How far along are you? How big is baby?

30w4d, size of  zuchinni or cabbage... It depends on the app. Last week according to google baby was a cabbage, this week according to my app, baby is a cabbage so who knows.

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?

No new symptoms, but that pelvic discomfort. Ugh. Some days there is none at all and other day's it's like OMG. I guess it depends on her position.

Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?

Rants: No one's fault but DS has had a stomach virus since Friday. He go sent home from daycare after lunch. I THINK he is finally over it.

Raves: My baby shower is next weekend and I am really looking forward to seeing everyone and eating all the food. Last I heard we are having LASAGNA and salad. I love lasagna. The only thing  that would be better is a taco bar. I asked my brother's GF to make tiramisu. If we're going to do Italian, we may as well go all out.

Another Rave: My Canadian bestie is coming for the shower!! She is coming on Thursday around dinner and leaving Saturday evening. I AM SO EXCITED!!! I am taking off Friday so we can spend the day together.

GTKY: What is your favorite Halloween candy? What is your least favorite?

Favorite is anything chocolate really. Unless it has coconut in it. Yuck. I love reese, snickers, and milky ways. Least favorite is smarties. Just.. no.

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms? Eh rib pain is no joke. When im cooking dinner after a day of work it burns so bad i feel like im going to puke that I will put everyone's dinner out and have to lay on the couch for a few. The Acid reflux isn't budging till the end. Crampy today. Hoping it passes.

Rave: Last night finished the baby's Bow holder I made for her room. I will add the bar that sits on the white hooks tonight when I hang Only thing I am doing for this little chica otherwise she will be in her bro's stuff. Also my coworkers at my company (been here 2 years) were so flipping amazing they surprised me last thursday with a work shower. Never in 100 years would of expected. Worked at other company 8+ years and no one did zippy and I use to throw all the parties. So I walked in, saw my boss and coworkers from other offices and wanted to cry/pee so walked right back out a minute later lol

Favorite:  Twix, sour patch, snickers etc

Least Favorite: Sweet tarts, juju fruit, hard ass taffy

So my my husband I just got in a fight about a my girlfriends throwing a celebration mimosa brunch bc I didn’t invite more then 6 people saying I left
people out. So of course I’m upset bc I feel like it’s ruined now. I grew up in a super mind fucked household where your always wrong and
should never ask for thinks and nothing is done for someone because people really want to. I was excited for the fit’s time in my life to have a drama free event by having just a few girlfriends for it now to be held over my head I kept out important people. Now what the fuck do I do?

@mcgeeva I hear you on the rib pain!  And the reflux.  Sucks so bad.   And I wouldn't feel bad about inviting only 6 people to the mimosa brunch. You can't make everyone happy.  Might as well not stress too much about it.  The bow holder is so cute!

@katy0990 sorry your son had a rough day. Hopefully tomorrow is better!

31+2, baby is as big as asparagus?  About 16 inches and 3lbs I guess?

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?

Exhaustion doesn't go away.  I think it's here to stay.  Guess I should get used to it.  Rib/upper back pain every night continues, as does heartburn.   New this week is lower back/ abdomen pain (too much ligament stretching maybe?) and hip pain.  I jinxed myself saying I don't have the classic lower back pregnancy pain yet.   Joke's on me. 

Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?

I have 2 of my 3 showers this weekend. Saturday is a themed tea party hosted by one of my best friends.  She's keeping the theme a surprise, so I can't wait to see what it is!  Sunday is my big family/ friend shower hosted by my mom at an Italian restaurant. I'm so excited for all the delicious food.  My childhood best friend is coming up from Tennessee, and other friends are coming from Maryland and NYC.   Lots of people can't make it, but there will be plenty of people there.  I'm kind of terrified of all the stuff we will have to haul home and find room for!

GTKY: What is your favorite Halloween candy? What is your least favorite?

Favorite- Like everyone else, all chocolate, especially twix, snickers, kit kats, reese's cups, almond joy, and butterfinger. 

Least favorites- Anything not chocolate, especially smarties, candy corn, and sweet tarts.

@mcgeeva I love the bow holder! I am sorry he is giving you such a hard time about the celebration. It is for you, though, so you should be the one to decide to keep it as large or small as you want!!

@mcgeeva Yes... hopefully we have a cleared out room to put it in! lol Her room is still 2/3 full with stuff that doesn't belong in there. I am making progress though, and it looks much better! I'm sorry about the reflux. That's terrible and so uncomfortable I'm sure. That is so nice you got a work shower!! I had a work shower with DS, but I don't think they're throwing me one this time. I people who mainly took charge of it last time are gone. I'd keep the celebration small and intimate, like you had planned. Try not to let him make you feel bad!

@katy0990 I am with you on the least favorite candy. lol I hate bad behavior days. At the end of the day I always feel like a failure.

@scaredunprepared How exciting! I am from Maryland!! lol That tea party sounds fun, I can't wait to find out what the theme ends up being! The one at the Italian restaurant also sounds amazing. I love me some Italian food.

@mcgeeva love the bow holder! Any advice on how to make it? I want one for my 2 1/2 yo and baby on the way! Also I think your shower brunch event with only a few girlfriends is a great idea! There’s no wrong way to do it.

Feeling big and heavy. I might have a pregnancy waddle already but I feel like it’s too early for that!!

Poor DD has been in rough shape getting her 3 year molars in—not eating/not sleeping for a few days. Last night she seemed better and slept through the night! Yay!

Love most all candy (unfortunately!) but taffy is disgusting!

@Erinka - Super easy! I bought a frame from michaels w/ a coupon, took out the glass and back, added my own hook to the back to hang, pick the ribbon that you like for her room and just superglue to the back. I got the rod (which I didn't show - added last night) from home depot for like 10 bucks (caffee rod) and little hooks you find in the framing section to hook the rod to. Super simple! And the ribbon roses I pintrested - also easy I made it up as I went  
@AdorkablePixie thank you! I cried myself to sleep last night probably hormones but still. I am a person that always worries about others, what people think, if I have done enough so it stuck a cord with me. 

So things get even better! I bring this up bc I had an avoidance this am walking into the building where the elevator shut in my face when she got on...A lady at work was making a trip to goodwill and had a old stroller from a girlfriend she was dropping off w/carseat and gave to me (with live spiders in it) but I washed it up since it's been 5 years and paying to get pregnant for all 3 all im all for hand me downs. Welll...she has been complaining no one gave her a shower when she had her second kid here 4 plus years ago. Mind you I wasn't here. Well she emails me friday after the surprise shower and said now that you got a new carseat I need the one I gave you back since I know someone else that could use it more. Mind you it's been a month and a half, I washed it up and handed to my inlaws. I tell her I just washed and gave to my inlaws if they ever need to help me but I would be happy to get it back if she really wants it. Her response...You gave it to your alcoholic inlaws to help you?  My response: Yes you are right, my MIL is an alcoholic and it's my FIL that helps us when absolutely needed but yes. Again if you really would like it back let me know. No response - then the odd morning interaction. What do I do... wtf?? No one wants to have to justify their parenting and how I could ever ask my FIL for help bc of my MIL that never allowed alone with my kids.

@mcgeeva I would not respond further and hope it blows over. She sounds incredibly rude, and based on what you said, it does not seem like there is any possible way you could handle it that would please her

Right @katy0990 nor do I know her that well since she is marketing and sales and im in IP so we don't cross paths that much. Clearly she is unhappy she didn't get a shower for her second son and unhappy with her management 6 months paid leave after having a kid were us staff get 8 weeks.  People would kill for 6 months paid leave!

Exactly and you mad that my good friend coworker just gave me a stroller (extra one her mil bought her with tags on it) get out of here! We all want leave. I'm cutting back on eating out etc trying to save and prove to my husband i can be home a little extra with no pay.

@mcgeeva Wow!! That is incredibly rude of her. She can't give you something and then take it back because you got another one. Plus, most married couples would like two car seats because it's easier! Or at least two bases so the infant seat can be moved back and forth easily. How old was the carseat? Did you check the expiration date on it? I'm sure you probably did, but wanted to be sure.

@Erinka I don't think it's too early for a waddle at all. We're all pretty far along as this point! I think I definitely have a waddle.. or some sort of strange walk. lol It's worth when I'm having the pelvic discomfort though.

@AdorkablePixie it's from 2015. I told my husband and he was like forget the drama give it back but keeping the alcoholic comment to myself. In the end it would have been at a donation place now. So asked for it back from inlaws and will roll into her office tomorrow. If she says anything ill point out the fact she clearly needs it for someone else since she felt the need to bring up my parenting choices and my inlaws. Done!
