My MS has improved, but it still looms at times. My energy levels are higher, too, but I still PASS OUT at 8:30-9 PM. My constipation has improved, which is great, but now I'm worried that my symptoms are going away too much....
I had my full prenatal blood panel done on Monday - if it was worrisome, the OB would have called me, right?
So, it looks like the fainting yesterday was caused by not getting enough fluids. Decided to take a sick day from work and focus on my water in take and relaxing.
Other than that, nausea is always lingering. Constipation has seem to have gotten worse (assuming the increased water will help with this). I want to say my exhaustion is getting better, but I think thats because I'm going to bed earlier and sleeping in later.
I'm really hoping we all start feeling better soon. Thinking of all of you ladies.
@luckystar28 I am not as miserable as you. You definitely seem to be "winning" at that, which is a terrible thing to be the best at! But please don't feel bad or like you're failing. You're doing the very best you can, but apparently this baby is out to get you from the start! I hope that the HG subsides sooner rather than later. Its really hard to "under nourish" a baby in utero. A healthy baby with healthy placenta, etc, will basically steal every nutrient you have available and it gets everything first. So the chances of this causing problems for your baby are small, especially since you're getting solid monitoring. Do your best to stay hydrated, but I cant imagine how hard it is! I always have better luck with small sips from straws? I'm sure you've tried it all. Good luck and vent here all you want!
@luckystar28 I'm not to the point you are at, but I have been pretty miserable as well. And I totally understand how you feel jealous when people say their nausea is improving. It's like "Ugh, FML!" Or when people say they love being pregnant! I secretly (or maybe not so secretly) hate those ladies because I'm so freaking jealous. My nausea/vomiting started in Week 5 and I'm at Week 10. It has definitely evolved. At first, I couldn't eat or drink anything without dry heaving or gagging or vomiting shortly after. At one point, I couldn't even stand the taste of my own mouth - even that made me nauseous. It has improved slighty - now I vomit maybe 1-2 times per day and my nausea is bareable. I'm able to eat and can drink some things. Hot tea has seemed to be the thing I can tolerate the best. I really hope for all of us and especially for you that it gets better. I feel like I have to believe it will get better in a few weeks otherwise I might go crazy. So please complain away, no one will think any less and especially if you need the support. This is hard what we are going through, but there are ladies out there who understand.
@harrierwife It'll probably take them a couple of days to get all of the results for your blood panels. But yes, if they see anything concerning they will call you. My doctor posts my results online, so they usually only message me through that unless there's something they need to talk to me about. Some of the labs come back quickly (like your CBC), but I think some of the other tests can take a bit longer to process. I think most doctor's offices take the approach "No news is good news."
@luckystar28 I'm SO sorry you're dealing with that. Not going to lie, you've gotten it much worse than me, so I'm not going to pretend I can commiserate at the level you are. I'm PRAYING Baby takes it easier on me because if I had the level you've been dealt there is literally 0 chance I would ever consider doing this again, and I dont even know how I would do it with this one (so for that, you have MASSIVE amounts of respect from me...I know that and a dollar won't buy a bagel, but for whatever it's worth, you're keeping me from complaining too much because if you can handle your symptoms with the kind of grace you are, who the H am I to complain?) But you aren't the only one who hates being pregnant, not by a long shot, and this is the place to vent about it. I know it seems like forever away, but this WILL pass, and in the meantime, I really really hope your doctor can find a better solution for you.
@luckystar28 I’m with you! I’ve felt the same for the past 2+ weeks straight and beginning to think it won’t ever end. I want to enjoy pregnancy but with all of this nausea and vomiting nonstop it seems impossible 😔 working is such a struggle right now too, I live in NYC and commutes on the packed subway are what I dread everyday
@gd2307l1618 it's definitely hard to hide at work. I ended up telling my boss because of that. Thankfully there is a cold going around our office, so I'm riding that wave as long as possible.
I had a terrible headache yesterday and was the closest to puking that I have been. I puked so much with my other two, so I know it’s only a matter of time. Food aversions and smells and pretty intense so far. I’ve also taken two naps so far today because I’m so exhausted.
@wearyfuzzball Yes! I fainted in the Macy’s check out when I was pregnant with DD. It was the blood pressure/blood sugar thing. Never happened again thankfully but its SO scary.
@katertots17 with your other two, when did you stop puking? Ha, I feel sort of stupid asking this because I'm really asking out of desperation in hope that these feelings won't last my entire pregnancy.
I'm so sorry for all of you who have fainted! That must be so scary! I'm glad you all ended up being okay and it wasn't a more significant issue. I'm also glad you didn't hurt yourself too badly from fainting! My brother fainted one time from dehydration and he face-planted into a wooden chair and had to get stitches in his face.
For those of you struggling with water (like myself) I added some lemon to mine today and kept it real cold all day and it has definitely helped make it more bearable.
I don’t think I have anything on the nausea that some of you are experiencing, but mine has been pretty bad today. I thought it was starting to go away last weekend, but then it hit me full force yesterday and today, and it’s come back worse than it was before.
Holy hormones. I cried at KFC drive thru today because they discontinued the twister wrap. After surviving on saltines and toast the last two weeks it was the only thing I wanted to eat, suddenly.
@meatballs37 I'm glad to hear someone else had to tell their boss, too. I almost puked in his office during my annual review, haha.
I’ve noticed my nausea is SO much worse when I am dehydrated. I’m drinking close to 3 liters a day. When I drink less, my nausea is sooooo bad. I’m wondering if its related to the water? Once I start drinking lots again, the nausea subsides. I was super dehydrated all the time in the first tri with DD and I’m wondering if that’s why I felt so much worse with her.
@carleym93 and @wearyfuzzball this is interesting... I will have to try it. Usually I just drink more and then I have something to vomit! Ha This is probably TMI, but I go by the "color test" and I think I've been doing okay. The lemon used to work for me, but not so much anymore. I'm still waiting for that day when I wake up and I'm like "Gosh! I'm not nauseous anymore!"
Ever since I got pregnant I have had so much phlegm. It’s disgusting. I have to really concentrate and breathe in the morning otherwise it makes me gag and I throw up. I’ve always had terrible allergies and I had to switch allergy medication. Could it be allergies that aren’t responding to the new medication or is this a pregnancy symptom?
@chrssyms I literally wake up everyday thinking "Today will be the day I don't feel nauseous". Then, I promptly get up, go to the bathroom and realize I was WRONG. Ugh. So ready for the day this is over. For me and all of us!
@antera23 totally a pregnancy thing. I notice it right away. Allergies definitely make it worse. When preg with DS, that was the only cause of vomiting. Luckily after him my allergies are not so bad and I'm not having as much of an issue this go around.
@katertots17 I read your post and I love you - I'm hanging on to that hope that soon, this too shall pass.
@antera23 yes! I have so much! It's gross. I think it has something to do with the fact that we are increasing our blood supply and that causes blood vessels to get inflammed, which then encourages additional production of mucus and stuff. I feel like I read that somewhere
@antera23 I have it too. Had it the whole time with DS as well, and then suddenly post birth I could breathe again! (the baby foot exiting my ribs probably helped with that too).
So many people have said "every pregnancy is different" but this one is more or less a textbook what my first one was. I can't decide if I'm happy or mad about this.

@prpl11butterfly, @chrssyms, @tuxielove93 thank you for making me feel like less of a weirdo! It’s always nice to know there is an end date to these symptoms lol.
The last few days when I get out of bed my boobs hurt so much. They're sore through the day but that first sitting up and moving is ridiculously painful. Between that and feeling sick I dread waking up.
Maybe it was just because I had a good day, but I added lemon to my water today like @wearyfuzzball and @BlondePeanut suggested. I think it helped. It definitely left a better after taste and I was able to drink close to 60 oz of just water today along with some milk and tea. So thanks ladies!
I feel you with the emotions. Hormones have me crazy. And I am also worried about csection again. This is baby number 2 for me (unexpected). We got this! Thanks for posting. Helps me not feel alone.
@messymyranda my boobs are sooooo tender. I worry about breast feeding every morning when i get up and they are sore AF. How will i survive? And in between they are itchy. thankfully no MS really
@canuckbaby Oh man the sore boobs. I'm not really a hugger anyway with non-DH people, and whenever someone goes in for one I'm so worried they can see me physically cringe. But it HURTS!
Today the sore boobs are on!! Even showering bothered me so bad.
also, whats with the bloat! Ugh, just 8 weeks tomorrow (and still not announcing to family) but the constant bloat is almost making me look pregnant even though I know the baby is not even 1 cm yet.
I have been drinking tons of water and that has tamed the nausea mostly. I noticed it comes if I havent had a snack for a while, so I am constantly eating or drinking water and that seems to help for now. So sorry for all you girls that are feeling so sick, hoping it passes soon!!
@ki1244 i had a cupping appt today and i refused to lay on my side.. i just sucked up the boob pain because i dont want to start now when i dont need to for sake of belly lol
Really glad I found this thread. The nausea started early but as most have said, subsides when I eat small meals and drink a ton of water throughout the day. Ginger ale and peppermint gum also did wonders. Now things have taken a turn and I have horrible heartburn! I’ve been popping TUMS with little to no relief, tonight I tried Pepecid AC and it seems to help a little, the heartburn is not as intense as it was - but still uncomfortable. Also, sleeping ... or not sleeping I guess I should say. I’ve been tossing and turning for the last week, and am constantly readjusting a pillow between my knees. I know many of you have it sooo much worse with the headaches and vomiting but has anyone had any luck with heartburn remedies? Please share. I need them! thank you for the vent! Whew.
@briweekly I am having horrible heartburn! I sleep very propped up and I make sure to do all the normal things like sitting up for hours after I eat. Zantac works really well for me. My OB said it was pregnancy safe too.
@messymyranda I relate. When my MS was super bad I would dread waking up.
@wearyfuzzball I relate. I am breathing heavy going up stairs these days. Though I chalked that up to all the laying around I’ve been doing lately, lol.

How do you not show you're sick at work? People, I think, can tell i'm acting differently....
