I am the exact same way right now! My advice is just continue to listen to your body. If it wants the carbs then eat the carbs. You’ll have time to catch up on nutrients once the nausea goes away 😊
5 weeks tomorrow and oy vey, the gas! Increased CM so I’ve taken to wearing liners everyday. I’ve been crampy and my stomach is constantly upset. I’m not nauseous (yet-it started at 6w on the dot with my first two pregnancies) but it feels like I ate something that didn’t agree with me. I am anxious for more symptoms but keep reminding myself it’s early.
Freaking A. Pregnancy brain has hit. We are rehabbing a pair of squirrels (under the supervision of a licensed rehabber). They are due to be released but we got a nasty cold spell so we decided to wait until it warmed up again. I totally left the cage door open and now I have two crazy squirrels loose in our shop. This is going to be fun.. I'm usually really good about remembering those kind of things but dang it.
I also had to run out last minute and buy my oldest an orange shirt for his school program thingy last night because I forgot despite being reminded 3 times over the last week and a half.

I'm late to this party. Things change quickly, which is good and bad I guess. During weeks 5 and 6 it was mostly sore boobs, tired, and cramping. This week bvb the nausea is in fill swing. I'm exhausted and just can't seem to keep anything down in the morning them have zero appetite come dinner time. This is rough but I'll take it over the cramping. I'm a worrier so as gross as all this is, I find it reassuring.
@nopegoat pregnancy brain in full effect over here too. Could not figure out yesterday what in the heck the smell in my house was that smelled like food cooking... I had put dinner in the crock pot a couple hours earlier... pleasant surprise lol! Hope you found the squirrels!
And +1 to pregnancy brain. I left the stove on twice last week and can't remember to take things I need to take with me when I leave the house even when I leave them by the front door. Plus I teach high school math and I keep making silly mistakes in solutions on the board. My students are amused that I'm teaching with a calculator in my hand at all times now:/
Pregnancy brain--- My daughter's day care is nut-free and Kosher dairy. I almost sent her to school with prosciutto pizza made with an almond flour crust. Thankfully my husband saw what I was doing and stopped me.
@ccmama3 I found one... The other one is still at large. Waiting for H to get home tonight to help. I nearly killed myself climbing on top of the desk to get this one..

At 5w5d here... I have sore boobs, am tired all afternoon and evening, and have mild acid reflux a couple hours after each meal. I didn't realize "pregnancy brain" was a thing (thought it was the tiredness that was making me absent minded and flaky). Thankfully, I haven't had any nausea yet - for those of you who have it, I hope it gets better soon.
I also was just thinking about how pregnancy brain has settled in. I had to go prep our trailer for sale this morning and then spent an hour with some prospective buyers. I am totally drained and after I picked up lunch, I sat outside my son's school before pickup thinking about how I should go over to the same restaurant I just came from to get lunch.
@nopegoat That squirrel is looking at you like, "...what?"
Should we start a pregnancy brain thread? DH is still laughing over when he asked me what time it was and I said, "Pie." He blamed pregnancy brain, but I still say it was because I was typing the word "pie" when he asked
I’m 5w1d and I feel almost nothing. Not even sore boobs. Hungrier than usual and having crazy dreams and night sweats but that’s about it. I know my levels are rising but it still makes me extremely nervous. I know it shouldn’t because *TW I had ALL the symptoms with my first MMC *end TW* but with my one successful pregnancy I had horrible MS that started before I was even 5 weeks so it’s hard not to compare it to that.

Has anyone has some insomnia this early on? I've had the crazy dreams. Now I'm waking up to go to the bathroom and having difficulty going back to sleep. Also, my boob soreness took a turn. Before, I had to press on my boob to see if they were tender now they feel so heavy and sore. Ouch! 6w6d if that helps.
@coco2787 I'm sorry you're feeling anxious. I don't really have sore boobs either and mine never got terribly sore or big during my first pregnancy. It is still definitely very early. I was just talking to someone who gave birth to her second a year ago and she did not really have any symptoms until 8 weeks, so that's not uncommon.
@doodlemomma +1 for insomnia. I haven't had to pee much but still waking up in the middle of the night for the past week and having a hard time going back to sleep.
