bakerstreetboys I'm so sorry for this hell you are facing. Waiting until 15 weeks for answers probably feels like a lifetime away. I will be thinking of you every day until then and will be begging the universe for the best possible results. Please PM me if you need to talk/cry/vent. I'm here for you

I'm sorry you're stuck in limbo @bakerstreetboys that's such a hard place to be. I've been doing a little reading and it seems rare that babies with trisomy 18 look normal on an NT scan (not to give you false hope, but I think waiting for more testing is absolutely the right decision). I hope these next few weeks go by quickly for you and that you are still able to somewhat enjoy the holidays with your family. You and your little boy will be in my thoughts I know it might be hard to be around this board right now but I hope you'll update us when you can. Sending you love and strength.
