What have you made recently? Or, if you're more like me, what ideas have you come up with that you plan to make but probably will finish in about 8 years?
I've done absolutely nothing in the way of nursery/baby projects. But I did make this bowtie out of Cotton + Steel fabric for H (he wears bowties to work instead of ties and cotton ones are a little more casual for everyday clinic stuff). This is my favorite cotton from their first collection, and I've been hoarding a few yards for a quilt that I'll someday make....maybe. I spared a bit for H's bowtie because I'm nice like that.
Couldnt help myself ha. So far I have put together a change table.. does that count? I had so many plans of DIY stuff but I’m close to bed rest and am not allowed to do anything .. myself..
Santa is bringing DS a play kitchen this year for Christmas, but I decided to be bossy and build it myself. I found the plans online and they’re pretty simple. So this week I’m mapping out what kind of wood and how much I need to buy. A friend will make the cuts for us so we don’t have to pay Home Depot to do that. IM SO EXCITED YOU GUYS. I’ve also gotten it in my head that I’m going to sew stockings for the kids and a Santa bag this year instead of buying them from pottery barn. So we’ll see how that goes.
@BourbonBiscuits That play kitchen is going to be awesome! Post pictures once it's done! I sewed stockings for H and me, and our two dogs, a few years ago, and plan to make one for LO next year. They're not difficult if you're comfortable with your sewing machine. Oddly, the only thing that I messed up on (twice) was with the loop to hang the stocking. I sewed it on backward twice so that the loop was inside the stocking, rather than outside. If you end up doing it and want some good instructions, I used this tutorial.
@hannahbananas11 that tutorial is perfect!! Love it - thank you!!
Ambitious or just too cheap to pay $600 for a play kitchen, your call lol. I am SO excited though to be able to make it exactly how we want with the right colors and everything. I can't wait.
