@leighbreak YES! Because Canada is still a constitutional monarchy and we share a border with the U.S., I feel our news is just inundated with shit I don't care about. Just tell me what's going on in my own damn country!

@tosh24 Entirely agreed! Our local news station was bought out by an American company, and now allllll we get is stuff about American politics and pseudoscience garbage. I miss actual, local news.

People who post online about "science" and "facts" from sketchball websites need to STOP!  Someone on my facebook feed posted something and used a website boingoboingo.net or something like that as their source.  RLY?!? Come on people, if you have an opinion you'd like to share, at least back it up with a credible source.

@rooonilwaazlib I have this meme that I post whenever it comes up in my memories about the skill of critical thinking. It's my passive agressive way of giving the middle finger to all the stupid pseudoscience shit that people post. On the plus side, these viral "scientific" articles that people share are a great way of highlighting who I need to remove from my friend list

My sister switches MLM ‘businesses’every few years and always tries to guilt people into buying her stuff to support a small business owner......  I spent over $200 on lipstick I don’t wear; at least I have an excuse not to buy anything else.....

@alexandraseattle YAS. My cousin put her position as a "marketing professional" bc she sells MLM. As someone who works at a marketing/ad firm I found that offensive lol. There's nothing strategic about MLM except for conning people into buying your shit

@alexandraseattle omg YES. All the girls from my hs who now sell mlm refer to themselves as "small business owners". No. That's not what business owners do. You were just conned by a huge corporation into thinking you could make a living off of guilting your friends and family into buying shit.
