Traffic was blocking my parking lot this morning, so I drove over the curb, onto the sidewalk and into my parking space. As I was doing that I yelled, "yeah, I drive a Jeep, bitches!!" I felt like a badass for a whole 8 seconds.
@texas_t I know what you mean, I've got 2 weeks left of work and 8 progress notes left to write for the first trimester. How am I supposed to get those done while also seeing clients? I better figure out a way to get it done!
@AdorkablePixie I feel the same way and I felt that way when I was pregnant with B too (even though there were LOTS of ladies that gave birth after me...you included)!
So, apparently my coworkers are throwing a small dinner/sprinkle for me next Thursday at Texas Roadhouse after work (mmm, steak)! I assumed it was just the ladies, but one of the guys came down to my office yesterday and asked me about a baby Husker shirt I had on my Amazon registry. I got all embarrassed and said, "you saw my registry?!" And he said, "Yeah, Ryan and I were just looking at it!" I said, "Ugh, Ryan saw my registry too?!" Side note: I pretty much created the registry for the welcome box, the completion discount and for it to be my own personal shopping/wish list for myself. So there are a LOT of breastfeeding items on there, like the Haakaa manual pump, lactation supplements, nipple cream and a few fancy pumping/nursing bras. You know, the ones with the picture of the woman casually talking on the phone with her breast pump sticking out of each breast. For some reason, that really embarrassed me for a moment, but I got over it. I'm looking forward to dinner with my coworkers though...should be fun!

@clbness Aww that is so nice they are doing a dinner/shower for you! My coworkers won't be doing anything for me, but they did for DS and it was so nice!! It's always nice when coworkers are thoughtful like that.

I officially got pulled from work because of my blood pressure. I guess now it’s just time to sit and bake. Nursery is ready but I still need to find a slip cover for the rocker/recliner.

I’m on modified bed rest. I can get up and move around but if my blood pressure goes up I have to drink water and lay down and they want me seated/resting 45 minutes of every hour. If my blood pressure goes over 165 I have to head straight in too.
Got it! I had pre-e always curious what others had to do. I was on strict bedrest but also had a partial placenta abruption so not sure if that made a difference. Hopefully without work stress you will make it to the end problem free!

@misscheapandchic Oh man, resting 45 minutes out of every hour must be brutal.. What kind of things do you do to keep yourself busy? I would probably knit or something, but I am pretty sure my wrists/hands wouldn't hold up..
