I feel physically good for the most part. I had to buy new maternity clothes tonight and realized how big my belly grew in a week, so that threw me for a loop. 
Emotionally I am doing pretty decent. I felt real solid kicks on the outside at 3:30am Sunday morning and a couple more times since then so that’s been pretty awesome.

3. Any appt updates?

I had my 20 week ultrasound this morning. That went amazingly. Confirmed little girl didn’t grow a penis in the last four weeks. Had a student in the room so I was able to view baby girl longer than normal so the student could practice. They asked if I was sure on not minding and of course I didn’t mind. I got to look at my beautiful daughter longer.

4. Rants/Raves/Questions?

We told our son tonight about the baby. I wish I would have taped his reaction, it was perfect. He said “what the heck? How will she come out?!” His face was priceless when he asked “I’m going to have a baby sister?”

5. GTKY- What’s the best thing that’s happened to you in the last week?

Spent a couple days with my son at the pumpkin patch, his favorite place on the planet.

2. Physically: still sick, so not great.
Emotionally: still haven't felt lo move, so not great.

3. Appt is on the 29th. Quite excited. I am seeing the ob, then have the ultrasound. I wish I had been smarter about this and asked to see the ob after. Oh well.

4. Rant: see #2. Also, dw's grandma died, so I'm at home with the pups for 3 days by myself.

5. GTKY: I got to see my mom for two days.

Pretty good all around but I have noticed my emotions tilting a little out of balance. I keep them under wrap pretty well 99% of the time but every now and then my husband will ask a pointed question about how I’m feeling about xyz and waterworks flow. 

3. Any appt updates? Hematologist today, break next week and then a follow up ultrasound that I’m very excited about. 

4. Rants/Raves/Questions?
rants/rave combo- once again my providers are doing all kinds of whackadoo things billing my insurance. I logged in to see what was out there as a kind of checklist “do I have all the bills in front of me to knock out” and my insurance page said I had like $2500 of claims that I needed to pay. I went thru each one and got it down to $80 due to the wrong places being billed. What a relief! 

5. GTKY- What’s the best thing that’s happened to you in the last week?
we took family photos on Saturday and the couple who did them for us has a highly coveted “special shoot” they do each winter. I was unable to secure a spot during open booking and am too slow to grab the cancelations that pop up. We had a great session with them where they gushed over DD and I mentioned how bummed I was about not securing a special appointment. As luck would have it, their scheduler’s family was after us for the outdoor photos and she had just gotten a cancellation notice - and they gave it to us!! 

@Kenneylynn3 I’m so sorry to hear about DW’s grandma. 

@bdesterhouse we went to the pumpkin patch this weekend too, it was daggone cold but DD had a blast!!

I feel great physically, a little tired and sore from working out, running 6 year olds around and trying to get a baby room ready while I feel Ok. Emotionally I feel pretty great, too!  

3. Any appt updates?
Nope. No more appointments til 11/6

4. Rants/Raves/Questions?
Only 4 weeks counting this one until I have the week of Thanksgiving off (yeah!!!) which will include 2 days totally kid-free since they have school M-T.

@mamakate1616 I am glad you got the insurance thing figured out - that kind of stuff drives me bananas.

2. How are you feeling? Physically? Emotionally? I've been pretty good the last few weeks.

3. Any appt updates? Anatomy scan in 1 week!

4. Rants/Raves/Questions? Just recently it's starting to sink in that yes, I'm most likely going to need to get a nursery ready, buy baby things, etc. Here I am almost halfway and this is just now starting to feel real. Is this a PGAL brain thing or just a me thing?? Hard to tell!

5. GTKY- What’s the best thing that’s happened to you in the last week? Talked about this in our weekly check in too but I got a prenatal massage and it made my whole day/weekend.

@BuckeyeNut05 Yes, the thanksgiving countdown is on! I don't have a whole week but still, knowing those days off are coming is getting me through, haha.

@diaphena I’ve not done much to prepare for this LO either, may be a PGAL brain.

1. How many weeks are you? 19+4

2. How are you feeling? Physically? Emotionally? Feeling pretty good physically, some rlp and low back pain, but nothing bad! Emotionally doing fantastic today- felt definite movement this morning and then heard a strong heart beat at my appointment.

3. Any appt updates? OB this morning, aside from being horrified by the scale (I reminded myself I was wearing boots, jeans and a vest... so totally not as bad as it looked, right?) it was a good appointment. Got to hear baby girls strong heart beat and make the next few appointments.

4. Rants/Raves/Questions? Had book club last night and shared our news with a few more friends. It was nice!

5. GTKY- What’s the best thing that’s happened to you in the last week? Had a lovely morning at the Greek festival with my family! Great food, perfect weather, good morning and dancing!

2. How are you feeling? Physically? Emotionally? Physically, I’m tired. Working out definitely helps, though. Emotionally, pretty good with a couple quirks. First, my PGAL brain is making it super difficult for me to plan anything (which is so not like me). No registry, no official announcement yet, nothing. My brother in law and his husband have a surrogate that is due 10 weeks before me and they are on top of everything so I’m a total slacker in comparison. Second, I popped last week, which is very exciting but I’m struggling with the body change and weight gain. I know I shouldn’t be complaining at all (and my DH thinks I’m cray), but I’ve battled weight issues since I was a teenager so even gaining a few pounds is unsettling. Just trying to remind myself that it’s totally normal and healthy to do so! 

3. Any appt updates? Had a great appt. with a midwife last week. Heard a strong heartbeat immediately and heard the baby make a sudden movement on the Doppler - totally affirmed my suspicions that I’m starting to feel my lil one. And this Friday is the AS!

5. GTKY- What’s the best thing that’s happened to you in the last week? Hearing baby’s heart beat. It melts me and I smile every time I think about it.

@beachbaby0523 PGAL brain has a hold of me too. That's awesome that you are expecting lo's so close in age! Just remember we still have some time. I don't have an announcement together yet either.

@beachbaby0523 and @Kenneylynn3 I am right there with you. I will let people figure it out once there is a they start to see a third kid in my pictures. It's so very different after a loss.

2. Feeling pretty huge!! I’m up  22 pounds even though I’ve been really careful. Emotionally I am doing ok. I’m having a lot of irrational fears about falling, getting in car wrecks, etc.

3. AS and next appt on Tuesday!! I’m anxious and excited both.

4. Rave- We are having beautiful fall weather finally, after an early winter scare with snow! And I’m loving me some porch sitting right now. 

5. We took our first trip since we bought our farm almost a year ago. Babymoon in Scottsdale. It was wonderfully relaxing, but even better reminds me how much I love my home!

@Kenneylynn3 and @BuckeyeNut05 thanks so much for the support! I really appreciate how this group just gets it, especially when others don’t understand how this FTM with type A tendencies keeps dragging her feet on things I would otherwise be all over.

Physically: big and uncomfortable. Emotionally: drained.

3. Any appt updates?
Just took my 3 hour GBS test this morning and really hoping I passed. I need to find out why my MFM wants to do an echocardiogram on the 6th.

4. Rants/Raves/Questions?
Sore in several places, including ribs, right hip. Irritated in between chest and bump.

5. GTKY- What’s the best thing that’s happened to you in the last week? 
This is a great GTKY, @3rdtime_charmed ! The best thing was the report from my amnio showing results are normal!

2. How are you feeling? Physically? Emotionally?

Physically, still recovering from shingles. Since starting Valtrex on Friday, it has been slowly getting better. Still some aches and pains. 

Emotionally, I started freaking myself out about whether everything was OK. I had a check up today and heard the heart beat, so I am feeling better.

3. Any appt updates? 20 week AS next week. I'm looking forward to it.

4. Rants/Raves/Questions? Wishing I could feel baby. Hopefully soon.

5. GTKY- What’s the best thing that’s happened to you in the last week?

Ugh, it's been a long week, so I feel like Negative Nancy. I took a sick day from work yesterday, slept in, and did a bunch of chores at home. I felt relaxed and productive.

@diaphena oh yea rhe reality of acquiring stuff hasn't hit me either. We've gotten some second hand clothes but the baby's room is still solidly an office.

4. Rants/Raves/Questions? Finally got my grandma moved to TX after a long 18 hour road trip. Feels good to have family besides MH's close by.

5. GTKY- What’s the best thing that’s happened to you in the last week? When I went to get my grandma, I was able to see so many good friends that I haven't seen in years. 

@karatepickles Sorry you've been dealing with shingles! FX they go away soon for you!

@3rdtime_charmed  Good to hear you had a great baby moon! Scottsdale is also on our list of places for vacation for ours. As for "feeling big"...just remember, you have 2 sweet babies in there doing twice the things

@beachbaby0523 Don't feel bad, I haven't made any formal announcements either. I use to dream about the day I could, now I get anxiety thinking about it. Probably will do something during the holidays if can pull it together! Also, struggling with body changes. MH also thinks I'm crazy when I say something. I keep trying to remind myself that I'm preggo...some days I feel like I'm 100 times bigger than I actually am.

@lelkcot I do the same thing when I get weighed LOL.. got the shoes, clothes, etc. Whatever it takes to feel better about extra lbs!! Even though its normal it's still tough seeing that number sometimes! 

1. How many weeks are you? 20+5

2. How are you feeling? Physically? Emotionally? Pretty good. Little bit of low back pain. Fatigue is no where near the first tri but by he end of the day I am pretty spent. I've definitely been more emotional lately! Not a huge crier but a few times recently it's all about the water works! 

3. Any appt updates? Had my AS last Monday and all is looking good! Also had a student in on the scan so YAY for more screen time! Next scan will be in 7 weeks. Next appt. with MW in 3 weeks.

4. Rants/Raves/Questions? All of my close friends have known for a while now but after the AS we put out an announcement for everyone else and it felt nice to share. Our son is super cute in the pic we put up so that just makes my heart melt... about every time I look at it.

5. GTKY- What’s the best thing that’s happened to you in the last week? Definitely been loving feeling the baby kicks! Also, weather has been super rainy lately so it's been hard to plan much outdoors. Sunday was gorgeous so I absolutely loved a day to get out for a hike with the fam!

@kristimh80 I know, thank you! I am thankful to be able to gain, I know others haven't, I just get super serious about doing everything exactly like I am supposed to so (or cue PGAL brain) so I'm hyper aware of what my targets should be. I'm getting really swollen, even though my blood pressure is normal so I'm hoping I can convince my doctor that part of it is water weight!
