We have a work potluck today. I always participate, but... my FFFC is I think work potlucks are insanely stressful and I'd really just rather we didn't. Prepping food and waiting to see if everyone eats it, I just don't like it.

My boss has been really lax lately about our start and end times and often stops by our desk and encourages us to leave an hour or so early a lot of days because our commutes have gotten worse after our headquarters moved. You would think that I would be thrilled about this. And and I am in theory, but since I have been pregnant- I'd rather sit at my desk and Bump rather than go home and be exhausted and deal with try to feed and wrangle my toddler. I'd rather leave that to my DH and come home at my regularly scheduled time- which happens to coincide with her bedtime routine. I'm a bad mom.
@chloe97 no shame at all in doing that. If DH or I ever happen to get out of work early, we still usually leave DD in daycare until her normal time, just to have the rare time to catch up on something at home.

@mrsdee15 it was delicious and I'm sorry I'm not sorry Me too re: food. I won't eat raw meat (duh) or drink alcohol (for now...I'd have a bit of wine - like a few sips - towards the end, most likely) but we are such an overprotective society, something's gotta give. And mama needs her sushi.
Apparently they make filterless humidifiers now! Anyways, the mini one of the brand we already have for DD's room costs less than 3 filters for the one we have so I created a baby registry and added it to there when I ordered yesterday...just claimed my free Amazon baby box like an eager FTM even though this is my second time around!
@kvh22 as a year round user of many humidifiers, filterless are definitely the way to go! I need to buy stock in Heinz with as much vinegar as I go through keeping all of ours clean.
@mrsdee15 and @kvh22 Same here. Just make sure you have it set to private or it could show back up on your Bump registry page with your new due date and people googling your name will find it. I had never closed my registry for DD and it showed up on a Bump Registry page with the May 27, 2019 Due Date. I deleted my new due date in the app and it never ever went away, so I deleted all my registries as well. So annoying. THis is actually how I found out a good friend of mine was pregnant- I googled her to tell DH where her new job was and the good ole bump registry page showed up first with a Feb due date (this was July). I texted her and she denied it until I texted her a few months later with my news.
@mrsdee15 I loved the hedgehog swaddle!! I feel like I could have waited until we were public and actually bought something for *this* baby. Definitely no shame in getting the free box but I'm only 13 weeks today and haven't shared the news with more than half a dozen people
@sleepy33 that's great to hear! I've never used one before but it seems brilliant. I definitely didn't come across any when doing DD's registry last year. We only use it when she has a cold and her room is small but if this goes well, I'll put the regular sized one on the registry, too, assuming both kiddos would get sick at the same time and will be in separate rooms for a while.
@chloe97 Oh I am glad you mentioned that about the privacy on it - I almost made mine public so my in-laws could find it more easily. Will be keeping it on private.

I don't know if this is a confession but @mrsdee15 potluck confession made me think a lot about the random shit I'm paranoid about because of my obsession with true crime 😂. For example, there was a doctor (Michael Swango) who would kill his patients, and poison food he brought to potlucks in hopes of killing his co-workers. So, I'm slightly paranoid about pot lucks lol. There was also a serial killer who targeted young children whose first letter of their first name matched the first letter of their last name. So, our last name starts with R so R first names are off the table lol.
@eatinwatermelonseeds Literally read that as I was shoveling a forkfull of potluck food into my mouth I love true crime though, I watched a ton of it on Netflix recently and then started scaring myself when I was at home alone.

@mrsdee15 😂😂😂 sorry! If it makes you feel any better, I have a lot of things I have been paranoid about that have not been real. I'm sure your food is perfectly fine 😂
I'm watching a show called confession tapes right now, basically about false confessions. It's pretty crazy.
@eatinwatermelonseeds I haven't keeled over yet, so I guess I'll go get another round of desserts. Is that the confession tapes show on Netflix? I had been wondering about it. After The Keepers and The Staircase I was dying for another true crime documentary.

@thebobloblaw the teen mom shows are totally my guilty pleasure. I know way too much about all those fools. (And I also participate in the teenmon subreddit... 99% sure Maci is expecting #4 right now.)
My FFFC: Taco Bell has been my guilty pleasure during pregnancy. ❤️ Enjoying dinner 1 from Taco Bell now. Double Chulupa, mini chicken quesadillas, and nachos. 😍😍😍

I got my hair cut this afternoon and it was right next to Trader Joe's. After my appointment, I went in the store and just stared wistfully at the wine. I miss wine so much. I was hoping they would have a bottle of non-alcoholic wine, so I could celebrate a huge thing that happened at work today. No luck. So I bought some pumpkin spice almond milk. But dang, I miss wine. Did I already say that?
@lovelybabybumpz I said the same thing today. I asked a coworker how hard would I need to pray for Jesus yo turn my sparkling grape juice into wine? 😂 It was a long day of being a 4th grade teacher. We had our first snowfall and they go fucking crazy when we get snow. Ugh, all I want is wine after a day like today! 🍷
@lovelybabybumpz I miss wine sooo much I dream about it most nights. Usually in my dream, I’m freaking out bc I drink wine and I forget I’m pregnant.
Election night was super painful for me without wine. With DD, I think I had a total of 4-5 glasses in small increments over the course of 2nd/3rd trimester. I think I will hold off until Xmas this time-which will be about 18 weeks.
@lovelybabybumpz@mrskoz428 lol in my last BMBs FB group earlier this week or last, someone said they got shamed by their doctor for their wine consumption. I chimed in that the same thing happened to me before I got pregnant with DD. I have 1-2 glasses a night with dinner and while relaxing afterwards usually which IS more than recommended, I know (FFFC). But. that only started when DH and I moved in together a few years ago and we got pregnant with DD almost 2 years ago and I've been breastfeeding the entire time so I've obviously been drinking less (or not at all). I still have no desire for wine even though I normally love it. We'll see if that continues...
