Anyone else doing IVF or IUI on their own? *child mentioned*

My husband and I are recently separated and I always wanted more than one baby, I want to give my son a little brother or sister and make our own little family.

We did IVF to conceive our son and we have five frozen embryos left, my husband said that I can use them if I want and that he would support me if it was my wish, he does not want to take this away from me but he is unsure how much he wants to be involved. I am moving back to my hometown so he would be about five hours away in either case. He's open to having a relationship with potential babies just maybe more when they are older. I would essentially be doing this alone (the embryo transfer, the pregnancy, the newborn and baby days) I do have my sisters and friends who are here to help and support me. But still... I can't help feeling quite alone. The thought of doing the transfer on my own, going to all the appointments and doing all the shots is a bit daunting. 

I know how this all sounds, it's definitely a bit weird I agree. But I wanted to know if others are/were in a similar situation or simply doing IVF or IUI on their own with donor sperm? I would love to have someone to talk to during this whole process. Also I have a lot of questions. Like how did people around you react? And what kind of questions or comments can I expect? What was the most difficult about doing this on your own? What should I prepare for? Anything I should know? 

I won't being making an appointment until spring, so I can do the transfer at my clinic and hopefully being pregnant before moving (I plan on moving late spring, summer). Spring is when I wanted to make an appointment anyway since my son just turned two and I think if he is at least three when potential next baby comes it will make things easier.
