DH and I cannot find common ground for a girl name. I am due in 6 weeks and it is driving me bonkers not having some girl names that we both like. For boys we have a few to choose from once baby arrives including Carson and Connor (to give you an idea of where we agreed). But for girls we are very far apart on styles. I like more traditional names (like Margaret, Eleanor, and Rebecca) which have nice nicknames for little ones IMO. My go-to name was Hazel after my grandmother but my cousin got to it first - it is an option for a middle name though. The names he likes are way to popular (like Olivia or Amelia) or I just don't like them at ALL (like Angelica or Ciara). We also have big close families with lots of little ones so there are a number of names already off the table including anything ending in -ella (we have two nieces with that ending already), Hazel, Layla, Vivian, Riley, Brooke, Grace, Evelyn, Ruby, Isla, Ava, Georgina, Addison, Harriet, and Jocelyn. We both like Iris but feel as though it does not fit well with our last name. Our last name is two syllables and starts with an R.
Help bumpies help!
*edit: to add more "off the table" names

If it helps, our pick of girls names include: Bella (from a Jason Marz song, not popular movie...), Emma (my maternal grandmothers name, although recently renewed in popularity), Lynn (family middle name from both sides). Hope you can find one y’all both love. Oh, and we also are trying out the baby name app, egg as icon, you sync up with DH phone and you swip left/right. Any you both like are saved. Kinda cool. We are trying it out for boys names.

I liked Amelia too. We went with Emilia. Was expecting nickname of Emme but ended up calling her Millie. Super cute. So basically I am saying is may not initially agree on a name but might agree more on the nickname.
