Re: Weekly Randoms • w/o 12.03

  • I've been stalking our registry on Amazon and am surprised how many people are not buying clothes :open_mouth: I'm sure a lot of it is simply people not liking the gender neutral options, but it's great seeing that friends are buying practical items from the registry. I just looked today and someone bought the bottle warmer, a box of wipes, and the newborn Boppy lounger! I was so sure that I was going to use my completion discount on those very things

  • @echo-charlietango I am glad you are getting so much from your registry! FWIW I don’t usually buy baby clothes because I feel like new parents are inundated with outfits after birth.

  • @echo-charlietango that is great. I feel like moms with littles know how important those practical things are and try to buy that vs the cutesie stuff. I have a friends baby shower Friday and bought her a hands free pumping bra, nursing pads, pumping bags and lanolin. Not the most exciting but definitely useful lol.
  • @echo-charlietango That's great! That's what people did with DS as well. This time I feel like we got less of things we need, but we needed less anyway! I usually don't buy clothes for people, I usually go for necessities and things I think other people won't buy (bottles, pacifiers, etc).

  • I also don’t usually buy clothes for people. And I’ve noticed after 2 babies when people gift clothes they tend to in 0-3 months so you end up with a PILE of clothes they will never get through and you end up with zero newborn and zero of anything bigger which sucks.
  • I am so not happy with my younger dog right now. I was actually sleeping good last night for the first time in a week. TMI I had diarrhea and won't up around midnight but after that slept great. END TMI Stupid dog kept growling/barking at the other dog for no reason and woke me up like three times before I went downstairs to correct her. Then like ten minutes later it happened again so I let the other one out of the crate. THEN at 4am the one in the crate starts crying and wakes me up again. UGH! So annoyed and tired. I just want good sleep!

  • @AdorkablePixie I swear dogs are more work than kids sometimes!
  • @AdorkablePixie Is she a new puppy? I definitely get how wearing it is. Mine is just old and pacing in the night happens all the time and constant bathroom trips outside. I will not be getting any more pets anytime soon..well besides a fish for my kid for xmas. Lets hope the thing lives.
